Kein, a middle-aged adventurer, found a very rare item, the 『Resurrection fruit』 in the middle of his everyday routine herb gathering.

He contemplated selling it for a lot of money, but suddenly met a girl looking for the fruit to save her companion’s life.

She reminded him of Altena, his childhood friend who had passed away, so he gave it to her in exchange for a paltry sum.

In truth, the girl was actually the strongest adventurer Anastrea, known far and wide as the ‘Sword Princess’.

The next day, the lowly D rank Kein suddenly received an invitation to join an S rank party… he managed to defeat a terrible and strong monster and miraculously gained lots of money… and finally recieved a confession from a 13 year old saint.

Kein’s previously simple life is changed completely because of his encounter with Anastrea.

... The main character's not from Japan, I'm pretty sure, but he does act like it. You'd think someone born in a fantasy medieval setting who's been an adventurer for 20 years wouldn't act so polite and self-effacing with literally everyone, yet here we are, another guy with a generic Japanese salaryman mentality getting a harem of teenage girls with no effort and no action because of his worthless personality.

I still rated it 3 stars because other than the protagonist everything else seems pretty good if on the generic side,... more>> but I don't really feel like following him around, watching him do his best to be mediocre. <<less

Surprisingly, a good novel for entertainment. Altho it's just 5 chapthers now, I can see some potential on it in the future chapthers. The MC is just a nice and kind middle-aged men that will get a harem (yeah, it will happen eventually, maybe with yanderes but need to be 100% sure before tagging it) because of a good deed.

Can't say much about the characther yet, but the girls (two confirmed to have some feelings for him when I'm writting this) tend to have the clichê of falling in love... more>> because the MC is a good guy, however, they did a research about him and got to know him better than just a mere act of kindness, so I can pass the clichê.

The writting is good and the translator is doing an amazing job. I hope he can find a new house to stay and continue to translate this novel since it's quality is so good to not be used.

Overall, I would say it's a nice novel to read. I don't expect OP protagonist or some great quest for the world, but a nice slice-of-life comedy adventure to relax once in a while. <<less

It's decent. Starts quite slow and boring, but starts to pick up around chapter 30. The MC is a truly 'good' middle aged man, and it's sweet seeing his interactions, the three S rank girls are funny and the story is kind of funny in a really light way?

My main and biggest problem with this is that the MC, for some unknown reason, is the most Japanese MC you could possibly make, in all the most annoying and bad ways. But nowhere is he said to have been isekai'd. So... more>> why he has that personality god only knows. As for specifically what is bad, virtually anything you've ever seen someone complain about with regards to a Japanese MC...

There are some interesting subplots that just haven't moved anywhere, which is too bad, the story till chapter 30 or so is pretty much a repeat of the same kind of thing over and over. From 30 and onwards it's starting to pick up a bit. Hopefully we'll get some more story or character exposition, characters are feeling pretty one-dimensional as of now. Unfortunately it also doesn't really feel like there's much going on behind the scenes plot-wise either. Though that feels like it could change soonish, I'll update the review if it does pick up.

But, it's a decently fun read that's ultra light, so no need to think or worry with this one. Everything just literally falls into place for the MC. <<less

So far, the story seems fairly cliched and is occasionally awkwardly translated, so it isn't great, but there's nothing egregiously awful about it so far as long as you like light novels. I'm giving it a 3 for now and withholding judgement until there's more to see.

The story seems tailored for people who like fantasy, harem and a righteous MC. If you're into kinks like NTR or r*pe you'll likely not like this. Its for people who like moral characters. The only contradiction to that is that several of the girls are only teenagers. Its the only off-putting portion for me. (However as of yet nothing has happened between him and any of the girls - he's clueless about the females interest, not "every girl" as someone claimed but he's got several that are showing interest... more>> in him.)

MC is a good guy who deserves his good luck and his harem due to sticking to his values and working hard for 20+ years to support his orphanage family. He's not a japanese beta protagonist like some have mentioned, A better description would be closer to a highly religious type character. He was raised in an orphanage by a nun and he sticks to the morals he was taught. His "politeness" and "righteousness" are totally understandable and for me, it makes the character much more agreeable than some tr*sh NTR story protagonist. As in real life, the bad guys are the immoral ones, and they all eventually get their comeuppance. <<less
