Iijima Ryuuto was reincarnated into another world as Lute Macklen. The most appropriate occupation for his stature after reincarnation was a villager?! Even his house was just of a normal farmer and obviously poor.

In this world where goblins and dragons exist, there was a lot of stories about adventurers and mages. However, here, the occupation of a person is greatly reflected in their status, Ryuuto could not really expect to be OP.

This is a story about Ryuuto becoming the strongest, despite being a villager.

The twist at the beginning was kind of interesting, but the MC has a surprisingly emotionless and unsurprised reaction to it. He also goes through unreasonable power-ups early in the story, which really cuts down on any excitement it could have.

Spoiler

He becomes completely favored by the dragon king once he joins up with the dragons, too.

[collapse]

The action isn't exciting or clever at all so far. There isn't much sense of adventure or fantasy. The battles feel like they're being completely skipped over. Where is the suspense? The mystery? Any comedy? The opening pulled me in, but I lost interest again soon after. <<less

Pretty mediocre

The GOOD:

  • The MC plans things.
The BAD:

  • Pretty much a wish fulfillment fantasy.
  • The writing seems pretty iffy, pacing is erratic. Lots of unneeded exposition.
  • MC is pretty inconsiderate, with a bunch of sneakiness and secrets- some of which are unnecessary. Other people suffering is pretty much irrelevant to him (though he eventually 'does the right thing' anyway).
    Spoiler

I think he stole the hero's instructor, too...

    [collapse]
  • Fight scenes are ridiculous- just list the names of the actions you're doing?
The DIFFERENT:

  • Nothing really.
Where it seems to start, and where it major detours for convenient reasons... Eh- it's a story.

The MC isn't entirely the most OP and its possible he might never be, but he is currently stronger than all those that can be stronger than him i.e. The 4 heroes. This is because he got a head start on the heroes.

So while it isn't very likely for the heroes to surpass him (unless he just stops increasing his own strength) its still possible.
Spoiler

His biggest handicap is that, despite his MP being 2X or 3X the dragon kings (who prolly has the most MP in the world), he can't use offensive magic.

[collapse]

He also uses his brain a lot i.e. Tactics and strategizing which is not too unbelievable (but it would be a spoiler to reveal why). He basically finds glitches to farm for XP rather than grinding endlessly.

Its kinda like "I am the Monarch" where the MC goes around to opportunities from his previous knowledge to increase his strength. There's a few timeskips of 2-3 years but thats mainly bc the MC started training from 2 yrs old.

There's a clear plot line and the "harem" members have a good background are not just mindless women.

Another isekai reicarnation novel but maybe the most unique one I have read ever, the MC reincarnated twice and and uses the knowledge gained in his first to become strong enough to protect the girl he likes from anything, great variety of characters, not very much world building yet but we do get involved with a very reclusive group

While I liked the characters having a real characterization and not just blank slate to project on, I cannot say exactly to the story. Multiple reincarnations for the sake of plot is not necessarily a good idea due to messing with timelines if not handled carefully.

A Deus-ex-Machina granting powers, isekai tensei MC and a damsel in distress heroines every arc is just as cliche as it can be. Also weakest job turning into a badass job has already been done already.... cmon

Novel can be noted as being extremly dark with intense gore, immense plot holes and little vigor to it. The main characters progress is extremely slow and is looked down on by everyone who dosen't know his real strength, basically the whole population of the kingdom. Meanwhile the sage is idolized by everyone and is ignorant of the fact that he's batsh*t evil and will do whatever it takes to be glorified. The reason MC dosen't outright kill him despite knowing he's evil is because he intends to use and... more>> manipulate the sage to his full abilities to save the heroine/hero from her certain death.
Spoiler

After oni arc things may change for him as he's been awarded a knight status despite everyone who didn't witness his strength claiming he was only given the status to save the school the embarassment of enrolling a villager

it still somewhat lacks in excitement. <<less

Little dissappointed.

Its not the story about op skill or character but its about how everyone dissing him for being a 'villager' and how everyone surprised how strong he is despite being 'villager'.

I personally don't mind this story all that much, but the character development is a mess. The author seems to have absolutely no intention on developing any character other than the main character, Lute, and he's is unreasonably overpowered to an unentertaining degree. It's not much of a stretch to say that Lute isn't really a character at all. He doesn't have a personality, just a backstory.

The chapters tend on the short side so there is little to no substance in this story either.

I've read offensively bad things that do... more>> really dumb nonsense their characters and this is not that. This is basic, middling, and shallow. <<less
