Sixteen-year-old Luo Bing makes a playful prayer and ends up crossing time and space to land on Kansas Planet, right when Kansas Planet is experiencing the end of the world.

Clueless about this alien world, Luo Bing is terrified. Fortunately, Noah City gives her sanctuary and she eventually gets a chance to explore this new world.

The end of the world is marked by extreme scarcity. Ubiquitous radiation has heavily limited the food, water and resources, and danger lies at every turn. As a result of this extreme environment, some humans have evolved and developed superpowers, while others have turned into monsters and even spirits. Humans who naturally possess an anti-radiation constitution are called radiationers. Most of the radiationers have unique superpowers, and they are referred to as metahumans.

With no clue on how to return to her own world, Luo Bing is stuck here and must survive against all odds. Armed with the combat skills she has learned from her dad and her newly developed superpowers, as well as help from the guys she has developed feelings for, can Luo Bing save this strange new world?

The story is alright. I'm MTL'ing it so I might have missed so details. While the story has good ideas, for some reason I find the main character irritating. She's just like all other tom boy, rash main characters. She gets violent and doesn't worry about the consequences which really don't affect her because of her heroine halo. When if it was anyone else, they would either die or hurt others because of their actions.

The author tries to make her seem tough as a result of having been trained by... more>> her retired special ops father but she seems really childish and doesn't know how to follow orders. When it has been mentioned numerous times how she should as she was trained to throughout the chapters. This fact only seems to be for other females. She is kinda sexist, generalizing all males as hormonal, weak (in the city she's living in currently all females are shown as stronger/ have men chasing after them) except for males who are feminine in looks and attitude. She is also self-righteous which can get irritating but she does adapt to the new world fairly well. But her attitude can kinda want to make you scream at her as she tries to apply her values to a post apocalyptic world. Instead of making her appear understanding and intelligent, Luo Bing is ignorant and thoughtless.

I hope that as I read on her character will develop better as the story is interesting and has potential. And that the Luo Bing would not be so dense that you could hit her with a brick and she still wouldn't know what romance is. Cause that cliche is so over and done with. Especially with how the author mentions how smart and observant she is. Having a EQ that low is not attractive or really realistic with how many stories make it out to be. As how the hell have they lived being so dense? In a cave?

Update chapter 140

It seems by now that Luo Bing's character has developed and her EQ isn't low. At least when it comes to observing other people's relationships. Not sure about her own in the future. She is a bit arrogant though. Also, I wonder whether she'll face any setbacks because she is kinda OP and with that fact it's boring to read knowing that she'll always win. This makes it kinda hard to completely support her as there would be little tension in the story and not a lot of space for growth. The author tries to make it seem like Luo Bing has faced a lot but hasn't everyone one in apocalyptic world? It's hard to sympathize with her when it is always made with her being right and that when she is in the wrong a simple sorry fixes everything. When other people are in the wrong, it makes it seem like they did something horrible and that they should plead for forgiveness or put down their pride. It isn't directly stated but implied in the way the story is written.

Even if Luo Bing succeeds in her endeavors, she should still be punished or reprimanded not praised like everything she did is right. What if she failed? She is not omnipotent. She doesn't take into account everyone else's worries not does she listen to people who know the situation better than her. It's like she thinks nothing can go wrong and that she is invisible. It's really frustrating. It seems that it's okay for her to be reckless but once someone else does it to save her it's wrong and selfish of them. She's hypocritical. Also, when she's about to be punished she brings out a miracle so yeah no punishment for her but the person next to still gets punished. So how is she supposed to learn? <<less

It's a great story with great characters and nice plot, a reverse Harem that is build up like a somewhat realistic relationship between people, where not everyone likes the other at the beginning, but they will learn to accept each other and actual friendships between Girls/Males.

Our female protagonist is really heavily grounded on her common sense and morals coming from Earth, totally going against the people she is surrounded with as they live in an apocalyptic world, it can be annoying thought when it comes to her own relationship to... more>> her love interests, but that makes her as a person with personality and character growth as she comes to accept views she previously never would habe accepted *cough* polygamy, while still being herself...

Her Love Interests are among the best male leads I habe seen, they have character, along with their own goals, that they will try to fulfill, even if it's just the simple wish of getting a wife, in a world with more males than females, to... well no spoilers~

It's one of the best reverse Harem stories I have read, despite me sometimes wanting to chuck our Protagonist into the tr*sh can in the beginning, but really the male leads are the ones that have kept me reading it...
Spoiler

Also some of the Mls are people you cannot help but hate/feel annoyed by at the beginning, but things will change during the story.

[collapse]

Best Boy for me Harry, don't like it?

Spoiler

He will grow, in a really tragic way, he protects her unknowns to her and it really touched me, also I cried for him, so emotional plus. But everyone else is also great in their own ways...

[collapse]

The Ending

Spoiler

I want more, it has a really great ending, traveling to earth and taking her family to her new Home. Also it's the beginning of a new story with her niece, that I love to see happening.

It satisfies me to see the end leaving me with a good taste after reading and you want to see more, as it does shows part of their future, it also made me want to reread it a couple times, which I did and no regrets here~

This story is really great! A pure gem is hidden in the mud.

I am not really fond of polygamy or polyandry type of novel, however, there's an exemption. As long as the story was well written and the MC is not lascivious (Although this is polyandry this is one of a few novels that didn't make me feel disgusted and nauseous), I will read it. This novel is only a few of the reverse harems that get my big thumbs up.

The MC may have shortcomings on her own, but she... more>> is not like those hopeless naive female protagonists because she will make up for whatever shortcoming she had and this is what I like. She didn't lose her morals and her strong determination to survive in the world. It's really great to see how she started from being an ordinary sixteen years old junior high school girl to step by step becoming a great leader.

The author is also amazing in how she wrote this story, each character here is great! There's no green tea b*tch, white lotus, and brain-dead vicious female character where they only know to scheme people. Although there is some love rival, they are not that bad, their IQ was not degraded like in most Chinese novel, they know when to give up and move on.

The friendship built up pretty realistic and very touching, and at the same time sad for those girls because the scarcity of women in their world led them hard to fulfill their dreams. I feel depressed when I see some of them didn't get their dream come true, but anyway I am now glad that after the war they will get they would be able to fulfill their dreams. Romance here is also good, each men have their own character and the romance is not force. It is hard to find this kind of novel where the relationship between MC and her men were well written by the author. All in all, It is very satisfying story!

Guys, I recommend this story, the story is really great! Please do not judge this book by just reading some negative comment. The author here gave each of the character growth and, for me, they are not 2d like you usually read. And lastly, I would also like to say thank you for the author for writing this wonderful story and the translator who share this story! <<less

In the course of reading this novel I have come to love her.
I love all the characters in this novel, although some have
flaws or seem somewhat annoying, I think they portray how
people really are behaving in a society and more in a world
that is on the verge of collapse. ☺??

Please never drop this novel. my heart will suffer a lot of
pain if it happens... ?

EDIT: This novel might have been translated before or you may have read MTL, however, the current translations are amazing on wuxiaworld.

I am utterly devastated from the bad reviews on newer novels on wuxiaworld like this one.
Necropolis Immortal, Netherworld Investigator, Love code at the end of the world. All these novels are in no way worse than any other novel I read, in-fact, these novels including many others are my go-to after stacking a 100 chapter of them (at least, since the word-count of a chapter is around 1250... more>> words).

This novel is about a teenage girl (16 y/o) who originates from China with a happy family, her father is a military-man that trained his daughter "Luo Bing" self-defence so that she would be able to help herself at any moment, however, one day when they were on a trip on the mountains, she suddenly crossed space-time into another planet that I like to call, a planet forsaken by the gods (Lord of the mysteries reference, suggest you read it, the best novel I read in my 7 years of reading novels). The planet goes by Kansas, it was once a flourishing planet with an advanced civilization, however, the world is at its end, radiations are all over the world, food is scarce, people die all the time, thus a certain number of humans evolved and are called "Radiationers", these radiationers have something similar to a superpower, it could be enlarging one's body, it could be supersonic speed, it could be flight, etc.

The journey is about Luo Bing trying to get back to her world, people might say it is filled with romance, however, I disagree, this novel is in no way romance-oriented, however, it isn't action-filled either. You would have to pass the first book (volume) which is about 100 chapters to find some action, it took 100 chapters to build the world and get a better understanding, those chapters are small so you wouldn't feel them.

There is definitely romance, however as I said it is not romance-oriented.

Regarding why you should read this novel:

— The sense of mystery in this novel is nice, it isn't as huge as Lord of the mysteries, however, you would want to know what happens next or how does this happen or how will that happen, etc.
— It gives you a wholesome feeling, a feeling that you get when you read novels that aren't full of action and tension, for example, when you get tired of reading Second coming of Gluttony, you read this novel.
— You would want to know the ending, that's how immersed you would be.

Why you might not like this novel:

— It is female-lead.
— I don't find a lot of action in this novel (I am at chapter 210 and there were 5 instances that had action in them, or maybe more but I forgot, and by "instance" I don't mean a chapter, no, I mean an N amount of chapters that contain the action part, however, I still find them too little since I am used to reading novels that are only ACTION-oriented)
— It is very slow, Luo Bing's power wasn't mentioned until chapter 50 or 60+, after 210 chapters, she still didn't learn how to control it.

That's it, sorry for taking too long, however, my suggestion to you fellow reader is to not drop this novel after 10 chapters, just continue reading to 50, if you don't like it by then, then drop it.
If you do like it, then please come and rate it so that others would be aware of such a good hidden gem. <<less

I kinda understand as to how MC would define her s*xual orientation.
Spoiler

MC grew up in a family of 3, where there is a artistic mother and military father. In their school girls are only allowed to braid their hair if long or have a short hair, their uniforms for what I understand is unisex.

[collapse]

MC has a natural kind personality because she grew up in a peaceful world without any experience of war. Even if she was trained by her father, it could not be denied that MC is a girl and has a natural gentleness (even if she always punches my fav ML). The MLs are:

Spoiler

1. Raffles. His superpower is having two brains like a dolphin. He is super shy and has a girly look, but he was encouraged by my fav ML to confess to MC making them to be together.

2. Harry. His superpower is confusing at first I thought it's regeneration but then became strength; viewed as a multi powered individual. He start of as a super playboy calling anyone his wife. But when he argued with MC, he became timid to confess his feelings. Even thinking ways just so that MC would not leave them. His desire to be with MC is so touching.
3. Ah Zong. His superpower is to Transform into a Female. Though that MC is a guy thereby chasing him to capture and have FUN. Second meeting realize the truth, deemed her as a Goddess.

4. Xing Chuan. His superpower is to transform anything he touches. He is a so obsessed character, even placing a bounty on MC just so he could have him (he thought that MC is a guy). I kinda hate him at the early parts but when he told MC his story I became soft hearted. He is a confusing character that I hate and love.

5. He Lei. His superpower is supersonic most likely similar to teleportation because of the speed. Commander of a Revolutionary Army.

6. Jun. Spirit Prince and Artist.

7. Zong Ben. Spirit and Nude Painter. Wanted to paint an explicit painting of Jun and MC.

8. Lucifer. Child of a Transformed Human. MC saw his growth with Xing Chuan.

[collapse]

This also has multiple arcs:

Spoiler

- Noah City Arc

- Blue Shield City Arc

- Silver Moon City Arc

- Hagrid Island Arc

- Ghost Eclipers Arc

- Finale Arc

[collapse]

Summary: Story full of Deceit.

✔️ Character Growth of every characters.

An enjoyable story that has some surprisingly addictive plot, worldbuilding, and character development on top of the romance. Many stories that use a relationship theme as a central hook, like the harem aspect, tend to either go too deep or too shallow in the relationship aspects, so you get a story that's consumed wholesale by drawn-out couple drama based on misunderstandings and poor communication, or a story with superficially attractive cardboard love interests who fawn over the MC like Gary Oak's cheerleading squad. This story balances in a good in-between... more>> point, and will satisfy a reader who likes the post-apocalypse superpowers setting, and a reader who likes the romance.

This translation is good, and as someone who has read a lot in this genre, the things in this story that stick out to me and take it, not only above the mediocre line, and way above average, is the following:

1. Character voice. Luo Bing isn't the typical, bland power-tripping Self Insert MC, she has a defined personality, with strong values and a sense of humor. The translation is so smooth and well-edited, and the narration gives enough moments to the MC's thought process that the POV feels genuine and realistic for how a teenage girl thinks and acts. Female-led romance stories have a tendency of generic protagonists (the Bella Swan Effect) with innocent shrinking violet, saccharine sweet white lotus leads, but Luo Bing is refreshing for having some edge and snarkiness to her. She hits back, she stands up for herself when she needs to, and understands the value of teamwork and cooperation instead of going full ONE WOMAN ZERO MERCY LONE WOLF ARMY.

2. Character development. Something that makes a character feel boring and one-dimensional (AKA, cardboard) is that they stay static from beginning to end. In this story, characters have lives and motivations outside of revolving around the MC, a common issue with romance stories. I like that all of the guys have individual goals outside of pursuing Luo Bing, and the story shows them doing stuff off-screen instead of being stuffed into the fridge in between each appearance. Nothing is less believable or more annoying as a love interest character who mopes around because Senpai won't pay attention to them. (Eg, Pink Baby whose backstory reveal shows that he's more than just a fanboy rando.)

3. Harry. He's kind of a love-it-or-hate-it character, but I can't recall many stories that took me on such a compelling rollercoaster journey like this one did. Harry may be annoying, but he's extremely memorable, and I loved how I changed my mind about him from how he was introduced in the beginning. It shows believable growth and maturity, and all of it was earned. Maybe I've read too many bad novels, so a character who actually learns from his mistakes and strives to improve is a rarity to me. So is a male love interest who isn't some ice-cold wooden block with no personality traits.

Great story, had a blast reading it, can't wait to read what happens next. Don't sleep on it!! <<less

This novel can be separated into two parts, pre-Hagrid Island and post-Hagrid Island.

Pre: 3 star novel. Somewhat cliche but characters work in their clichés and do have growth. Frustrating at many points but interesting enough to get you invested to pull through. A lot of drama here and there and an uncomfortable amount of sexism, heteronormitive bs and dashes of s*x worker shaming. The amount of unnecessary thoughts of how man want to be manly and how girls on earth are so catty or some weird b's like that really... more>> drags some parts down.

Post/hagrid island arc: if you make it here the rest of the normal is solid enough. Five stars. Loads of character growth for MC and much less frustrating decisions. Interactions are much more fun and a lot more bad ass moments. The weird sexist/het bs minimises remarkably and can be overlooked for the most part. However, takes a long while to get here and not surprised if many people drop before this arc. Can be messy at parts but overall a good read from here on out.

MC: very very much a teenage tomboy. Reactions initially are very normal and has clearly a high amount of empathy. Takes very long to adjust which can be frustrating but I reckon it's pretty true to her age. Is her own character with morals and bottom line and is not too holy mother although, like many protags, has the intense power of kindness to change the world or whatever. I do like her though.

Harry: oh boy oh boy so many people hate him and many reviews mention him for a reason. Initially he's annoying but within understandable limits. He's a pull the pigtails of the girl he likes kinda brat but I never hated him. Has some of the best character growths of the MLs (it's a reverse harem) and is one of the best characters by the end. Really loves MC and tries his best, has fun dynamics with MC too when they're less angsty.

Other MLs

Spoiler

raffles: very good boy in general, personally I find him one of the more boring MLs because the story just tends to brush past him. Even his own arc was pretty mild compared to the others. Is technically an important character but a mild boy all around. Only spiced up by his split personality.

A zong: my fav!!! MC and him have a problematic start but he gets better and really really loves her. Never pushes his love on her and is willing to just be a friend. Besides raffles, the only one who respected her boundaries once he fell in love and before they got together. Has a complex regarding females cos he thinks he's dirty and unworthy but is never too draggy about it. I cheered when he officially joined the harem lol. Helps MC loads and even helps manage her harem by sorta mediating here and there. Very good boy.

Xing Chuan: oh boy. The Problematic. No fave cos he's a hot mess. Has the most push pull with MC and really f*cks so much up. Is very f*cked up but doesn't excuse his actions. Has tried on multiple occasions to force the MC and fluctuates wildly from being an interesting maybe decent person to an as*hole with zero self control. An all consuming possessive love. He gets a lot worse before he gets better. Kinda surprised they managed to get together but by then he went through a lot and MC matured enough. Their relationship really went through the five stages of grief before MC finally accepted him. Is still a bit a bastard at the end but a bastard who listens to his wife at least.

He lei: man he had so much potential but it was so wasted. MC seems to have had a crush on him early on but loads of twists and time eventually cooled her feelings for him. I liked him the most early on but post HI he's kinda boring. Pretty typical domineering macho type and also didn't respect MC boundaries. She does call him out but he kind of never properly graduated to main harem, left open ended but they probably got together?

Lucifer: hmmmmmm. Very mixed feelings for one of the side MLs being someone MC considers her child. Fun character who's non romantic for most of the novel until later on. Side ML at most but I do like his character.

Jun & zong Ben: actually I do really like the dynamic of MC with the duo and they're interesting in that while they love MC they just travel the world and MC is their home base. Didn't expect them to be side MLs, more or less implied but good side characters. Sadly they don't get too much spotlight but I enjoy their scenes.

[collapse]

Tl;dr : a good second half if you can get through the tiring initial like five books. Not great that it takes five books to be good so not five stars but the initial books are not really a slog as much as just annoying. <<less

This is one of the best reverse harem-apocalyptic series I have ever read in fact IMO it beats all apocalyptic novels I've ever seen and read.

a lot of people in the comments are claiming that there are plot holes and a lot of things don't make sense, well actually that's all bullsh*t because I promise every single thing is explained well! that stuff is basically revealed a lot later in the book and I assure you you won't be disappointed!

This is a story about the growth of a young 16... more>> y/o girl from being a carefree teenager to experiencing a journey full of love, hate, adventure, power, loss, redemption, freedom and a new beginning. The story at the beginning is slow-paced and covers a small area only and is just to lay a firm foundation for all the craziness to come.

one important thing as well as unique is that in this apocalyptic world there are no enemies such as zombies or large/poisonous mutated animals and plants but the enemies are only humans. so you don't see the usual battle groups or mercenary like people. there are only 3 major bases and apart from a team to fight/guard and collect resources everyone else is very sheltered. (this is just to address one or two comments about the people in Noah base-people who took her in)

IMO the whole novel actually has 5 arcs

-Noah city (this one is actually plainer and mostly about her making friends and helping these people plus the love-hate relationship between harry and the fl, you might dislike him but trust me you'll love him and cry for him)

-Silver moon city I (this is the beginning of her legend as well as where she goes thru ups and downs, this is intense for conspiracies are made known and more clear)

-ghost eclipses (the first step to changing everyone's fate and lighting up their path)

-New beginning... self-explanatory

-Silver moon II (the finale where truly all evils are eradicated, reunions are celebrated and everyone works for a better future)

I assure you everything is connected and all questions will be answered. this novel is truly about growth and understanding. she isn't omnipotent but along with her companions, she's a force to be reckoned with.

her emotional entanglements are also fun to read and I love their growth in the MLS characters

read its worth it! <<less

Still a few chapters in but the starting point is very promising. This novel show a very good start and I hope that it will carry through the rest of the story. It's a very fresh point of view with a very mentally strong female that is not overbearing nor over powered.

Hoping for more chapters???

There are people who ask why this is so highly recommended. The reason is the plot, the character growth, and the romance the starts to show later on in.

Firstly, I’ll address the characters and their personalities. I would like to say every single one of them grows. You may hate them intensely in the beginning and think they are hot garbage! However, as the story goes on, they grow! They change and you find the one you hated (cough* Harry *cough) gets so much better to the point you love... more>> them.
There are no characters who are completely flat in this story which makes it that much better. Every character grows and matures in their own ways throughout the story.

Secondly, I’ll address the plot. Yes, the beginning feels like it is going nowhere but just wait. Hagrid Island comes in and you realize how much was going on as the story progressed. So, plot? It’s definitely got a great one!

Thirdly, the romance. It is a slow romance people! Don’t expect to see hearts in the first hundred chapters. Plot and character growth come first and romance naturally begins to bloom over time. Like in real life, adversity and hardship make the relationships all the more rewarding as they grow!

Finally, the world building. It is phenomenal. You get different factions and get to know them. You find out hidden secrets. The world is incredibly unique in its mix of science fiction, some more fantastical elements, and apocalyptic background. It blends seamlessly with the plot.

Overall, I give this a 5 star rating and can hardly wait for more from the amazing translation team that has worked hard to be consistent and wonderful updates! <<less

I cannot understand why this series is overwhelmingly recommended. Have the people who made these reviews even tried to read the book? It's as if we are talking about entirely different stories. The time of this review is in the middle of Book 2, and I've read over 100 chapters. I've decided to drop this story because it is simply not interesting, rather, it makes me uncomfortable while reading. There are plot holes everywhere, characters do things that are out of character, main love interests are egotistical brats. The only... more>> good thing is the translation quality, but that does not in any way make up for the horrible storytelling. This is why you should NOT read LCED (Love Code at the End of the World).

Plot (1/10) : The plot is honestly, horrible. The main character is the daughter of a former Special Forces soldier and apparently he trains her in combat. She gets transmigrated to a futuristic planet that has been ruined by radiation, and gets captured by a cannibalistic group of humans that capture her. Sounds interesting right? WRONG. The way the author tells the story is godawful. The plot meanders and there are holes everywhere. For example:

Spoiler

There is a forbidden zone where radiation is so intense that even robots that are sent there mysteriously disappear, with no data being sent back. MC, who conveniently is immune to all radiation, is sent there for a mission. But how does she get to this forbidden city? A robot. She gets pushed off a spacecraft and lands in a valley along with a mutated human called Second Sister. The reason why her escape pod crashed is because it went through Second Sister's flock. Strangely, the flock never finds Second Sister, who is the wife of the King of the flock, until months later, when she just happens to almost die from a miscarriage (yeah, she's pregnant).

[collapse]

Nothing makes sense in this story. The plotline does not flow well.
Spoiler

One second, she is suspected of being a spy with nefarious intentions, the very next chapter, she is a core member of the most important scout group and entrusted with a vital mission that concerns the life or death of a newborn infant. The leaders of the city do not suspect her at all, which makes no sense, since it is a story in the apocalypse where people naturally should suspect one another. One second, MC is being entranced by a guy who saves her, the next chapter, the guy thinks she's a spy and throws her off his spacecraft.

[collapse]

World Building (8/10) : This is the only good part about the story, other than the translation quality of course. The world is slightly interesting. There are not many stories that have a detailed grasp of the environment such as this one. It's a post-apocalyptic world where there's radiation everywhere and metahumans with superpowers. Enough said.

Characters (1/10) : Characters in this story are godawful. Main character has below average IQ and cannot think for shit. Her super power is quite obvious, and anyone with two brain cells can realize that she
Spoiler

absorbs energy, and then releases it from the first time it appears

[collapse]
. She has zero sense of danger and goes romping off in danger zones that no one else has gone into before. They specifically tell her "Not even robots have come back from this area." What does she do? She goes and leisurely opens fruit containers, feasting on random packs of meat, dragonfruit, chocolate, and even goes to pick out a nice set of clothes in an abandoned mall. She does not worry about radiation in the food or enemies at all. There's a "love interest" who always calls every woman he sees his wifey. It's honestly annoying AF and he's probably amongst the worst male leads I've ever read about. Even the MC finds him annoying as shit. He's a captain of the scout group though, but what does he do on an actual mission? Absolutely nothing. He sits on his ass and watches the MC do everything, and when she comes back, he suddenly hugs her out of nowhere. She likes it, even though last chapter she was hating his ridiculous antics. There are zero characters who have any depth to them, and I cannot sense any semblance of emotions, motivations, or romance from any of them, including the main character.

Translation Quality (10/10) : No issues here.

one of the best reverse harem novel, great pacing (not too fast) and a lot of realistic conflict. Its a bit of a slow burn which might turn some people off, but it worth it for me

the first 500 chapter, before hagrid island arc is quite annoying. Luo bing has yet to grow up and has a lot of irritating tendency.

but after 500 chapter, she showed a pretty good character development. Something rare in novels. Which is why I rate this as one of the best.

this novel is pretty basic, has a little to much sexism and lowkey h*mophobia

Spoiler

Harry sucks as person, everytime I read about him I wanna kill him 🙂🔪

I liked the idea and the MC seems pretty ok but honestly you could do so much more with the story but its just destroying itself kinda 😐

this book's plot felt like one of the arc of "There Will Always Be Protagonists With Delusions of Starting a Harem".i mean everything that happened in the book is to introduce new harem member.

So y everyone is raving abt this idk. I only started reading bcz of jimmi from volare. If u are into reverse harem only this is for you. Also the story feels disjointed.

From now on recommendation are to be taken with grain of salt.

This is one of my favorite web novels. I even registered an account just to leave a review for this. This is one of the few good reverse harem novels that actually has a plot. Luo Bing and the male leads have their depth and story. They don't have a perfect character but as the story goes on, you will find that each of them is growing as an individual. The world-building is quite average and leaves me wanting more which I think is a good sign. Overall, 10 out... more>> of 10 would recommend. <<less

I tried to give it a chance until I reached volume 5 but I couldn't take it anymore. There was no character development, no consistency and is very cringe-y. I decided to read this because I loved Crossing To The Future, because they said it has similar vibes but really, it didnt even hold a candle to the former.

I'm not sure what I want to rate this novel. While the plot can be interesting at times, it is also slow. It has both good parts and bad parts. I'll start off listing some of the 'good' points.

Good:

1. Luo bing is a strong/well written character in her own right.

... more>> 2. The fact this story actually has polyandry which makes it somewhat unique since that's far less common to see in novels than compared to polygyny (novels with a male MC with multiple wives are a dime a dozen)

3. She adapts quite well into this world and helped improved many people's lives

4. Decent world building

now here's the bad"

    1. two of the ml's- harry and Xing chuan- suck particularly the early part of the story.
        1. Spoiler
            • Xing chuan is a forceful, unhinged creep (i don't feel like listing every single example since there's way too many)
            • Harry initially tries hitting on various women plus feminine looking men (like raffles). Although he later stops doing that, he's still rather overly clingy to luo bing. I also don't like that one time he commented that he was afraid of Luo getting too 'carried away' pretending to be a guy and start 'liking' girls (which is homo/lesbophobic). You could also say it's hypocritical of him to have that attitude since he's been hinted to be bis*xual himself
          [collapse]
        1. some of luo's inner thoughts were annoying tbh
        1. the story moves too slowly
There's another thing/plot point I want to mention but I'm not sure what category to put it in, but I feel it's important to mention since it'll help people who haven't read this story yet determine whether to even bother.

Spoiler

There's these group of people called"ghost eclipsers" (who are also basically the main villains of the story) who practice cannibalism extensively and even capture people and treat them like livestock (these unfortunate people are refered as human pigs in story). They abused these people so badly they can't even communicate properly, and make them behave more similarly to farm animals than sentient human beings. While MC does rescue these people which is definitely a good thing, this whole arc was somewhat unsettling. If horror elements like this bother you, I wouldn't recommend reading this story.

edit:i added horror and cannibalism tags to this page <<less
