The reason this story has a cover and insert image is because the author of this one is more known as an illustrator, and wrote the story on a flight of random inspiration.

What an unusual oneshot.

A nice quick-read.

The protagonist is weird and can be considered slightly tsundere and a villainess.

Since this is a one-shot, I'll try to be short and concise in my review. As usual, avoid or skip if you want to read it yourself without any other prior opinions.

God, this was hilarious. I rarely, if ever, rate one-shots higher than a 3-star because of the lack of in-depth world exploration, shortness, etc, but this just landed itself in the Very-Good-zone. The author knew what they were doing, making a fast-paced comedy well executed from beginning to end with a surprisingly meaningful friendship hidden in the folds. The... more>> protagonist was a fresh breath of air from all the other s*upidly naive ones of the same Villainess sub-genre. The translator is a pro - it's amazing how a good translation can change a reading experience.

If you're in a lighthearted mood, I wholeheartedly recommend this. <<less

Well, that was a ride.

This is the first time I rated a one-shot anything more than a 4 star, and it certainly deserved it. Usually, stories like these feel rushed and incomplete, but this one effortlessly manages to actually tie the string up with lots of jewels and beads in between it. It really only has about 3 characters pushing the story, but only 2 of them are explored more deeply: the protagonist Maria and her maid Nelly. The whole story is composed of an endless loop of Maria dying,... more>> reviving next to Nelly, and trying not to die. The readers never find out why exactly she keeps on reviving, and even at the end, she revived with seemingly no reason for it, even after her personal goal of not dying within 10 years was realized. Her deaths are very interesting though, and they range from being beheaded at the guillotine and burned at the stake, to being struck by thunder and slipped by stepping on a banana peel. Though, most of them are not explored deeply, often outright said by Maria or Nelly. My favorite was the one she got abducted by aliens, though I wish there were more details explaining the history behind the deaths, like aliens, wtf?

Though it makes you wonder that if she finally gives into herself and takes Nelly, will it end? Because clearly, it seems to have some shoujo ai undertone.

It was so good. A badass villain who does whatever the hell she wants. 5/5 would want more chapters.

Yep, Queen Celes has returned, and reincarnated as Maria. And she's living in hell... enjoying her life being reborn as Maria... who always end up dying and being reborn in eternal loop... shows a different kind of hell, and an enjoyable at that.

Maria is always completely, shamelessly, unrepentant herself. A very refreshing short story of an irrepressible anti-heroine facing an impossible situation.

Hilarious, witty, and seriously fun.

Come and spare your 5 minutes to watch this train-wreck that was the MC and her light-hearted journey to ended up not dying. It'll be worth it.

Wow just wow. What an unusual novel to read.

The novel really takes on a different direction compared to other ones. The plot was just so good and enjoyable to read.

I just hoped that this wasn't a oneshot 'cause this novel has really a potential to be a good series!

Honestly, I couldn't stop reading this fun ride! For a oneshot, it was like a party train that kept on going and I never wanted it to truly stop.

MC is a lil s*upid but she's loveable in her own way with how much effort she puts into things.

Side characters have brief but enjoyable appearances that leave their mark as well.

... more>> Can I just ship her with everyone? I can right?

Bonus points for pictures of my favs being drawn cause the author is also a pretty good artist.

Truly the only complaint is that this is a oneshot but for how the story is paced, it feels like a rapid fire shotgun wedding so maybe it's also a small blessing in that sense? I'm sure they could write a longer version that goes by individual chapters of her Adventure if they wanted to too which would be intetestint to read. <<less

This is one of those masterpieces that you can only experience as a oneshot: it's concise, it's full of character. It doesn't have much exposition, there's no real reason for worldbuilding, so you just have to make it fun

and oh yes what fun it is

it's fantastic. The author managed to completely flesh out the MC in one chapter. The ending it neither happy nor sad but it makes complete sense, you arent left with the sense there should be more or its rushed. I don't have any complaints and I would 100% recommend

Oh my this is hilarious. Like this is the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

Truly awesome read. Short funny and a different take on a villainess protagonist.

Maria does whatever she wants and it's glorious. Like she gets more absurd as the story progresses and it's hilarious indeed.

A very fun read with a great MC.

Maria, a really interesting carefree villainess. She truly defines carefree with her fun antics and with her attempts in trying to escape her fated death. The story was fun and the ending was well done, creating a glorious oneshot.

An impressively glorious trainwreck of WTF - this has more characterization and hilarity than many full-length novels. Maria is the full incarnation of "I do what I want" and it doesn't work out great for her - she keeps dying and looping back. This makes me think of the manhwas Lay a Hand On My Brother And You're All Dead and Lethal Romance - they're chaos and hilarity boiled down to their very essence and you're both wondering what the heck just happened and laughing so hard tears are running... more>> down your face. It's GLORIOUS! <<less

A pretty decent and short comedy oneshot that doesn't overstay its welcome. Despite its short length, the characters get enough personality that you end up liking them.

TL: The translation is kinda wonky, it reads like a machine/ESL translation at times. Look for the release by SpicyEPUBs, which is proofread and fixes the wonkier sentences.
