Chu Nan was just an ordinary student, but because of an accident, he obtained the data collection, analysis and processing ability equivalent to the most advanced optical brain.

In his eyes, everything in the world could be analyzed with the most accurate data. Any attack by the enemy was only a combination of countless data points. Even the flow of Internal Breath in his meridians could be accurately quantified with data.

With the help of such extremely accurate data, he could use his physical strength optimally and also create the most suitable internal cultivation method for himself. Following this, his strength naturally advanced by leaps and bounds.

After such a sudden event, his life was completely changed.

Very s*upid Story.

Fault Of Story Listed Below

  1. MC Is like super idiot with brain, always making mistakes.
  2. Story is so much slow, it going slower than snail, so you get continues boring.
  3. Every one uses MC talent for their benefit, and idiot MC not get any benefit, and always crying why so weak and poor he has.
  4. For example when Noctrom Commerce uses him for experiment then he need to demand more money, but idiot is happy with what theirs throw in his face like a owner throw to their s*ave.
  5. There was so many s*upidity of this novel, so I don't want to waste time on writing it.

Story started out optimistically. I was enjoying it thoroughly with only a couple complaints. The main complaint at that time was the author seems to feel the need to over explain things to the point you can skip almost entire chapters and not actually miss out on anything.

Moving forward though my MAJOR complaint becomes that the MC is constantly, CONSTANTLY, taken advantage of and manipulated and blackmailed and screwed over, and he takes it all happily. Over and over again. The MC is PLEASED to be manipulated and abused.

It got... more>> to the point I couldn't stomach reading any further and dropped it in disgust.

Unless you are specifically in to seeing a MC manipulated and abused while acting oblivious to it, or downright enjoying it, skip this. <<less

Was pretty good novel for sure, at least at first. If I had to score it more accurately, it would be around 3, 5. For me, there are only couple issues. First, the pacing of the novel. Secondly, the main character- more specifically his actions and "choices".

About the pacing then: It's very juvenile. Through out the whole story it's rather lacking. There are problems like fights sometimes lasting up to ten chapters long, only to be followed by crazy complicated conclusions that are half a paragraph long at best. Then... more>> there are also lots of "pointless" moments, not quite fillers, but some small things that the author somehow expands into longer lasting instances- things that are often not even in any way relevant or important toward the story. My overall judgement is that this author should be rather inexperienced writer- he has got the ideas down but can't paint the picture for us readers in any kind of perfect harmony yet.

Secondly, the main character: This is pretty interesting one I feel like. By all measurements the main character is actually pretty cool dude. He has his own principles, I do like the humorous side of him the author managed the build, he holds some pretty interesting values and just generally is pretty likeable character. What goes wrong then? Frankly, it's how the story plays out for him. How the author "forces" s*upid plot branches onto him. Let me give you couple examples from the story:

Spoiler

Example #1: Bad guy is threatening MC's family. His solution? Go beg the bad guy and promise to give him important stuff later on if he leaves MC's family alone. Now, I'm not mad at fact that this happened, sure MC is kind of pu*sy here but it's not that big of a deal for me. What I am mad about is how INCONSISTENT of his character this was, this ran completely counter to anything he's done before. And there most definitely were other options too, even in the already explained story verse there were things he could have done. But author needed him to do this one thing, completely out of character for him, because it was relevant towards plot branching he came up with.

[collapse]

Spoiler

Example #2: MC is forced to, due to no fault of his own, break a majorly expensive machinery. In fact the people most directly responsible are certain party that own the machine, and are known in the story verse for being partial and fair. Everybody agrees that it's not his fault, he has people backing him up on it even if force was needed to explain it. YET STILL it becomes a plot of "forcing MC to pay the money by practically signing a s*ave contract", the very same kind of contract that he very cleverly avoided multiple times before, strongly stating he would never sign it. Once again, completely shitty act of reversing of the MC's values to fit new story narrative, a grave mistake from the author.

[collapse]

And so on, and so forth. There are several other, thought smaller, issues like that in the story as well. Things that shouldn't hold value suddenly become relevant and other stuff that should be important will be skirted past quick or sometimes even skipped entirely. To me what it feels like is the classic case of having written the story before the book- the book world kept evolving into something entirely different and the story narrative could no longer fit the mold. Sad stuff.

Now for a complete conclusion. Do I recommend this book? Sure, it's pretty alright. It has its faults but its most definitely not all bad. In fact the scores here feel slightly unfair. Translation wise there's almost no problems at all. For other generic parameters like worldbuilding and character development.. Just check it out yourself. It's pretty standard web novel level.

-----------------
Edit: Read quite a bit further and the quality keeps dropping. The MC turned into some standard cookie cutter shounen MC that no longer kills his enemies and most fights are concluded talking. Saddening to be honest. I'm not sure what happened to author but he keeps making a total loser out of his main character, forcing him into situations and choices that were completely out of his character from before. It's getting harder and harder relating to the MC and his actions anymore, because mostly they're just ret*rded now. I'll keep the previous scores out of pity for the book but for possible readers here just keep in mind there's a lot less consistency than it would originally seem.

Edit2: Had to drop it around 1300. I honestly don't know what got into the author. Maybe he awakened some cuck or masochism fetishes, or just generally damaged his brain somehow, but all the new plotlines revolve around MC being some weak loser. Even the MC himself constantly started putting himself down. The reason we read these books is to relate to cool characters and experience what they are experiencing, I don't.. Or rather I can't relate to a loser like this. What a f*cking travesty. <<less

First off this novel is not a perfect 5 stars. I only gave it 5 to try and bump it up a bit, it's a very solid 4 stars. You can read it on VipNovel

The MC is not the typical Chinese MC. He isn't bull headed and pig headed. He doesn't fly into a rage over nothing, he avoids killing most of the time depending on the situation and his mood. The World is post modern so there's a government etc, doesn't make sense to go on unstoppable killing streaks... more>> openly and include the villains family etc.

The side characters are great. Bit childish but that's OK tbh imagine making a 16 year old stay at home and cultivate all day, they will be much more imature than a normal 16 year old.

My main heroine is very likeable. I honestly don't know if this was written by a Chinese guy living in the west or by a women, its very different from the normal Chinese garbage I enjoy reading. Yes I know its garbage and I like it.

The thing I like the most about this novel is the down to earth nature of the MC. He doesn't think he is a god, he has shame, he lacks confidence at times, he makes mistakes, he values friendship.

He makes deals when he is still weak and the deals are well not very good. People dislike that but I feel like that's realistic. Yes others more powerful than him often try and use him. But again that is normal. It happens every day in real life. Anyone who works for any big company irl is being used. You work like a s*ave for some money, meanwhile the shareholders are on boats. Its REALISTIC. As the MC becomes stronger and more well connected he starts making better deals and is used less.

If I was a immortal in a fantasy world and some kid tries to make a deal with me that is ludicrous like in many other novels, I would cripple him, soul search him and that's the end of that. But if its a reasonable deal I would have no reason to. Its win win.

Most of the deals in this novel are win win. Aka weak MC gains money, powerful company gets data.

My biggest complaint about this Novel and the reason it isn't 5 stars is plot armor. That armor is so thick. It's annoying as hell.

If you a western reader that like Chinese novels, you should like this novel. It's doesn't have most of the problems western cultivation novels have. And it doesn't have some of the garbage chinese novels have. It was a very enjoyable read. Please try it. <<less
