well it took him like 20 chapters, fair ig. It's still pretty annoying tho, it uses the ambiguity of japanese to confuse the characters, so when they're confessing their love and whatever, both think they're confessing to someone else because they never use pronouns lmao

In chapter 8, (or was it 9?), the protag finally confesses his feelings to the girl, but because in the previous chapter he was behaving like a child, when his older brother (who, thanks to literal YEARS of misunderstanding because the fML is a massive tsundere, thinks is the object of fml's affection instead of him) asked him about his feelings for fml, he denied it and instead mentioned the name of the first girl who ISN'T fML came to his mind, but fML had overheard this, and thus thinks he's being unfaithful and/or indecisive at the time of his confession.

in chapter 10, in her confusion, she rushes to the mc's brother for advice, and when she sees MC in front of his house, she makes the huge mistake of saying she's here for his brother rather than him, AGAIN. While it may be true this time around, because of his confession, he now fully believes that he was just rejected and thus has no chance with her.

Literally the very next chapter, they somehow magically rectified the years of miscommunication in the span of what I can only assume is a few minutes. The pacing is seriously a huge mess.
