FL have very sad life, her parents don't care for her bc she's supposed to be "savior sister". She's only conceived to donate but when tested she didn't match her sister (Fang Wan/Ah Wan).

FL being as forgotten and emotionally abandoned kid. The mother turned against FL and kept blaming for being faulty donor. She was never considered as daughter by her parents with hateful mother who always cursed her and cold/indifferent father who didn't see her as human. Being neglected, punching bag of frustrations and hated since born. In her mother's rule, if Ah Wan was suffering... she needs to suffer more. Because of this treatment, it became her mantra that she's unvaluable. As psychologist said, their family actually being mentally affected due to situation.

Her sister was the only family that showed love to her. Thus, Xie Bo Yan who was her sister's friend acted as her own brother and guided her while growing. In past life, due to promise to Ah Wan... he took her as girlfriend and later married FL.

But on this life, she regressed/rebirthed on same day he asked her as girlfriend. FL rejected him bc knowing that he only wanted to fulfill her sister's wish and treated him as brother only.

Also, in this life... she's able to fulfill all her wishes. She able to donate kidney to sister (enable sister to extend life even short time), able to enter university and be free from parents.

Based on Xie Bo Yan's POV (extra 2), it revealed that he didn't love Ah Wan (romantically) but only saw himself as both sisters' support and close friends (unlike FL's previous guess). He sympathized with Ah Wan bc he also has sad past as orphan.

He's aware that he literally raised FL (like Father) so he's been unwilling and doubting Ah Wan's request (to make Yinyin as partner to protect her)

In past life, it seemed that he also consumed guilty bc he and sister Ah Wan hid that FL can be kidney donor.

But last scene seemed that it hinted that he probably got romantic feelings to FL (Extra 2 in his POV). I'm glad their status in end was unclear bc of their relationship issue.

For me, despite being vague ending, I actually find it heartwarming bc they able to fulfill some of their wishes (if read extra in Ah Wan's POV).

They able to have trip, FL passed college exam and entered good university. FL even introduced hed sister to her roommates.

Even if huge hint that sister died at end... at least, she able to experience good memories than past life situation.

No mentioned on how FL died in first life before regressed. We only got clue on synopsis.

its not romantic at all. In my opinion, his hands only trembled because he finally realized that he is not alone. That he too has someone for him.

He has always been so self aware that people only have value if they are useful. And he has always viewed himself as a useful pillar for the two girls and as their brother.

So, when FL says that she is not going to kill herself and she is also here for him, I feel like he too finally felt seen--released even--of his endless task of trying to remain "valuable".

I agree that in the off chance he ever develop a feelings to one of the sisters it would be the FL. But as of the current end and the previous timeline, its highly unlikely.

And I really like it this way. It shows us readers that to be non-blood related family, it doesn't have to be romantic nor have to end in marriage. Sometimes, its about just staying and showing care to one another.

Good for FL not having to deal with them anymore but also sad because the parents never tried to get to know her or make it up to her at all. From the start until the end they only had "one" child so they only lost one... :">
