TL;DR: A total bore fest with no soul, a lifeless husk of a novel.

I really don't mind the ridiculous premise, that grimoires are manga, it's just there to give an excuse for making the MC op and a bit of comedic effect I'm guessing, I also don't mind the lack of plot, there seemed to be one at first, becoming the greatest master mage at age 6, getting 2 wives, then it seemed he would lay low, building up business and support his family, that suddenly changed however, from "it's... more>> fine if only my wife/wives know how awesome I am, their opinion is all that matters to me", into suddenly running around saying, "yeah I'm awesome, everyone look at how great I am". And then for all of this to end up in episodic chapters where it's all about goofing around.

This is a clear sign that the author didn't know where he was going at all, but all of that is fine since this is a slice of life novel.

IF that slice of life part was actually enjoyable and it's certainly not! It's a complete bore fest. You have a beast-man for the fluffy and mofumofu moments but instead you take her around on walks while making her wear a collar, which seems much more ero than it does fluffy or cute in any way, while also insisting she's acting more like an animal than an actual human, making her a literal sub-human so it's all right that she's just a pet.

There are no heart warming moments in this novel at all, they all lack any kind of build up and soul. You could say that the reason for this is the episodic chapters and that every chapter is extremely short, but that's only part of it, if you build up some kind of attachment to the characters themselves in the beginning that wouldn't be a problem, then you could easily go over to this style of novel. It just happens too early on, you don't sit there with a feeling that you know the characters enough, there's not enough depth to them yet and it's not to the point where the episodic chapters have scenes where you would think "that's just like him/her", this also means that any attempt of comedy falls flat on its face. <<less

After reading over 50 chapters I can only say that I find this novel really boring.

Silly premise, OP protagonist everyone's worship of protagonist is not a problem, complete lack of tension is. That is to say, I'm not against lightheartedness and fluffiness in novels, I love lighthearted moments, happy endings which help alleviate sour seriousness of anything that happens in other general type of this kind of novels, and I never liked only those type of dark, gritty worlds with anti-hero protagonists.

However there's a saying "Too much of any medicine,... more>> will become poison" and that's exactly what's here, there's just lightheartedness and nothing else at all, nothing ever stops MC treating entire world as his playground, nothing ever interrupts his happiness. The few villains that appear are nothing else than a joke, which MC squashes in less effort than one'd require to brush off a bug from one's elbow. How can that not be boring? In my opinion that only takes away all the value this lightheartedness would have.

Would it be that bad to make something that provides a slightest bit of tension, like someone kidnapping his girlfriend for a chapter or few, or someone finding a way to take away OP magic powers for a little bit? Even if everything will always end up happily in the end, that's totally fine, just give me something for f..'s sake.

Yet after this long I did not find anything of the sort, and I'm inclined to believe it won't be in further chapters. Therefore I rate this novel as sub-par Isekai. <<less

This novel is just fluff leave all common sense at the door don't think to deeply into it just go along for the ride.

The chapters are short and not so much of a story as more one shots about there life.

Yes the MC is a kid.

Yes his wife's are kids.

No the story does not make sense but I still think its a great novel if a little short

One brief look at the tags should tell you what to expect. This is essentially a fantasy/isekai version of a slice of life series. If you come here expecting conflict, drama, development, etc. You will be sorely, sorely disappointed.

That said. As a slice of life, it's quite heart-warming and a fun read that fulfills everything needed within the genre. The characters are cute, the protag is average, and the scenes range from bizarre to funny to sweetness beyond words. That's it.

I like to read this whenever I'm done hurting myself... more>> with darker reads on the website, and it does a good job of lifting my spirits. <<less

Real score should be 3.5. I give it a 4.0 because 3.0 would under-rate it. This story is a lighthearted, heartwarming read - more of a kid's adventure story set in fantasy, though sometimes briefly touching on slightly mature themes. If you want excitement or seriousness, you shouldn't read this.

In terms of food, this story would be the light, sweet snack you eat at tea-time. Don't eat this, then complain that it's not filling.

Based from what I've read the story is more or less like a playground.

A noble kid with 1, 000+ spells just walks around town purifying water, selling ice shaves and having a date with his loli wives.

I can somewhat accept the concept of him learning from a 'manga' grimoire but there is no tension at all. How can a noble kid just walks around town with his wife like nothing? He solves everything with "Oh, I've read something like this" and poof. DONE.

He's too OP but no one cares? No... more>> one plotting against him or anything like that. So basically it's a story of a boy playing around with magic. And cute fluffy lolis. <<less

Absurd and quite cringy frequently. Regardless, it is quite entertaining and cute at times. It’s generally a decent light hearted story with next to no plot, if you just want to relax then I’d recommend it.

The best way I can think to explain it is that it’s kind of like Death March (setting/harem), One Punch Man (totally gloss over beating otherwise boss level enemies), and a gag series like nichijou all mixed into one.

Story 3 /5, Characters 3/5, Enjoyment 5/5

While this novel isn't new or complex, it is light and fun. The story isn't rushing towards anything and doesn't have much suspense it's just a pleasant slice of life to sit back and read when you get burnt out on Young Masters and arrogant elders.

Miki Nazuna (author) is like the kid himself, all his story is bland, OP MC it's like his grade school imagination somehow turns into a book, I don't know who the idiot to accept something like this.

It's terrible. I was retorting after pretty much every paragraph I read because it severely lacked common sense. Is the author of a very young age or specifically wrote this for kids? I don't know.

Examples if you don't mind spoilers (though I feel like with this story, spoilers don't matter) : ... more>>
Spoiler

-Up to where I read, there was only a grandfather, but no parents of the reincarnated MC. He doesn't wonder where they are either and never asks.

-MC is 6 years old but wanders into forests and other towns alone. Without adult supervision or any mention of it.

-MC is 6 years old but manages to start a business selling purified water. Alone. With no help or adult agent to represent him. It's a monopoly so he amasses a fortune, fine. But nothing happens apart from him making money. There is no impact from a kid being the only one capable of providing clean water. Nothing.

-At 8 years old, MC moves out to live alone with his 2 wives. My head is starting to hurt.

[collapse]

The only good thing I can say about this is...... well, it's inoffensive?

Only read this if:

-you've gotten bored of hitting your head with a rubber mallet

-the only novel you've got left to read is isekai smartphone <<less

This is an odd-ish 'Gary Stu' (overpowered protagonist) Adventure. Only, without the 'Adventure'. It's pretty low-key, sometimes humorous, sometimes a bit heart-warmy.

The good:

Light, 'reliving childhood' slice-of-life if you like that sort of thing. There are mild complications solved easily with magic. Everyone has a good time except one guy. Seriously- just one guy gets the shaft and never learns from it. Well, there is a demon, but don't anticipate too much...

... more>> The bad:

Pretty pointless- but that is 'slice of life'.
Characters are pretty much caricatures.
Author never heard the expression 'With great power...' ('cause this guy has nothing to do.). The translation quality is just a bit 'iffy', though understandable.

The different:

Did I mention the MC gets married as a child? No? How he has a harem of wives? Well, they just hold hands and occasionally kiss innocently, so I suppose it's not supposed to be a big deal...

Though 'why?' is probably a better question- but 'whatever'... <<less

Well, it's your template isekai with MC being OP and don't have any hardship at all (at least until c16 where I pause reading). Easy power, no hardship, harem get ASAP, and everyday diary story with 2 wife at child stage.

I may sound subjective, but this maybe not for people who seek quality storyline, but for those who seek slow and fluffy story.

This is actually good as a simple story. It's not something I can recommend for those who wants more serious and wider plot stories. The MC is OP, and the novel is how they live his peaceful life with his wives (and ojisans). As I am exposed to different kind of stories, I found that the setting of this one is really too convenient to the MC.

(I sometimes disgusted because his harem was built without that much hardship, and he even became popular in the kingdom, but that's just... more>> because I'm comparing this to other novels with dark plots, or those where there are s*upid enemy otherworlders that just want to create their harem.)

Well at least this is a nice story when you don't have anything to read or wants a light read. <<less

Cheat, OP shota, loli harem but no ecchi, lighthearted, warm, slice-of-life. Though there's no real development so far for the MC...

Well the story is cute as all get there really wasn't a plot.

It mostly consisted of an op MC with playful loli wives who just asks him to use his godly ability to do random playful things.

But it's still really fun to read, there are fun characters as well as funny moments such as:

Spoiler

{So in this novel the beastkins are treated as pets} Their "pet" cat sees the mc's annoying brother as prey so she would catch him to tie him up, and then she would bring him to the MC for heac pats. P.s she's a Tsundere.

[collapse]

Not a big spoiler at all ---^

If you want to read something light hearted and sweet then this is your novel, but if you want one with a plot then I don't recommend this.

One of the few down sides of this novel is that there wasn't a proper ending. There were a lot of questions unanswered. Like the ending is like every other chapter...

Overall ~v

This is a mediocre novel. Mediocre MC, 2D characters at best and absolutely no plot. While it's supposed to be a slice of life, it truly felt like most chapters were just slices of their lives with no sustenance to stick them together.

Most of the novel is repetitive as it's always the MC using magic to entertain his wives over and over again. The magic thing could have been done better too, instead of one or two new magics a chapter it could have gone with 4 or 5, with... more>> combinations to keep us interested since he does know thousands of magics supposedly.

Even the warm and cutesy moments are lost, I found myself sighing internally because the MC would always say "i feel warm and cosy" It would be like someone saying "it's funny" every time a joke is said. If you want diabetes sweetness then read 'Raising children in another world', has cute moments, MC is also OP and the novel doesn't try to shove illegal lolis in your face like this one does. There's no character development, no world building, no plot, no drama and no logic really. Besides the translation the only redeeming quality this novel has is that the chapters are quite short so you can finish this novel in a day or so if you have absolutely nothing else to read.

Yeah it's mediocre, go read death march or something. <<less

At first it was an interesting casual slice of life where nothing major happens. (Even the demon king is defeated before lunch time offscreen). MC is crazy overpowered because he learns magic from reading spell books (manga) which others spend decades to learn.

There are a few iffy parts like having 2 child wives as a child but since it is mostly innocent and the like him while he mostly takes care of them as his children in a fluffy way, sure w\e. I'm sure when they grow older they will... more>> decide if they still feel the way they do and MC does not seem like the kind of person who wouldn't let them go if they chose.

Though it gets into real iffy territory when the queen of another country starts casually hitting on the MC which MC casually ignores, then ends up turning her into a child and marrying her for a s*upid reason. At least the first 2 had some reason despite it being a bit iffy at best, but this one was just too ridiculous.

Oh and the queen now also acts like a child for some weird reason due to the magic. So its effectively brainwashing...

Up to that part it became a bit unbearable to read... <<less

Okay, I was bamboozled by the tag. This ain't Adventure, there is a bit of adventure element but if you say that's enough for 'adventure' tag, then we must redo most of the novels' tag.

This is a full blown Slice of Life where problem is easily solved and fuwa-fuwa-Comedy mixed in. Read this if you're looking for that... If you want to read something that has similar experience like this but with more adventure, battle, etc, read Isekai Smartphone.

Note: Apparently the translation caught up with the raw and... more>> the author actually is writing another WN with the title "Leberu 1 dakedo yunikku skiru de saikyo desu" or translated something along the line "Level 1 but I'm the strongest by using unique skill" and , http://www. novelupdates. com/series/although-i-am-only-level-1-but-with-this-unique-skill-i-am-the-strongest/ last updated chapter 124 which released 19 July 2017

Note2: You might want to stay away from this author, too many unfinished novel, jumping around creating anothers without properly finishing previous one. <<less

You ever wanted to read a slice of life where nothing happens?

If that's what you're looking for here you go. Lots of stories that don't really connect together. You can't get more slice-of-life than this.

4/5 cause it does the thing it wanted to do well.

It isn't terrible, but if I have to say my biggest notion of a flaw would be that the MC is entirely unmotivated with no goals or motivations at all. The scenes like the snow scene are perfectly cute, but overall this doesn't do anything that other novels haven't done already.
