“Rosemary, I will discard my engagement with you.”

So I was told in the courtyard. But I am not Rosemary. I am not in any position to end the engagement, please listen to me carefully. It seems that the story had gone astray somehow.

Translation: 3.5/5

  • While it is understandable, you get the vibe of a somewhat sloppy MTL. Some awkward phrasings and such are to be looked out for. However, there aren't any spelling errors and everything is more or less proper English.
Story: 3.5/5

  • A short and sweet oneshot. The premise is refreshingly original, though the ending felt abrupt. I didn't feel very invested in the relationship due to the shortness of the story.
MC: 5/5

  • The main character is definitely a tsukkomi type, with above average common sense. A good contrast with the more air-headed love interest.
Overall: 4/5

  • A decent read. It's not extraordinary, but it's entertaining for what it is.

Translation: 3.5/5

  • It was decent. It had a very fun/childish vibe writing style. Not sure if that was how the author originally wrote the story that's why the translation came out like that.
Story: 3.5/5

  • A breeze of fresh air compared to other villainous ojou-sama stories. Though I had a feeling how this might end, it was a fun read.
Characters: 5/5

  • Both MC and ML were funny! I loved MC's internal comments! I had same sentiments as her during the whole story.
Overall: 5/5

  • Giving it 5 because I laughed out loud in the story. Truly a short story that invokes joy!

This was a great contrast to those "reborn as an otome villainess who's currently being dumped" stories. Not that I have anything against them- if I did, I wouldn't have come across this gem. It's a nice, short breath of fresh air in the genre and the snarkiness of the MC fully brings out the comedy of the premise. It even paints the idiotic fiancee-doubting male lead in a not-so-unfavorable light. The type of story you wish would continue, but you know serves its purpose best as a short story.

A different take on the typical engagement annulment story. Although the overall story was a good read, it was a bit hard to understand the details sometimes (due to the translation quality?), plus the end was really rushed given that it's a short story. If you're looking for something quick to read, give this a shot but don't expect anything amazing.

It's a one-shot, so I'll keep this review as short as possible. As always, ignore if you want to read it blind.

Fluffy and short, and certainly not meant to be taken seriously, so I wasn't on the look out for political details or schemes. Nothing annoyed me, and the story flows nicely for the most part. If there's anything I have a problem with, it's the writing flow (different from the story flow!) that may or may not be the cause of the translation, but it's easy to read and... more>> I applaud the translator for working so hard. Plus, none of the other girls mentioned were villainized! ≪-a problem with so many other stories of this genre.

I wish there was more closure or even an extended ending, but it concludes nicely as expected of a one-shot. Not exceptional, but pretty good. All in all, it's better than other longer stories and is an easy, short read, so there's nothing to lose. <<less

This story was quite humorous! The plot was short and simple but different which felt like a breath of fresh air.

The main character, despite putting up a kind front was quite sassy in her monologues which made her quite relatable and amusing. Overall it was a very cute story, short but sweet and the ending satisfying.

"I'd rather chew my tongue and die" This quote (in context) was so funny I actually giggled out loud ww~
