Wow just wow

I really enjoyed reading this novel and on how it tackles a different approach to the usual "Broken Engagement troupe"

This short story presents a perfect comeback for when a prince suddenly break off an engagement. The story might be short, but it's solid, full of steadfastness, and something that I wish other noble heroines can emulate.

That must be one of the most epic burns that I read in a long time, now I really hope that its not just a oneshot and that somehow it can be continued even if said oneshot do have a good closure.

This one-shot is definitely good, and it's a bit sad that other novels with this situation never try to do something like this when getting slandered in front of a large crowd by lower rank nobles.

The writing is not superb, but it gets the story where it needs to be, and the translation is good.

My main "problem" with this is that it doesn't wrap things up at all, making it feel like it was the first few chapters that were already written, but refused serialization by an editor (or the... more>> author changed his/her mind).
Spoiler

I mean, there are many details that are hinted at, characters mentioned, and she directly says that she will retaliate with the full power of her house on those that tried to slander her (in public with nobles from other countries no less), but none of that gets settled aside from people retracting their statement.

[collapse]

It's just a personal gripe though, because the whole scene is portrayed better than usual, with characters a bit more believable than usual too. <<less

it was good, but very short. It’s so nice to see one of those “breaking our engagement” talks end with an utter curb stomp. For such a short story, it handles itself very well. If I were to write a complaint, my only thing is that it doesn’t wrap up every single thing perfectly. It hints to some other love interest who never is showed/distinctly pointed out and is mentioned in passing. The “heroine” by the prince’s side is shown to have made plans but you never really find out... more>> what they are.

If you want a one page story about a “villainess” curbstomping a prince during one of those “we’re over!” Scenes and can overlook a few loose ends, go ahead and enjoy. <<less

I really love this Author. She’s done something that should had been done a long time ago. Makes Badass Moe Female MCs and doesn’t add that crappy Romance where there’s a perfect handsome guy. But we see more of things like World Building.

Though I think this was really short and could had explained more. I was hoping to see more of a reaction from the King and expressionless Queen. But there was nothing really..

It was good, but awfully short even for a one shot. It felt like reading a book with the last few pages ripped off. It has potential for continuation.

I was surprised and delighted with the simple and reasonable explanation for the change in her aura.
Spoiler

Usually, the sudden appearance of courage would have been reasoned with reincarnation or transmigration.

MC is so savage. I do believe that this can be further developed with a good plot. The MC, even without transmigration and reincarnation, can be independent and have an awesome adventure ahead.

but the author just leave it with just a oneshot~! T3T

I give this a 4 instead of a 5 because it is very short and, obviously, not perfect. I would give it a 4.5 but the stars don't seem to work that way.

I find this to be a very enjoyable engagement cancellation story. It is a little short (one-shot, duh), but it hits all the points I want from one of these stories. The prince, who cancels the engagement, is exposed as an idiot and suffers for his idiotic and reckless decision. The MC comes out ahead and has a... more>> bright future ahead of her. The bulk of this story is focused on exposing just how much of a mistake this was for the prince. <<less

It is really good.

Basically think Commonsense of a Duke's Daughter and Breaking of the Engagement just as planned, but much shorter since she handled it all perfectly.

This is one of the best BURNNNNN stories I've read. Too bad it is too short and the Female lead did not end up with someone at the end. (It was not stated)

I liked very much how MC didn't just accept everything and kinda of "fighted" back.

It's a solid and realistic story in the "breaking engagement" plot, fact that makes this oneshot refreshing.

Spoiler

I have to say that I liked very much how she "humiliated" that stupid prince. He deserved it and, well... that was totally "girl power" lol

This is a short story that will make you satisfied while waiting for new chapters in other novels.

I know that my English suchs but that's not my former language so... can't do much about it. 🙇

This is the kind of no-nonsense revenge I like to see. I really would like another chapter where she just utterly destroys both the prince and Ravina.

Overall a very typical 'broken engagement' scenario. While the start is decent the middle part when the heroine starts giving long, out of place expositions ruined it for me.

A WN having long expositions in dialogues is not fatal to the overall story. However, having it in a oneshot relying heavily on dialogue seems to be a fatal mistake. The expositions that gives us information that are not fleshed out and are mostly irreverent to the occurring plot just made me feel that it's part of the author personal fantasy, which... more>> is kinda off putting. Perhaps a few more chapters could have made it better but as a oneshot, it fails to deliver a short but sweet experience that most people seek. <<less

So similar to 'Breaking off the Engagement... Just as Intended', only this is oneshot.
