I gave it a 5 star only after reading the first chapter. I don't want to change the ratings. However I read the next chapters in raws and I must say,

I think this is the first time I’ve read a novel below 3* rating at the start, and I’m glad I did. Don’t get mislead by the title, the story is fluffy after 1st chapter. The MC is indeed a bit creepy due his HEAVY love, but at least he have balls of steel unlike common beta JP MC so it’s really refreshing to read and not frustrating. Chapters are quite short too so it’s just a light read.

Enjoying how messed up the ML & FL are, hope the story only gets better because I'm already hooked

Many gave this 1 star is probably because MC is such guy, and the sudden development.

But the story is kinda good? The comedy is hella good tho, the romance part isn't that much of a romance since MC is such a guy.

But I expect sweet romance relationship without those talk in the near future chapter maybe.

The cutest fluffiest story you will ever read about a crazy guy gaslighting a depressed girl into loving him. The girl is crazy too though so it's okay.

Think people missunderstand this novel because of its name.

The protagnist is solid person, hes reason for liking the person.

Its not like he goes and says stuff like that to everyone, so think people dont read and vote on it, cause if they read it they cant help to love it.

A fresh breath of air from the typical rom-com of Japanese Light novel. The MC here can be a little prevented in many ways that's why I think many people gave it a 1-star review, but he does not cross a certain line where consent is needed. This novel has many potentials as I see it as it shows how two people who have been mentally bullied by society cope with their mental problems and rehabilitate one another. I feel like I've outgrown a lot of these stories... To me it is just too far fetched and idiotic characters for it to be realistic, just like how a lot of harems are just cardboard. It is also of my opinion that stories that need to directly say scene change... which it does from chapter 2, will not have a good written story, as the author was too lazy to write the extra one+ sentences it would've required.

Firstly I want to say that there is a second volume of this released and available on Amazon jp but it is not translated. This is a real hidden gem, even though there are only 23 chapters translated from the web novel it showed so much potential, personality, and character development already from the characters. Short read and must read, only part which is kinda Goofy is the fMC drugs and sleeps with MC.
