The fact this theme is carried through all the relationships in this story without feeling forced is beautiful. Especially the different layers of parent child interaction. Its so well done it may be triggering for anyone who struggles to communicate with their elder family member.
This is a double rebirth story. In their original relationship there was a power imbalance in that the FL was overly sacrificing and patient with the MC who continued to hide and use the FL's patience to protect her own pride. It left the FL isolated and alone emotionally for years. Our FL found a way to resurrect the MC and protect her with the expectation they wouldn't be together because the MC never really loved her.
All of the FL's hesitation, doubt and slow reforming of trust is based on having lived a life where the MC seemingly walked away without ever looking back. We and the MC know she's sincere but it's actually very reasonable that it takes the FL three fourths of the story to feel they've communicated enough to not repeat their mistakes and they still have to untangle the consequences of their resurrection in the last fourth of the story.
The MCs become sooo sweet later on that I forgot I was single T_T
