This guy's inferiority complex really pisses me off, and worse still, there doesn't even seem to be any particular reason for it. In these types of stories, the author generally gives a reason as to why the protagonist feels like dirt compared to everyone else, usually some kind of traumatic event happened in their past. There's none of that here. 35 chapters in and there isn't even so much as a hint as to why MC is the way he is. I'll be dropping this here. Tried to tough it... more>> out for as long as possible to see where the story goes, but the main character is far too much of a doormat for me to want to keep going. And for any future review that may diss me for it, yes I am aware that he has his standout moments where he's actually assertive, and I wish he was always like that. 99% of the time, he's just a subservient little b*tch. <<less

I have no issues with the translation group. They're doing an amazing job!

The story of this novel however, it's terrible. I've read other modern world "famous celebrities hiding their identity as a mob/regular student" novels before, so I can easily say that the pacing of this novel is absolutely terrible. In the sense it's too fast. Too fast to the point where as a reader, I'm not given enough time to built a rapport to the main character, to the students of his school, and the heroine. It doesn't help... more>> that the chapters are too short, where even at the halfway "breaks" of a chapter the story abruptly moves from one scene to another.

I wouldn't be surprised if a novel spent over 10+ chapters trying to build up on the first major arc or scene alone. In fact, that's what I normally would expect from a good novel. But nope! We get an flux of scenes: the school, home, photo shoot, new girl, karoke with new girl, photo shoot again etc. All this only by the chapter I've dropped this at, which was chapter 5.

There are better novels of this troupe out there, so I wouldn't recommend this one. Not unless you don't mind the fast pacing and are okay with skimming over the chapters. For a good reference as to how a novel of this type should be, check out "I Told You I'm Not 〇〇!! ~When I Helped Out the Most Beautiful Girl in My Class, My Identity Got Found Out~". <<less

OMG, this novel has a wrong name. It should be named: "My Classmates Calls Me [Gloomy] and Make Fun of Me, but I Am Actually an Idiot with Pathologically Low Self-Estimation".

Really ... more>>
Spoiler

at the beginning of the novel MC reads an article where a journalist called him "a most handsome person he knows". What do you think was the first thought of the MC? Ofc his first thought was: "why the journalist lied in this article?"

Spoiler

After his manager'd asked MC to start to use Twitter, MC found that he cannot use his photo for his profile as per agreement. Thus the manager sent him a drawn portrait. When MC saw the portrait he thought: "What a handsome person, why an artist drawn me so lovely?" WTF, has MC never seen him-self in mirrors? Is he a vampire so he has no reflection?
