Miss Demon Maid

Bullied and pushed off a cliff by her classmates, a girl opened her eyes together with the sound of thunderous lightning. Upon returning to the classroom, she and everyone in her class were summoned. They arrived in a world with an eerie resemblance to an online otome game that had been popular on the internet (but only the internet).

Neither had they been summoned as Heroes to defeat a Dark Lord, nor would they be Saints to save the world. They were summoned to become Partners to nobilities. As the students were rooted to the spot in abject confusion, a girl walked forward to stand in front of a villainess with a smile.

“I shall be in your service, milady.”

This is a story of a clumsy villainess and a maid who came from another world.

For her Mistress’ love, the maid’s work is never done.

Much in line with the author's other works, the protagonist's actions are in a nicely ambiguous grey area. I often find myself cheering for her then following up with the thought, "alright, that's kind of messed up."

The story is generally light and fluffy material without anything taken too seriously or too dark. It is good popcorn material if you can stomach the mild descriptions of gore and torture. I think the worst I've read so far is.. Sticking a hand inside a dead guy and using him like a puppet.... more>> Now I know that sounds bad.. Because it is. BUT, the author clearly defines the bad guys, so there's little ambiguity as to why they had it coming.

The author is consistent and knows how to keep a story from outstaying it's welcome. It should be another fun ride. <<less

a funny story, maybe a bit lacking in the writing style department but still enjoyable.

characters : 4.5/5

story : 4/5

writing style : 3.5/5

translation : 4/5

for those who are confused about the different timelines :

Spoiler
    1. Kamishiro, the human MC died when she fell on top of those big metallic garbage.
    1. She reincarnated into a slime (?) /little spider in the demon world. Weak
    1. She got summoned by Sharon to the game world and got a buff
    1. she comes back to the demon world because the summoning wasn't completed but with the buff, she beat and ate all those demons around, becoming strong in the process
    1. the golden lord and head maid sent her back to her human body, at the time she fell, this time, easily surviving the fall
    1. the whole class is summoned, 16 people originally but our MC not dying got involved and make the number 17
    1. time to start the story
      [collapse]
I guess from other comments that the headmaid and golden lord are characters from another of this author's novel. I enjoyed reading it quite a bit, the characters may be a bit 2D but there's a good amount of humor, dark story, reversal and all in good balance. Would have love more character development but that's still a good read.

PS: I know a lot of people doesn't like those seeing two overly close guys or girls hoping for homo but I'm still sad that there's no yuri with all that happened here xD

tldr : 4.3/5, a good a funny read. Not too fluffy but interesting.

This is essentially the sequel to Demon Noble Girl, from the POV of a new character. It's a good story, with a similar style of humor. So if you enjoyed that one, you'll enjoy this story too.

(Although, it's equally fun even if you haven't read Demon Noble Girl. I'd even say this one is more accessible, since that one is much longer.)

I am always a fan of the mob character being in the spotlight from isekai's but this is a great mix between tropes mixed from isekai summoning and otome game novels, very good.

There are two translators for this series each doing about half. The first one did a pretty good job. The second... well, it is just barely comprehensible. Truly, most sentences make little sense and the pronouns are a mess. You can get the gist of the story, but you won't enjoy it.

Due to this, I give the series a two. With a good translation this could have easily been a three.

A bit about the novel itself, this is a wacky story where a quirky and OP maid summoned from another... more>> world to save the very shy and innocent villainess from her unjust fate. I generally like those kind of stories. <<less

Interesting concept and tried its best to fix the holes of a typical isekai world.

If there's something I hate, it's that it didn't really go deeper on issues. The romance is also more comedic for my taste.

But overall, a good novel to read.

First ~40 chapters are great. Fresh story, funny moments, unexpected plot turns. Probably the only bad thing there is Sharon existence. Still it was 5 out of 5

But the story ending... It's plain awful I think. It's so bad that 3 stars is the best this story deserves overall.

Spoiler

Who the hell needs another goddess there who becomes more powerful then previous one instantly? To make letty evolve? And why the hell it evolved? Because of Sharon acceptance? Also why goddess looked like middle aged woman? Was she using illusions before?

I frankly speaking regret that I read it now

Funny. A demon named by Yuru from Akuma Koujo, that is trying her best to serve her lady and finish her first contract. Really funny writing. Her personality is really close to Tina (Akuma Koujo again) since she's under Tina's guidance. Really funny srsly read Akuma Koujo first to understand what is happening with the seaweed

Miss demon maid is one of the best "raising villainess" type novels I've ever read.

This novels ties some part of itself with the author's previous novel "Demon Noble Girl".

It's an fun and entertaining little novel you can read when you don't know what to do. It's characters are simple and not very complicated, you don't have to use a lot of your brains to read this novel.

There's not many complicated things in this novel, the world is quite simple, and the characters (except the villainess and the maid) don't have... more>> a very complicated past you need to know to understand what they are doing or why they are doing certain things.

Anyway, this is a novel I'll recommend to people who's looking to read some comedic novels that you can read with your brains turned off. <<less

there's also elements of " goddess's scenarios: manipulates people to act their role

first half. Exactly where Oniichanyamete left is pure comedy gold.
Spoiler

stop at this or arc after head maid tina's visit if you want maximum enjoyment from this series.

after that. Tension has been reset. Begin setup for final confrontation. Good comedy is there but also really vague plot points (that can go anywhere) too. From my experience, I bet that that author will go off the rail this time too. And how right I am.

final confrontation. Garbage is all I can says. At first it try to be intellectual. Then processed to go off to space like author's other novels.
Spoiler

1. Fight breakdown.

2. People dies left and right.

3. All antagonist characters that won't redeem will go this way.

4. The protagonist get revelation.

5. Main bad guy got beaten

[collapse]
no logic or anything. That guy suddenly dead. This new character suddenly appear. And comedy's goner. It's shounen with bad fighting choreography, no tension, and no morale high ground or interesting ideology from both sides. <<less
