I’m so glad someone decided to pick this up. I was reading the light novel version of this but it was dropped. I am writing this review because someone said it has bad comedy, excuse me? I personally really enjoy the humor. The translator seems like they are doing a good job and they are updating regularly which I really appreciate because I know how hard it can be.
the novel is a deconstruction/parody of your typical dropped into a game world story because the game is super full of bugs. And yes the bugs still exist in the world that he was dropped into. I found it to be a great novel so far I am really enjoying it and am looking forward to more!

This is a pretty hilarious gaming novel.

Before you read this, beware that it contains a slightly beta MC, and also, if you want to read this, at least read it to chapter 55.

This novel focuses a lot on the "abusing the bugs" mindset that gamers have, coupled with the malicious devs, you get some ridiculously funny scenes.

The MC is your average gamer who abuses bugs in the game world he is transferred to. He also manages to craft some ingenious planes to counter hopeless situations by using those bugs or... more>> his pre-transfer knowledges.

The author really nailed it in creating a world where reality and a game made by bad devs are fused together, but du to the game and bug elements that are in this novel, there might be places where you get a whole lot of informations dumped on you but then never used again after that instance.

The characters in this novel are also decent, they can sometimes be quite frustrating due to the nature of their settings, but they are all in all pretty enjoyable characters in their own way.

This novel is honestly surprisingly well structured, despite it belonging to the game genre, it focuses more on the "abusing the bug" aspects than the fighting or leveling aspects. If you like reading a gamer abusing a game made by bad devs, then this novel is for you. <<less

This is a niche novel. If you've ever been into a buggy game and tried taking advantage of it in quirky ways, this novel will feel like home. The world of Nekomimi Neko Offline is a buggy mess like if you took Skyrim 1.0 (original release with no patches) and on a scale of 1-10 you dialed it up to 50. The devs are downright sadistic, but everything honestly comes together really well in a semi-believable way (I've seen bugs similar to those exploited here in actual games). The story... more>> itself comes together really well, with fleshed out characters and an honest-to-god good plot. This novel is absolutelt better written than the vast majority of ones on this website. I'm sad that the novel is getting close to completion now.

For me at least, this novel absolutely deserves a 5/5. The first 40 or so chapters are pretty big on infodumps, but after that it hits its stride. The MC is fairly dense, but it's in a consistent way and when things are literally shoved in his face he is aware of them so it's not to the level of frustrating. Honestly, the novel is hilarious if you can appreciate how buggy of a mess the game-world is.

It's honestly a heck of a lot more believable than most VR-novels. I'm never able to get into them because the novel will just gloss over how unrealistic it is from a game perspective. Even entertaining novels like Overgeared have frankly awful levels of realism when considering the atrocious game balancing and how the MC takes advantage.

This novel doesn't hold anything back, fully embracing how shitty the balancing in these novels is. It almost feels like a parody of the genre as a whole, while being entertaining in and of itself. <<less

i will give this a 4 star, the story is about MC transported to game world because her sister and how MC abuse bug for his advantage's

why you must read this ?
    1. its funny and fun.
    2. ringo is cute please protect.
    3. MC is not overpowered, he need always think how to trigger the game bug and some risk the bug not working as intended if he not carefull or work as plan but not like how he imagine.
if you really want to start this novel I recommend read the manga first, yes read the manga because the english manga already surpass 50 chapter + in wn also raw manga (jp) already chapter 100+ wn, trust me you will get addicted.

What a realistic depiction of the love between a gamer and a spiteful, hateful, abhorrent, Game Dev. The setup is for the end starts right off the bat and every climax is an exercise in comedic timing. Give it a read, youll love it too.

Yes, it’s lore-heavy, but...

Spoiler

This entire novel is run on foreshadowing, and its internal logic is somehow rock-solid.

Even the Deus Ex Machinas are so well-explained that they no longer become Deus Ex Machinas, just Souma-quality Grade-S hax.

He gamed the world from start to finish...

[collapse]

It’s a beautiful clusterf’k of a novel.

That being said, while there is a harem, a strong one, if you’re looking for romantic intimacy...

Spoiler

Don’t bother. I love and respect Souma, but my god, the dude is denser than a black hole. It’s infuriating. I love the novel but if I could smack him upside the head, I would.

I wouldn’t be so frustrated if he was outright as*xual and aromantic (Aro Ace), but no, he’s just THAT dense, to the very f’king end.

You eventually gotta respect the grind, but holy f’k, there’s layers to how Beta this dude is.

Even if you use the excuse of ‘he’s too in love with the game to notice the girls throwing themselves at him’, it still borders on madness.

The foreshadowing, lore, and character depth elevate this novel to a 6.0, but his sheer romantic incompetence lowers it back down to 5.0.

[collapse]

Still, it was an excellent read. Wouldn’t read again, but I’m glad I’m read it. <<less

i really like the concept on how the MC managed to exploited the game system and bugs maximally like I would do as a gamer, and not like mostly isekai MC that their power is rely on luck, the MC here is only using his game knoweledge (maybe a bit luck tho), also ringo is really cute so 10/10

It's a pretty solid read all in all, has it's moments where the MC is a bit too dense for my liking but it has really good story telling and foreshadowing to make up for that - sometimes unexpectedly good even.

It's relatively lighthearted until it gets closer to the end but I feel it's very fitting for the story all in all.

This is the epitome of "crack treated seriously." It's well-written but you really can't take anything seriously. It's a really creative and unique novel, but I would only recommend it if you can take high levels of crack.

One thing I really like is how the author foreshadows and connects things from waaay before. Clearly, the novel was planned. The plot twists are wild, but they make sense!

The MC isn't the most fascinating, but he sure is quirky... and dense. I liked the female characters in the "harem." The romance wasn't... more>> really focused on imo, but I appreciated every girl MC added to his "party." They were cool and fleshed out (except for maybe 1).

Note: It's a bit boring at the start. The set-up (idk 20 chapters? ; until he meets the first girl) is kinda dull, but it gets amusing after that. <<less
