Melissa, who served for her kingdom as a saint for eight years, lost her power that day.
‘My role is over.’
Then, there was no reason for her to be there.
The new saint had become His Highness fiancée, and she was no longer necessary.
Therefore, to spare herself the pain, she decided to leave before her engagement was annulled.

MC lost her saintess powers because the prince asked the goddess. His reason? He loves her so much he wanted to marry her soon, and her saintess duties were "taking too much of her time". F*ck that shit.
Suppose we reverse the roles: MC asks the king to make the prince a commoner because his crown prince duties are "too hard" and it takes away from their time to be lovey dovey. He'll still be the saint's husband, so who cares right? Who cares if he's spent years on that role and is actually attached to it? Who cares if he actually likes doing it? His opinion is not important, so there's no need to consult him! Anyway, he loves MC more than his princely duties, so he'll understand right?
That's what the prince did to MC. And what's worse, MC just accepted it. She's loved by the prince, who cares about anything else?
My only problem is that in the end of the chapter Jeid revealed that her and his family are friends and has been spying on her since he was 10. If so why didn't he help her family when they were riddled with sickness. I know their country was having a crisis but for his love, that was kind of a cheap move.
You know how people say "Give it at least ten chapters before rating it?" Yeah? Well this is eight chapters long. And anyone could probably tell how the story would go given how short it is.
It's about the prince secretly loved FL even before she became a saint and that her family was actually closed with the royal family. If that was the case, how could her family fall to such condition? Why didn't the prince and royal family give a helping hand?
