It's suspenseful, gut wrenching, heartbreaking, mysterious, lighthearted, funny, satisfying, and relatable all at the same time. 10/10 recommend. A unique Yuri transmigration with 3D characters and the darkest secrets that even you would have to rediscover along with the protagonist. In the beginning, I was just living on the MC's unique and relatable personality while seeing her develop her relationship. Then, when new characters are introduced, the truth and forgotten memories start to come in. Some memories, details, and characters that you've seen before would play a big role in... more>> the future— especially the places MC visited, the mysterious people, and the lore of the world.

To be honest, when reading the synopsis, I thought it was going to be another more generic novel. The actual contents surprised me. Why is the synopsis so lighthearted and makes the story seem predictable?

I'm going to finish this by tomorrow, even though I hate reading novels over 100 chapters long. And I hate writing long, thoughtful reviews. Only novels that actually make me feel certain emotions enjoy this treatment. Even other novels that I like to read doesn't fit this requirement because while they are good, they aren't godly. Maybe I ignored the flaws while binging because of adrenaline, but this also proves how engaging this novel is. The romance... is slow burn I guess, but the love interests have been in love with MC ever since they met her. Or... even before the story you read actually begins. I like how the author executed this story. You may think you know everything but you don't and just when you found out something, you realize it wasn't the full picture.

I also want to add: Harem!? Yuri Harem?! While reading, this crossed my mind but didn't really feel like it was actually going to happen since the girls... can't accept sharing? [THEY'RE (almost all) YANDERES!] There's a lot of character development so maybe they'll change. <<less

I tried mtl-ing it but it melted my brain so I don't know the ending (thus the 4 star rating), but I'm very happy to see this being actively updated so I can reread.

That being said you'd have to be the biggest masochist (which I am) to want to reread this again because it's so painfully beautiful.

I both hate and love harems like this because each character is so well written and comes alive in the text. This serves to humanize them and that means they don't just line up... more>> and say "We can share" to the MC.

The harem members fight each other for the protagonist's love, but you know in the end she can only choose one. But it hurts deeply when the protagonist really does choose one and hurt all the other characters. You know the girls, you know their painful stories, and you want the best for them. You wish they could all just be together and live happily ever after like most harem novels but that's not realistic and people are selfish in nature.

I also love the relationship between the MC and the male protag since it's not like those ones where "male protag is sh*t and doesn't deserve love". The male protag is given a REAL good personality that vibes well with the MC. It's a real deep friendship

and it hurts seeing them fight, even after all they've been through because that's how the 'story' needs to go.

Lastly, the MC's life just hurts. Someone said the synopsis was misleading and boi were they right. I thought this would be like The Harem Rescue Project so I felt good coming in, but it got way, waaay darker.

I'm thankful to translator for picking this up and sharing to everyone this beautiful mess of emotions. I hope I can read this fully and hurt myself again. <<less

Well, this story left a really good impression to me. The story is well-made, well-executed, author actually thinks about the whole premise and the twists in the story makes me yearn for more.

I love how each of her harem isn't just blindly falling in love her. When you actually read this, you'll know that all of their relationship to MC goes a looong way back. I cannot even be mad at any of them, regardless their actions or how they express their love for MC because the author makes you... more>> empathize with them.

I also like how ML is a good person and not the usual scumbag man in transmigration stories.

p.s. There is only a one true female lead, so for people hoping for a pe*verted MC who plays around with the other girls, this one's not for you. <<less

This novel is seriously so ggod and complete in all aspects. I was expecting typical harem silly nonsense and got such a rich well thoughtout story full of rich 3D characters filled with flaws and virtues. At some point I even shed tears it's so good! Do ya'll a favor and read this, you won't be able to put it down ❤

This novel is a masterpiece. There are so many layers to the characters and their stories go far way back. The author did such a good job writing. I will remember this novel for a long time.

This story is absolutely amazing. At first, I thought it was going to be a novel where the protagonist would be simply bullied or I would be tricked and the close friendship she had with the male protagonist would turn into love, but the story ending amazingly. The twists were well foreshadowing with some details hidden, so when they were revealed, I was able to confirm some of my suspicions. The characters are so well written that even though I read up to Chapter 160 and stopped reading it many... more>> months ago, I was able to remember what happened.

In the middle of the story, you find yourself wishing and hoping that the harem would resolve itself with the main character getting with everyone as a previous reviewer had said, so when they don’t, you can’t help but shed tears.

This novel really understood the human condition of conflicting desires and the inability of getting what one wants even if you want it so badly. <<less

She did lots of cool stuff until the eventual choice made by the ML that plunges her deep into getting locked up for being a puppet master.

Demon Sect Master. Caused MC to lose all reputation and kin ones such as exposing her identity as a puppet master and the original body's identity as the demon sect's young altar master (responsible for the massacre of ML's family).

The last god in the world - God of Fortune and Calamity. She descended after hearing prayers from a believer after being forgotten. She doesn't understand humans, much less the MC, and watched her go down the self-destructive path despite having the power to help her. Too possessive and eventually lost.

Ye Ze ('Male Lead')

Family was massacre by the demon sect. Became good bros after a fight during Xia Ge's beggar days. Became the inner court disciple of Lingxi's Sect. He has too much pride and lost control when it comes to the topic of his family. 'Bullied' to become her meal prep boy and always covering for her antics.

The author's amazing in this part - felt the sense of betrayal and a cold knife stabbing to the back. The relationship is broken beyond repair when he did the turning point.

Messy start and weak ending. As stated in their notes, I could see the author putting effort to cover plot holes with excessive memory chapters towards the end, breaking the immersion in the events of the current life.

The title is a bit misleading as some of the harem members might not be in the original ML's. He ended up being forgotten mostly like a side character after the turning point.

Lol in the end, all either went back to take care of the clan, ascend to godhood or accompany FL.

Can definitely feel the angst and upcoming trials and suffer Xia Ge would have to face. Seriously not fond of her being thrown around like a ball in the middle to late stage of the novel. Suffocating and very helpless as compared to living life unfettered and free in the beginning.

The pacing of the novel for both lives could be better as it felt like we're also paying for the consequences of actions taken. Reading other reviews before starting and can know which one is the obvious choice out of 4 when all are introduced.

I follow this for a long time.

The MC gives the whole novel a very funny and leisure note making it a light read, yet there are deeper waters kept from the readers that draw the wish for light heartness to take up on the seriousness that it deserves.

It is laced with up and downs, with characters that are slowly fleshed out and a really well writen translation, much kudos for the lovely translator.

Thank you very much for the hard work.

A novel with many twists and turns, there are several weaknesses in the story mostly to do with the power system being all over the place and many plots running in parallel but overall it's a decent tear-jerker novel. The novel at first from the blurb and couple of chapters might read as a harem-ish novel but it's clear that this is indeed a cultivation world and it is cruel, the love interests are all cruel as well. The MC's golden finger is strong but she still suffers a lot... more>> you truly can see how strong she is emotionally with how much she has had to go through.

Overall I did like the novel, I was a bit sad at the ending of it but in a way it was expected. <<less

It might be an interesting or even fun story, and the characters are well enough written, but the pacing is way too bad. You can not go 90 chapters into the story, and hardly any of the mysteries are solved, and none of the true identities of any of the characters have been revealed?

I read MTL up to chapter 100.

In chapter 80, MC dropped a jade pendant during a fight so that her protagonist friend will pick it up, supposedly achieving three birds with one stone effect. But I cannot understand her logics at all. 1) I think it is far safer and easier to just give it to him as a gift (first bird) and she can then hit the other two goals (birds) any time she likes. 2) she did not need to participate in that fight at all which is... more>> clearly above her pay grade. She could have just tipped off varying amount of information anonymously or openly. 3) I don't know why MC participate in the fight and then s*upidly want to run away instead of just pointing them out that she just helped (which she did).

MC is hard to understand. She talked with others about terms like protagonist which should be avoided, meaning she is not tight lipped. On the other hand, she lied almost all the time (as a funny plot I assume) which should also be avoided in a realistic story (but still okay). What is mind boggling is she keep important information to herself from friendly FLs (important because it could make her and other's lives easier without changing plot) and tried to do everything herself with her poor power.

Maybe I missed something coz' I am reading in MTL. Anyway, I hope MC will be more realistic and know how to think realistically for her safety and convenience.

Edit: it got really annoying to read MC talking nonsense and cheap lies after some dozen chapters. <<less

The premise of the story is good but I'm getting really annoyed with the MC. They keep on lying when there's no reason to lie or at least the author has given a good enough explanation to lie, they don't really do anything to try and make money on their own except being a Danfemg disciple but even then they don't work hard to be a good disciple. If someone could explain to me the MC's good traits that would be great because the FL's to me would be just... more>> as blind if they fell for the MC as they would if they fell for the ML <<less

Chu Yao - some fiery, hot tempered lady who hates her current predicament, she apparently has to shoulder on all of the responsibilities of her prestigious Chu family because of her eye-color

Chu Yi - sister of Chu Yao, seems to want what her sister has because of jealousy? targets MC probably because of the same reason

Ah Tang/Su Chan - Leader of the Thousand Souls Demonic clan? Mysterious background and got involved with the MC while looking for a powerful puppet tool in some ancient tomb

Not sure if I'm missing any others though....
