The novel is good and the plot is pretty much very straightforward. Smut is only PG13, very vanilla. I would rate the story itself at 4 star.

My reason for the 3 star rate:

The grammar and syntax for the translation are really messy. The gerund and tenses were not being used effectively and the flow of the sentences are choppy. My heart and mind were cringing the whole time I was reading the story.

I appreciate and am grateful for the translation but I hope the translator can get an editor and... more>> a proofreader for the story.

To others who want to read the story, if you are not as particular with grammars as me, you can give this story a shot. I recommend this for those who want a short and sweet story to pass time, but not for those that are looking for a hardcore lemon (you won't find the steamy smut here). <<less

A short sweet story.

Something that won't happen irl at the same era.

What a nice read. It's not so smutty and the FL is not a Mary Sue but she used her skills as a secretary in her former life to assist the ML in his business and, in turn, make her life better. It's a realistic goal, the FL knows her place and she's smart but unassuming. I like the ML alot. Eventhough they are intimate, he respects and appreciates the FL's intellect and tried his hardest to give her a proper title.

Sweet simple story, though it has R-18 tag, it is not smutty. At best it is PG-13. But the story is good and compact.

Pretty sweet and fluffy novel with a little plot. Not harem.

First let me say thanks to the translator. It's a very solid translation and well done in the parameters it set for itself which didn't include rewriting sentence and paragraph structure to make it more comprehensible.

Next, Just what is this story?: It's a basic secretary domineering CEO story set in ancient times. It's a pretty solid read for this sort of thing. The author makes good use of the characters position and the social setting to provoke anger. The characters are well developed if a bit annoying and overall... more>> it flows well.

It loses points for a variety of reasons. One there's that modern Chinese Communist mind set which finds itself manifesting in ancient characters. It does pull you out but thankfully it's mostly near the end and not that big a deal. The ending lead up is more than a little annoying as well. Not to spoil but what happens with the MC's life experience was completely unneeded and detracted from the story. It would have been much nicer to see them play the hand they were dealt at the beginning.

Bottom Line: A difficult but good read very enjoyable. <<less

Very predictable but still a good read. The characters are likeable and the conflicts are solved in a reasonably quick fashion. It is strange that the ML is the only one who successfully investigates MCs identity as a Princess since even the royal family fail to do so, but it’s obviously a convenient plot hole to justify MC and ML’s wedding. Although it's short, it doesn't leave off an unsatisfactory taste. Unlike other short novels that will make you crave for more or will have you wish for at least a couple more chapters, this novel ended just with the right timing and length considering its writing style and pace.

It has a smut tag but it's not that vulgar or detailed and can be skipped if you're bothered or not in the mood with it. The smut aspect doesn't really affect the flow of the story, in my opinion.

The plot twist,... more>> for me, came suddenly lol. I honestly giggled a bit because although I kind of anticipated the thought, it was still a bit high profile that it was unexpected. Anyway, go for this if you're up for a short and simple read. <<less

Really simple and heartwarming story. There are some parts that will make your heart stop but overall it is very sweet. ML goes the extra mile for FL despite hearsays and others opinions. There is smut but it is not explicit.

Really recommended for anyone who wants a short and nice read!

A breath of fresh air among all the dogblooded romance novel where the misunderstanding and melodrama between main characters is endless.

Our FL, Fang Han is a 21st century modern white collar worker who comically died and transmigrated to ancient times. She didn't have any type of cheat or anything. She is the epitome of any simple and hardworking girl we see. Though she quickly accepts her circumstances, how she tries to improve her situation is quite the journey. Some readers may say that there is something wrong with her moral... more>> character but I don't think so. She slept with her single boss, but man! That's ancient times we are talking about! And in my opinion, we should be open for premarital s*x for woman as we are for men. It's 2022, people!

Our ML, Qiao Bai Rong, may not appear that much considerate. But I think he pampers and takes care of FL very much. Now, he isn't a transmigrated but an ancient man. Taking into consideration of the environment he was raised since he was a toddler, the amount of care and love he had towards FL earn him one of the best male lead title from me.

Though the ending is a bit rushed. But the novel is well written! And the emotion of the characters was grasped accurately.

Now, we can't nitpick everything here. I mean... look at the size... it's a pretty short novel but enjoyable, nonetheless!

P.S:

Honestly, it seemes to me the historical version of CEO-Secretery love story. It's also quite hilarious how Fang Han addresses everyone by the position of a corporation.

I mean, there is other bosses but the ML is the president... Lol, girl lol! >_< <<less

Very good story. Short and sweet. Translation is also well done and easy to understand.

Definitely, not R18 but the plot was fluffy and nice. I read because of the pregnancy tag and there is no pregnancy.

The story started out 5 years into the main protagonist's transmigration with an established relationship with the male lead. Though there wasn't much scenes on the protagonist's business knowledge and quick wittedness, it is still acceptable since the story is that short.

The male lead is a total sweetheart towards our protagonist (and a big bad wolf to everyone else) and our protagonist is a smart and super realistic modern woman living in ancient times. The story focused more on the romance (slight hint of smut) and power play within the family. There's conflict in the relationship (aka slight misunderstanding), external conflict towards the relationship (aka family disapproval) and a nice plot twist. I truly love reading this very sweet love story.

Qiao Bai Rong and Fang Han are truly a caring and loving couple. I enjoy reading their love & relationship.

They both are so lucky to have each other.

Is actually not too smutty, falls under the realm of unrealistic and there are some translation errors.

Still, is a very sweet story. She is a transmigrated OL, smart and hard-working. He is a young master from an affluent family, sly and clever. There aren't many scenes that show their aptitudes in the working area unfortunately, but the good side of this story is that is not stretched til eternity, is short, concise and won't take you 1000 chapters to the already used and abused storyline of transmigration, showing off the... more>> MC skills and endless pampering.

I did expect this story to be heart-warming. The MC is best, cause she adapts to her situation and makes the best of it. This how everyone should be, in my opinion. The ML, is quite good too but MC is the best.

super short story I read during a period of chaos and a lot of work. There are a lot of grammar errors, so be aware of that. But this story is really cute and satisfying, the couple is so wholesome. Loved it.

A wholesome read... with a little spice. A nice bit of fluff for an afternoon. Translator did a good job, too.

short and sweet. Nothing really awe-inspiring but it was still a fun read. I like that it didn't overstay its welcome but I wish for the characters to be fleshed out a bit more.

This is such a good read for short novel. The pacing was enjoyable and leads were good together and also I liked that the novel started when leads already trusted each other and only complications of their status were highlighted.

FL (Fang Han) was not Mary Sue and no cheats. Her secretarial skills were not overpowering but contributed alot to ML (Qiao Bai Rong). ML was also a good & smart boss while considerate, doting and kind lover of FL.
