Probably Shy Loyal Dog Gong X Slightly Blackbelly Used Goods Shou

When a new neighbor moves in across from Chen Xiao, he sets his sights on the handsome young man, Gu MengYang. Though he’s coming off a bad breakup, he still wants to find love with a new man and wants to bully that man along the way!

Meanwhile, his fellow blackbelly friend from childhood, Luo Xin, noses in to “help” him catch his man. And, behind the scenes, tries to find a love of his own.

I have cavities! This is too sweet!

The MC (a bottom), is chasing after his handsome neighbor (ML) who just moved in a couple doors down from his apartment. The ML (a top), is the perfect lover. The ML is shy and bashful at first, but after confirming his feelings, he is possessive and passionate towards the MC. Not only can the ML cook and clean, but can also fix computers and fight well. What more can one ask for?! The ML is the dream man! After a series of unfortunate... more>> and slightly dramatic events, the MC and ML finally get together for a happy ending.

The first part of the novel (~15 chapters) :

The MC chases after the ML and they start to change from strangers to friends to friends with benefits. The ML is very sweet and caring towards the MC even as neighbors, and the fluff continues throughout the novel. After establishing long-term contact with the MC, the ML begin to show signs of jealousy and possessive behavior while the MC's failed past relationship come to light.

The second part of the novel (~after 15 chapters) :

The MC and ML finally get together and eventually lives together. Compared to the beginning of the novel where the focus was on drama and relationship developments, the second half of the novel focuses more on the daily life of the MC and ML. There are more fluff and sweet moments as well as smexy scenes~ Not only are there more smexy scenes, but also snippets of the ML's inner thoughts.

Overall:

This novel is an overload of sugar! I have never truly felt how single I am till this moment! I am such a lonely single cat, I need a lover like the ML! (T^T)

Back to the point, the novel is a fabulous relaxing read. There is a great backstory of the MC's/ML's childhood, smooth plotline that tugs at your heartstrings, and many extras after the story that finds closure to the novel. This is one of the best teeth-aching sweet bl stories I have ever read, so I highly recommend this to all the rotten readers out there! <<less

I decided to post this novel because it's such a fun read. And the relationship problems and depictions are really realistic compared to most novels. Love is about the day-to-day, not the big crazy moments.

The main character is soooo thirsty and desperate for his ML, it's hilarious to read his antics. The fluff in the novel is just perfect too and the extra chapters for the main CP are great. Plus all the smut, heh heh.

On the subject of the secondary CP, I actually came to like them more than... more>> the main CP. contrary to what another review here says....

.... it's clearly established in the novel that the two don't end up together just because they're left over. they get together because one of the characters had wanted to be with the other since he dated the MC - the MC just got to him first. so he was waiting all along to make the guy happy (in his own blackbelly way) and teach him what he personally needed in a relationship - together they learn what love is to them, it's really really sweet

A lovely modern BL relationship story where neither characters are forced into the role of a medieval virg*nal girl. Yay! *Cough* It's lovely and breaks many het/BL stereotypes; the romance progresses very naturally, with some pockets of angst from the MC's sad feelings about a failed previous relationship. The smut (spiffed up by the translator) is pretty explicit and hotter than what you'll read in many other novels.

This is a purely drama free, no evil villains, mostly fluff, with very supportive family members to the coming-out. It does fall a... more>> bit into the category of GFY (gay for you) where the ML previously thought himself straight.

The translation quality is excellent, as usual?

The story’s just started, but it seems really cute and funny, so I don’t know what that 1 star rating is about. Can’t wait for the rest!

This story is both hilarious and cute.

As I read, I really want to shout little brother, runaway. Lol The pits are everywhere. The MC is so crafty with his way of capturing his husband, as well as very diligent in digging pits. It's amusing. Meanwhile, the ML is soooo sweet and innocent, my heart goes soft for him. I really want to rub his head and adopted him home. 😂 The smuts are very sexy too!! 🔥 I don't usually shy reading smut, but this one is too sexy, too sweet. Omg my heart can't handle this! <<less

What pissed me off at the end was that the mc's player "best friend" hooked up with his ex and they f--ked off into the sunset with plenty of descriptive details from the author.

This type of story is right up my alley. It is sweet, smutty, and fun. There is low drama, and that’s just right.

It it feels like a relatively realistic situation. And the smut is great. I love it.

I'm not good at writing reviews, so what I'm going to say is that this novel is a cute and fluffy story with a lot of smut. For me, it's realistic because of their relationship and, at the same time, not realistic because not every couple is evidently harmonious (lol, my review is so confusing.)

I probably couldn’t count the amount of times I’ve reread this story on both hands. I just love it that much. There’s such a wonderful feeling this novel gives me, from the lovable MC and ML to their interactions and the narration. Some stories just strike a chord in your heart, and this one is it for me. Very simple and sweet, with touches of angst here and there.

I honestly love the MC so much he’s absolutely hilarious to watch. It’s always refreshing to see a shou being the proactive... more>> one, and I always find myself grinning at his antics to woo ML. Speaking of which, ML is also a total cutie. I love love wolf puppy gongs and ML is a prime example of why. I just love their relationship so much.

The side couple was alright but I found them cute. Their development was rushed but heartwarming enough that I didn’t really care. It honestly just made me happy that they found love in each other.

Love this short story to bits, can’t wait for the countless times in the future where I’ll undoubtedly return to reread. <<less

It was really great with all the dynamic switches between the couples. There was a great balance between the relationship stuff and smut. I really enjoyed the sweet sweet fluff. They are very cute together. I took off a star mainly because I didn't understand the need for the angst - it was very mild but the ML being the way he is (shy but strong) is revealed in a sweet and cute childhood extra. But I still find a part of the beginning of their relationship not to my... more>> liking. It is entirely my subjective opinion. Others might not have minded it. Overall, I found it short, sweet and very sexy. I particularly enjoyed it after they got together. All the characters are very adorable in their own way. Also, great translation quality. <<less

It's a nice read a greedy shou out to catch himself a gong.

What more can you ask for? It's a really cute and funny story between a brazen shou chasing a naive neighbor gong. I like the development of their relationship and how close to reality their relationship is.

I loved it... it's short, sweet, funny, smutty and no drama...a story about Chen Xiao falling in love with new neighbour Gu MengYang and how their friendship changed into something more. It was an enjoyable read and will definitely read again.

The second couple was also interesting. I like Luo Xin a lot but I liked HeJinFei less probably because I felt he was too much of an indecisive character.

If you're into a very nice (not dramatic) pining and eventually requited love story, I definitely recommend this story!

These two are just too adorable! I was so invested in their relationship. I felt my heartache when they felt pain and I felt so happy when they are full of happiness. Such a touching end to the story too!

The extras are also very sweet!

BE WARNED, it is SMUT! Little children, please keep your innocence and turn around. Wait till you're allowed to read this.

3.5 stars - dropped the last extras. The last chapters weren't very interesting and I couldn't bring myself to care for the side couple, they seemed like an afterthought. The MC confesses his love and the ML just leaves him hanging - how about accepting the confession before you run back to your parents to get their permission? The MC was left hanging for so long that he thought he had been rejected - like any sane person would think if they got treated like that. I know the MC addressed this problem later, but to me, this was just plain s*upid and so thoughtless of the ML that I didn't want him to end up with the MC.

A short and sweet story. I like that the MC was very forward and knew what he wanted. ML was a little frustrating at first bc of his shyness and ignorance feelings-wise, I guess, but nothing that wasn't made up for later. Despite the story being that short, they added a bunch of drama, which I am ambivalent about. I suppose that they were necessary to act as catalysts and make the story more interesting, but I would have liked some more fluff rather than that "angst". Also, I personally... more>> was a little weirded out by the extras with the side couple. Idk, it's just a little strange to me for the friend who was always a 0 and mentally thought he was a 0 to suddenly become a 1 to someone who has always be a 1. Especially when their first smex had dubious consent. Kind of a weird relationship. <<less
