Story has a good premise but bulldoses through the plot so fast that nothing gets a chance to develop. Everything just happens suddenly.

MC is also childish. She is supposed to be an experienced top business figure but she acts like an impulsive middle schooler. There is no strategy, introspection, or even much sense. She doesn't deliberate or think to deeply on anything. As soon as a thought crosses her mine she goes for it! No stopping to consider pros and cons. This is also supposed to be a historical setting in ancient china. Her brazen actions should get her flogged and shamed in this kind of setting. Even in a modern setting it would be rude and offputting but its portrayed as bold and confident.

Author is also to lazy to research historical trade. Just has the MC sell modern inspired services that probably would not be received well by an ancient populace. Just overall lazy writing.

Story is fine if you just want a light guilty pleasure that you can shut your brain off for. But its definitely nothing amazing. Once again, I like the idea just wish someone else wrote it. <<less

The novel's plot is indeed not well developed and too rushed! Both the ML and FL are childish and selfish. ML is indeed a good person when interacting with others but not his wife.

All in all this novel is good for passing time, nothing to exciting or out of the norm from other novels except for most of the OTT actions in this novel are the FL's doing.

On their wedding night he wasted no time in telling her that he basically doesn't give a flying f*** about her and that he only married her for money, and he doesn't treat her well in front of his family either (when the female cousin first arrived and was having a meal which nobody bothered to invite her to). He literally through her aside to attend to the cousin when she first arrived. Now, I'm not trying to defend her OTT actions but what was she supposed to do? You said she doesn't care about his sentiments but what about her sentiments? He let his family discuss him marrying another person to HER FACE. Like she wasn't even there. Where was RESPECT for her when she's the one making money to support them?! That family loves her? Does she even need to care for his face in public? How would you say her face looks to the public? Honestly, a person who treats his wife that way, do they even have a face in public? What would you think of a person like that? If this husband was the husband of someone you care about, would you still feel this way? You need to this, this is life, it's full of an array of colors, not just black and white.

Have you tried interacting with people who made it clear to your face that they don't like you on the first meeting and treat you as a fool in front of others? He treats the other females gently in front of her! They are husband and wife for gods sake but he can't even keep up front of respecting her in front of others especially as she started liking him. Her feelings are of course hurt which is normal. Who wouldn't be? Were you expecting a SAINT? She was a CEO in her previous life for heaven's sake! Have you read other novels with CEOs in them, which one doesn't have a CEO that behaves unreasonably because of feelings at least once, and has trouble expressing them. It's just this time it's the female performing these actions. Also, she's a woman from the 21ist century, being someone from this time can you honestly say you wouldn't make sure you significant other at least cares for you a little bit? Being a person in general don't you need to feel a bit of assurance. At least some words or actions that shows the other person cares for you? A relationship is not a one man show. LOL

Also, this is a novel and I'm going to assume this isn't the first C novel you've read. All the characters' actions are OTT and barely acceptable half the time at least. If they weren't, it probably won't be interesting. I can't tell you how many novels I've read where I haven't thought "If this was real life, I wouldn't be able to forgive him/her for this action". Don't read it if you can't take it. I'm not saying there isn't any novels where characters are basically irredeemable, but really the characters in this novel are truly the run of the mill variety. <<less

The female lead is too childish & acts recklessly, she's supposed to be a badass business woman but most of the time I find her actions too ridiculous!

She's too selfish & self-centred without giving a care for her husband's sentiments and the family who loves her, she's always thinking I want this and that.

Just because she wants to hear her husband's confession for that she goes to another man's bed willingly and even makes her husband who had come for her, wear a green cap Infront of the whole crowd,... more>> trampling all over his dignity! Deliberately making your husband jealous & having fun is one thing but humiliating your supposed-loved one Infront of everyone is something hard for me to digest. <<less
