The ratings need to rise, it doesn't do the story justice. It's personally the type of novel that made me not want to pause or drop it for a bit and bulldoze my way to the end lol. I don't get the one stars hrmm, the translation where I read it was okay and the story was okay (There was an actual story and people followed it, and personally, everything was explained), you just have to try it. The summary doesn't explain everuthing much/the main plot but it's also somewhat... more>> right hrmm 🤔 (it's a 2.5-3/5 in my novel list ratings personally, which is already high)

They have a story till the end and mysteries that you would question where everything will only unravel near the end of the story. The ending was a nice happy end especially for the main cast. There were a lot of mob characters where you don't need to remember their name cause they'll just be dead the next few scenes or chapters lol. Some of the arcs or scenes with side characters' stories are just sad. Both MC and ml's bg are sad. I'm happy for their future outcome though, they deserve each other and I'm happy the ML ain't your typical cliche ML (Personality wise (I mean, MC was a playboy and has that mysterious personality besides his frivolous one... He also has that cold side because of his experience and position....

nevertheless, he truly/passionately loves the MC till the end (it isnt an instant love but he gradually fell for the MC, both amnesiac and when he regained the memories) (hrmm papapa scenes werent explained, sad) since ml's true bg was op - it's not w/o base tho since his past was a tragedy and considering his long life and experience. THE UNRAVELS MADE ME WANNA GET BACK TO THE PAST CHAPS WHERE WE GET HINTS ON HIS PAST AND WHATLL HAPPEN LOL

The MC was also an unexpected tsundere lol and some explanations were a surprise xD (wow! He can drink)... He's also a bit of an introvert and has few people truly close to his guarded heart (There were times esp the end where I felt he was a commodity being passed around lol due to his frail body (antagonist after his body and ML trying to always protecc and save him, then carry, the master in the end, and his sect bro too hahah damn I want a sect bro like the young lord cry)... Their journey was truly not smooth lol... Lots of dramas and actions along the way (every place they go to lol) even angst (They all kept me on my toes lol...I always got melancholic feelings whenever MC describes his past and how he's ready to accept his death (all of his actions and feelings made me wanna hug him and get a popcorn to enjoy their love angst haha (sudden frail shou and desperate ML trying to save him... but it doesnt mean shou cant fight. His strength is more than average. His companions were just stronger lol). Another thing, this isn't also the case of MC being a beauty, which shook me a bit, he is normal looking here (despite his parents' good genes)... ML is beautiful though (nevertheless he has a habit during his amnesiac self to put on cakey makeup lol)... Also, there's a lot of yaoi pairings huh (Sect bro, moon palace, and bishop). On another note, not everyone has one dimensional character. Just, I cant believe a lot of powerful city lords were able to fall from that honey trap scheme from the antagonist (hard work tho lol takes a lot of yrs to take fruit).. nevertheless there were those smart city lords not wanting to be part of it and city lords that has temporary benefit-alliance. The characs have their personality.

Considering the amount of reviews and the rating, I suddenly feel this novel is underrated lol. You should try it. The world building and descriptions are fine and the story development is okay too. Everything they did or encountered didn't lead them away from the major plot. The ending was a bit unexpected! The shou, I feel a bit bad for the result but it's understandable, and he's at ease - he isnt the type after fame and power after all.. im shook at the master's appearance, and OmO with the ML and bishop (The ending was okay tho, no leftover shts... QWQ MAYBE I JUST WANT EXTRAS OF THEM TOGETHER)..... Another thing, I was a bit surprised with the walking dead tho hahaha Zombie x Wuxia. They're much gross and bloodily explained tho. So much mob chara/normal people/victim death. I think it should've been explained in summary as that's one of the major things that accompanied the story development haha.... which, the reason was explained during the drama near the end chap. The goals of the antagonist and his actions towards it)

this is good QAQ

the first chapters are confusing, but don't worry, keep going! they'll be all explained. they kinda like lay out all the stuff suddenly and later they connect the dots

It was a great read, worth five stars at least!

First, quite an unique plot. There are outbreaks of living dead everywhere and they're controlled by a Gu... it all leads to MC's dark and painful past.

Second, a very fun and unique couple. MC isn't a beauty, he's even described as ordinary, but you can't help but like him. ML is shameless, loves to crossdress and teasing MC is his favourite past time. Despite all this flirting he does everywhere he is a loyal and protective lover and later on he... more>> cares about MC a lot.

Read for heartbreaking past, interesting plot, separation and reunion.

Hmm... Mixed feeling...

Anyway I like it. 🥰

I have good feeling reading it. It hurt sometime when I relate with mc's feeling but all in all its good.

Happy ending, not so much drama.

A little fluppy and not exactly funny but good to read will not stress you out. Good for people bored with there life and killing time. Lol

The title really doesn't do this story justice. It was very intriguing. When you've got to reread a lot and there are a lot of "ah so that's it" moments

very nice. I enjoyed being blindsided a lot. I enjoyed having seemingly simple and easily overlooked sentences carry so much weight. And I enjoyed that this was an interesting mix of mystery, adventure, humor, romance and god damn heartbreak.

I read this novel quite long time ago. I really enjoyed it. So much so that I actually spend money to buy SP so that I could fin the entire novel in one sitting.

Do give novel a chance guys. The summary really doesn't do this book any justice. It is more than mindless cliche-ish plot, more than just a simple plot

initially I believed it would be a story just to be cute, but I believe it's been a while since I read something so complex, agonizing and beautiful, how the characters deal with each other and how feelings work, how the characters had actions consistent with their personality.

I can't express the sadness and hole that this novel left in me because of the secondary characters and the relief and satisfaction that the ending of the main characters gave me.

After many ups and downs, but secondary characters ended up with a... more>> sad and conflicted, and it was shown that some characters were not completely black or white, but there were shades of gray, regrets and grudges.

Sorry for the writing errors, English is not my first language, and even if I understand it well, writing is still complicated. <<less

Hohoho... I want more or extra chapters maybe T_T

In the beginning its bit confusing, the reason is already explained in another review.

The use word "cultivator" a bit confusing in this story. Idk If the translator deliberately using this word or its already like that the meaning from original text. In wuxia text they usually use martial art people/ jianghu people. Cultivator is a term usually used in xian xia text. CMIIW... I feeling little confused. Because one term can bring whole different concept of world building.

So there are 1 Main CP and 3 side CP's. Main CP have happy ending, first side CP have sad ending, second side CP have happy ending, learning from first CP story. Third side CP, ehm... They actually love each other but death and responsibilities must separate them, then like 20 years later the other one finally know that his love not one side at all

This is one of the finest novel I have ever read. Don't judge the story by the name and summary, this is very well written and a very interesting and beautiful story. This is novel is very long, but it was never boring. Kept me engaged all the time. Bear through first few chapter even if you don't get a clear picture of it, you will find what gem this story is. Although the side couple's story doesn't go to very detail but is enough to give heart wrenching emotion.... more>> Main couple is love, Yun, baby I love you so much. Mystery part is amazing, very intriguing. I loved how writer reveals the important bits in single sentences and then I was like oh my god!!!!! Loved it
