Oh my god. Those who are burnt out from reading plots about mc’s who work so dang hard, and yet only get a cold hearted ML in the end, READ this to be healed!

Don’t be scared off by the vague summary. The story is about a Ginseng spirit who gets transmigrated into the body of a bride in the middle of completing a Chongxi marriage, and then both the MC and her ML fall in love at first sight. The rest of the story is about both individuals taking care... more>> of each other, falling deeper and deeper in love with one another, and a constant flow of love and respect like an infinity sign.

Unlike other plots where the author puts in some contrived misunderstandings/miscommunications/ either unfounded or reasonable resentments, this is a slow, sweet ride all the way. <<less

I had to MTL this book and I do not regret that at all. I absolutely loved it. It's very light so don't expect a whole lot of drama in this book but it's perfect for when you need something to pick you up and to feel all the positivity in the world. The reason that I'm actually writing a review for the first time is that I want to celebrate the healthy relationships in this book. The The mother-in-law is kind. The ML and his brothers get along and... more>> support each other. The FL and ML have a healthy s*x life for once and I love that the author has the FL enthusiasticly consent and enjoy their lovemaking. I get so tired of FL waking up crazy sore or not seeming happy about their sexlife. This was a welcome change. The ML is an amazing father and isn't weirdly jealous of his sons. This book is written sunshine and the MTL is easy to understand. <<less

Before you start reading this novel, you need to know that this is a Slice-of-Life novel, so don't be surprised when you notice that the story is about their daily-life and less about drama.

The FL is such a sweetheart (she clearly is the dream love-interest in this story). She's somewhat dumb when it comes to human interaction, but her love for the ML is real and sincere!

The ML had been sick all his life, which led to him having a negative view of his future and a lot of guilt... more>> for his family. But that changed when he married the FL. It was a pleasure seeing him giving life another chance, so that he can spend more time with his wife and spoil her.

Read it for the couple but stay for the children ﾟ･:*｡ (ꈍᴗꈍ) ε｀*) ~｡*:･ﾟ

I really loved this novel. Its very simple, ML is devoted and MC is kind, she's not s*upid

There's no messy relationship or complicated mess in this

The kids, oh my god, such cuties🧡 and the story continues about their marriage also

Overall a very good read and slightly lengthy, may feel bored in the middle but worth it

I was emotional when read the last chapter, that is the last extra😭

Love this book, will recommend too❤️❤️

I felt like a God watching over the lives of the main leads and their friends and blessing them along the way. This novel, despite being based on ancient times, is quite idyllic and warm. There is indeed some scheming, but those kinds of things did serve a good purpose and are usually not a hindrance to the lives of ML and FL. The main leads got along pretty early and their relationship was just smooth... like butter lol. I also really liked how it also focused on the other... more>> characters in the novel and how everyone got their happy ending.

FL is just so likable. Since she is a ginseng spirit, she wasn't very well-versed in being a human being at the beginning so she had to have ML help her cope with it. FL is very pure, honest, kind, and straightforward (even in bed matters lol) and even though she does seem carefree and naive, she isn't s*upid at all. Because of her nature of being ginseng and her personality, people would like to always be near her especially ML. FL is a great wife, mother, daughter-in-law, and friend. She is also extremely lucky, too, which is why I didn't doubt how smoothly their family gained success (especially since ML's really talented).

ML is absolutely perfect (handsome, great parents, great genes, talented, extremely smart and cunning, and very affectionate as a husband and father) with a single flaw: he has a sickly body. He could probably be killed easily if you push him too hard at the start of the novel. Initially, he had a gloomy and indifferent temperament due to his idea of just waiting for his death. After marrying FL, FL raised him to be healthy and nourished him with her ginseng aura, he got better almost to the point of being normal. He easily fell for FL and decided to live for her and work harder to support her and their future family. Because of his talents, he was able to become successful step-by-step and he and FL met and got close to a lot of important people along the way. I liked the ML so much since he wasn't a jealous dad to his kids and loved them almost as much as he loves FL. He's honestly such a role model of a husband, father, son, and brother.

I would also like to mention that I love, love, loveee all the supporting characters in this novel! Everyone had their own struggles and personalities, and thankfully, they all receive all the happiness that they deserve. My heart feels warm and satisfied. This novel is definitely such a wholesome and healing novel. Thank you, author-nim!

P.s. what's with that last side story though???!! That made me cry so hard!! Thank you for giving our leads another life!!

Turns out ML is a phoenix and he has been waiting for FL for thousands of years. After they both died due to old age, FL returns back to her ginseng fairy body and waits for ML, worrying that she won't see her mate again. ML is actually the one who sends her to their past life so that the cause and effect would happen. He then takes her away to get married afterward. Yaaay, more years for my fave leads!

The FL has a child-like curiosity.. She's like a blank piece of paper, a newborn who's exploring the world~ and the most precious is her trust for her husband, the ML..

ML is attracted to the FL's naivety and dependency that she has on him. That is what drives him forward.. And motivates him to actually live.. And be the man of their house, who pampers and provides safety and security to his poor pitiful wife (whom he thought was forced to eat soil before their marriage) ~

It's a long story where they met many acquaintances and close friends.. And enemies..

Since the title itself can be self-explanatory, this story is all about how the FL conquers the world with her luck and fortune~

Sometimes you just need this kind of story.. It can be uplifting and satisfying..

There are fanwai, bonus chapters that are very good too.. Especially the last one.. Brought me to tears everytime I read it~^^ <<less

It was story of luck, faith, true love and rebirth though it was like a loop as which lifetime happened first.

A 1000 yr ginseng cultivated and wanted to be human to eat and sleep with the help of the fox and her bird husband.

She woke up as a bride marrying a sick guy. With her essence, she helped him extend his life.

... more>> Everyone in the Qi family was nice and family was harmonious and no scheming between them.

There were many characters and each have their own stories and role to play.

From Dalang, to the youngest, from JiaoNiang's brother until she gave birth to 3 kids, her friends, the royal family. Her 3 kids marrying and had their own family.

Until they reached old age, Qu Yun died and she followed. They promised to meet again.

She woke up and went back yo the cave where she transformed from ginseng to human before and met her fox friend again.

Eventually meeting Qi Yun as the Phoenix who gave his feather to help her rebirth and save her life.

Good read. Love the kids, prooved that stories can end well without. Killing, aphrodisiac, r*pe and other common plot in other chinese novels. <<less

It's pretty decent but imo slow. This is very true slice of life. I think it's borderline boring bc of the MC's personality. On one hand I like salted fish straightforward characters, but other than growing plants, touching the ML (& having sex), and eating, what does she do for plot? I mean the ML here is typical ancient china chauvinistic "don't tell the woman what happened ". I understand it, but it's unnecessary bc her personality already is "idgf unless you tell me this is important or someone is... more>> unhealthy". The ML is good besides that.

The most "complex" characters are her sister in law, the prince, and his wife. Not that the characters are 2d, but I'm trying to say the MC & ML after you get to know their character setup are Boring, stable, predictable etc to me. Bc they don't do anything different or beyond their setup. Their interactions although cute I guess, but it's feels repetitive for some reason. It's not like I don't like unproblematic couples! But here, their interactions feel like remixes of the same concept. Idk I think it's mostly hard for me bc the MC is disengaged by her simple personality, which makes the action so far away from the MC and by proxy, Me the reader.

This is for true slice of life fans with no drama or conflict (so far), unproblematic characters, and fluffiness. I dropped bc look I want more engagement from my MC, even in thinking at least.

Regarding her personality: there's a moment when someone tries to do a trick, steal something or whatever to get the ml's attention while the MC is preggers again. The ML before he deals with it tells her there's a thief apparently so stay inside & don't worry about it. Ofc she's like ok I won't then - literally no thoughts just food- and immediately says: "I'm hungry D: tho". Like..... she's not a human I get it but yea it's just hard for me. Of course the ML later hides the whole thing from her once he deals with it, predictable af at this point.

she has about a handful of moments besides the beginning part where she does something for others, or makes a response to someone other than her family and friends. And it's been over 100 chapters... Although it gives light to the other characters who I like & I don't need her to be op, but I want her to just be more present! mfing shit. f*ck make her more op as long as she actively does something damn it. Definitely not for me.

It's so fun to read and I love MC's character so much. ML is cute too (not as cute as MC though). MC is a ginseng spirit who is totally clueless on how to be human; as such, she copes with imitating the behavior of others. This made the romance move so fast between MC and ML. The romance was already there from the first chapter. It made me binge read it because I just want more fluffiness. I especially find it cute that the ML becomes jealous of his... more>> son for stealing his wife's attention, but the moment he sees his son's smile - at that moment, all jealousy is gone. He also treasures his son and loves to be with him, unlike other Cnovel male leads. However, around the 90-mark it suddenly became boring. This was around the time that political issues came into play. I will drop this first and read this again in the future. <<less

Pretty decent read if you're looking for something sweet and heart-warming to kill time. There is some drama here and there but nothing too heavy. The romance is smooth sailing with both leads being wholeheartedly devoted towards each other. Due to that, the story can get a little boring after 100 chapters so much that I'm actually hoping for more drama to keep me interested.

However, there is something I'd like to highlight, which is the healthy father-son relationship in the novel. I feel that in many CN novels I've read,... more>> dads always seem to have this sort of competitive relationship with their child to get the FL's attention. I guess it is for comedy's sake (?) but it just seems childish and unreasonable. The ML in this novel on the other hand dotes on the FL and his children AND is a responsible father/ husband every ML should've been. My favorite character might be the ML because he showed character growth and is a sweetie to the FL and his family ໒ (͡ᵔ ▾ ͡ᵔ) ७ <<less

I agree with other reviewers, this novel is mellow. Although it does have face slapping and reincarnation, it is not a dog blood drama. I can pick out several other cliché but they're not that bad.

babies and not every single female are trying to go against FL. I'm surprised myself when there are some characters that doesn't go batsh*t cray.

I do get bored and skipped their lovey dovey scenes after 100+ chapters. They're pretty repetitive, ML/FL do something cute and ML get h**ny. ÀNd the next day, maid/butler/3rd brother are embarrassed to interrupt their moment.

A very lovely story to read about a ginseng spirit who finds herself replacing a human girl and marrying a sickly ill man. As she's a ginseng spirit, she's able to heal him slowly.

This story focuses on her life. And of her husband who finds a new reason to keep on living. It also involves many side characters that she meets along the way: The Emperor, Empress, her brother, brother-in-law, friends, etc. Everyone will have their POVs in the novel. The main POV in the story is both the FL... more>> and ML. I really appreciate that as we get to see the ML's inner thoughts.

FL is a simple girl who focuses on eating well and living well. She doesn't scheme nor knows how to but she gradually gets smarter as she learns to be a human. ML on the other hand, is black-bellied but he's so soft on his wife. He's the perfect doting husband, and if you're looking for a man who does his best for his wife and kids, this is the story for you.

This is one of the best novel to read if you're looking for a ML that cares for his kids well, and knows their personalities best. ML takes care of them very well, he's the one who changes their diapers at night and coaxes them to sleep. He gets jealous sometimes but he doesn't call his kids a lightbulb or anything like that. He just asks his wife to give him extra kisses to compensate. ML truly is a great husband and father.

To say its a simple slice-of-life would be inaccurate as there are some intricacies that occurs but Jiao Niang is usually not involved and so it passes by with mentions from the people around her. The ones around her usually don't trouble Jiao Niang with the schemes that occurs as they see that she's a very innocent and pure hearted person.

The story moves along fairly quick and faceslapping of villains occur fast and they then disappear from the story. The ones who are good to Jiao Niang all have happy endings.

What I love about the story is the romance between different pairings and characters. Not only that, this is the first novel I've read where the Emperor who is not the male lead also only has one wife and no harem because he loves his wife so much.

Other characters like the straightforward honest Ye Pingrong and his persistent princess. Silly naive Qi Ming and his scheming wife... so many great stories and pairings!

My only gripe is that I wish we knew what happened to Ye Bao. Its not always the case when a villain's child is actually smart and learns from mistakes. He actually removes himself from his toxic family and becomes better. I wish he has a good ending too. EDIT: Found the extras and realized there was a happy ending for him too! Good going Ye Bao for learning and being a better person eventually!

Both Ye Jiao and Qi Yun lived a long life and ML passes on first. Made me cry honestly. ML knows about FL being special and he said to her to wait for him, he'll go to her. Ye Jiao passes on and finds herself back to her ginseng world, and there she has successfully escaped tribulation and gained human form but she still has grass on her head. She cannot find ML and gets really sad. She waits for weeks. Finally it turns out that ML is the phoenix who had given the Lu An (FL's fox friend's husband) his feather to help FL pass through to the other world where she met Qi Yun for the first time. After Qi Yun had passed on, he found himself in this world where he was reborn as a phoenix fairy. He cultivated for thousands of years and waited for Ye Jiao. Once Ye Jiao is in human form, he goes to find her. He doesn't look the same but FL recognizes her husband.

It's so funny cause the first thing she asks is, "Do you like to read books that only has pictures?" HAHA, their secret code for s*xing.

And they lived happily ever after.

A slice of novel set in ancient times. The FL is a thousands of year old Ginseng Spirit that ended up transmigration into the body of a little girl called Ye Jiao. Ye Jiao was sold by her family at the start of the family to take part in a Chongxi wedding (getting married to an ill person to provide luck). The FL, who doesn't know much about human things, goes along with it without much care. Only to meet the ML, her newly wedded husband Qi Yun. Qi Yun... more>> was sickly from a young age, his family was relatively well off as a small landlord family, so they were able to take care of him to adulthood. But his time was running out, and he didn't really want to get married -- lest he ruins his wife's life. But, after meeting the FL, her pureness provided him with the optimism to try to live once again.

GENRE: This novel is definitely more of a slice of life novel to begin with. The mood is very chill, with very little tension. It's really just the soft daily life of two people with very simple desires, working hard for each other in their own ways. Definitely good if you're looking for that kind of vibe! ACTUALLY, IDK why, but I thought this was a novel with lots of drama and intrigue. Perhaps there's a little bit of that as the story goes further along, (I only read 15% of the content XD so I can't be sure), but yeah. It's the opposite of what I expected at first.

MTL: Since the TL is unfinished, I decided to read the rest in MTL, just to give it a try. It's not bad, at least 75% readable. But the relaxing experience is kind of ruined by the frustration of not being able to understand it completely XD So I ended up giving up on it early.

OVERALL: I won't be giving this a rating since I didn't get past the halfway point, but I think that it's a good read. Not bad, at least. I would have probably completed it if the TL was completed. At the very least, it's not badly written and the characters are cute in their simplicity. <<less

I absolutely love this story and had to MTL to finish it as I could not wait for it to be translated. Parents of ML are unbiased and no concubine. Qi Dalang has only one wife and is a lovable father. Qi Erlang (ML) looks after the shops and is the 'brain' of the family and loving husband and father. Qi Sanlang is clever and is one of the official. No backstabbing or schemes among the in law. Amazing story

I've been reading from this site since 2018 and can't even begin to tell you how many novels I have finished (or started and never finished). This is one of the most heartwarming and touching relationships you will ever read. There is no ambiguity on how they feel for each other, no miscommunication and the trust is nearly supernatural. It was a fun read and I know I will be rereading this as soon as it's completely translated. FL is a ginseng spirit who failed tribulation and was reborn as human who was about to get married, Ye Jiao. ML is ten thousands of years old phoenix spirit who gave his feather to help his future wife reborn. ML also becomes human although he doesn't know his real identity himself. But falls in love at first sight with his newly wedded wife, our FL. They have a happy life. They gave birth to 3 children who later had their own stories and lives. This is a normal slice of life story a married couple in ancient times. But I have my own favourite parts of side characters such as Chu Chengyun (emperor) and Qi Ming's (MLs younger brother) bromance (low-key shipping) and all the couple's were great.😻😻

The beginning is good but the middle is dragging, luckily there are interesting story about side characters.

At first, I want to give 4 stars but the end of the novel is satisfying, that's why this novel deserves 5 stars.

The MC is a naive girl but in a good way, she is not a s*upid naive that any others side characters could step on. She doesn't has any dramas or scheming, she is the type of everyone could like and get close to.

She is also full of luck, just like the... more>> title. She spreads some luck to anyone close to her.

The relationship between the MCs is sweet and I think they are too sweet, it's make me skip some paragraphs that will make me roll my eyes while reading this surreal sweetness.

Well, I mean that I don't against harmonious relationships but if the plot is mention repeatedly, it's boring.

Overall it is a good read, light and I shred a happy tear at the end. <<less

It's a slice of life story, where yoi follow MC and ML through their life. MC is a ginseng spirit who went through tribulation and transmigrates into the body of Ye Jiao.

ML is Qi Yun the sickly second son of a rich family. The reason for their marriage is MC's sister-in-law sold her to pay off MC's brother's debt.

ML and MC starts off as strangers, companions and then lovers. MC falls in love at first sight because he's handsome and kind, and ML falls for her kindness and sincerity (honestly... more>> her eyes that conveys it). Because she's a ginger spirit, she has the golden finger of knowing almost every herb (although she doesn't know their name) and nourishing her husband's body by just keeping in close contact with him.

It's 215 chapters including the extras about each of their child and MC & ML's next life.

All face slapping and schemes happens offscreen, as MC doesn't deal with that because she has a capable husband and kind in-laws.

Honestly, a satisfying read because MC strives to learn and understand human etiquette and customs.

I laughed when MC thought she was rude for not kissing her SIL and MIL goodbye like she does her husband.

She tries her best to fit in, eat delicious food, nurture her husband's body and takes care of the household.

One of the good point of this story is how, MC's nephew who was initially mean to her changes for the better due to education.

He was only mean because his parents were mean to her, but when he learns more in school he doubts the action of his parents. I was a little dissapointed that this was glossed over because he had valid arguments about the teaching of parents vs the teaching of the teacher/saints.
