His will is tough and he is unwilling to be normal. However, his pathway was destined to be that way, being born in a small sect’s branch.

However, one day, his left eye merges with the eye of an Ancient God in an accident. From that moment on, he turns from a fish into a dragon.

He rises up like a star, walking the path of a legendary cultivator.

From being a tiny, small ant at the bottom of the world, he rises step by step, into a place full of powerful sects, strong ancient clans and countless geniuses.

This is an era of legends.

Great book, while the start is slow or repetitive to some/most I think is a good foundation for the way the MC develops later on. If you're comming from Japanese anime/manga/novels and starting to read Chinese novels just think how much longer this stories are, is bound to repeat some of its structure but on a different way making the whole very enjoyable.

P.s. If you read a review/comment about this book were they compare it to the sharingan it only means they haven't read enough Chinese novels and you could... more>> very likely just dismiss that review <<less

Literally Sharingan + Byakugan = this

It's not bad though, however, not innovative.

+ Becomes far more interesting later after 300 chapters
- Starts slow and has repetitive tournaments.
- Character always manages to find an opponent just one realm above his own... yeah okay...

If you are bored and have nothing left to read, and want to read a story about a guy with a sharingan, then this is for you.

Ahh... Out of all CN novels I read, this is definitely the KING OF KINGS!!! I present you the unprecedented, unbeatable, invincible, unstoppable, most outstanding, most powerful, and most talented genius, the King of Janitors! Beware of his legendary might, his prodigious trash-cleaning-techniques, and his all-powerful-no-backlash-mysterious-ultimate-technique sharingan.

Trash better not get in his way, otherwise be prepared to be dumped in the trash can. But before doing so, he will first copy enemies' techniques better than your giraffe seatmates at school, steal their girls faster than you can blink your... more>> eyes, make them cry until their daddies and grand daddies show up, and most of all, make you lose some brain cells in the process!

In a world where every place is littered with trash, a new janitor has been born! Follow this janitor MC's journey as he rids the heavens of these trash, sweeping his almighty broom left and right, up and down, and in whichever way the wind blows. Not even a single speck of dust can escape his godly eyes. Under his prowess, all trash are destined to be placed in the trash can!

Seriously though, this novel is currently all about trash and eating pills like groceries. The MC starts as a trash himself, then suddenly and luckily transforms into a powerful janitor. Then all the following chapters after that was about the MC cleaning trash after trash, after trash, after trash. Then meeting trash characters, after more trashier characters, after moooore trash characters. Then proceed to eating pills, after pills, after more pills, and consolidating his cul... eating more pills, and more pills, and consolid... and more pills, and mooore pills.

So far, the novel has nothing interesting going on. No creativity, no depth, no romance, no emotions, and no relatable event/character. No twists either (as of c126), like what one of the TL guys said. A very poor novel so far. Story might get interesting past 500 chapters, but that's likely a year or two away, considering the release pace. Would only recommend for those who are extremely bored. <<less

Is generic xianxia; written by schoolboy; strength ranking is a mess; overflowing wishfulfilment.

Novel Essence in two sentences: Merging with his Left eye was slowly changing his bloodline, he was calm, composed and confident much more than ordinary men. Under unprecedented pressure, left eye was stimulated.

So far the series has been real bad. Extremely disappointing so far.

Dense MC, one dimensional female lead and stupid side characters. Shallow character development and confusing cultivation levels. It has everything which we hate.

The only reason I am reading is because the translator and GGP (admin of GravityTales) promised that it has some good twists.

The MC has a nifty eye with special abilities. It kind of reminds me of Sharingan/Byakugan from Naruto. So far, the story is very generic xianxia. People just randomly pop up and tried to harass the protagonist. Of course when the MC beat up the trash, the senior baldy will appear and take revenge.

Many are bagging on this novel but I like it. I think that the journey is what counts when reading a book. So far the journey has not been uninteresting and I look forward to more chapters. The translation is also top quality. You have nothing to lose by picking up this novel.

I picked this novel up thinking it might be alright considering the story line didn't sound too bad and the ratings were good. I am dropping this novel because it is a horrendous piece of trash. I had no idea how people even gave this good ratings. I was going to do a pros/cons list but I can't think of a single pro, so I'm just gonna do the cons.

  • This thing reads like a diary, not a novel. The first 44 chapters in a nutshell: "I decided to cultivate this skill now. After 2 days, I finally understood something about the skill and it became stronger. Then, I cultivated this other skill for 2 days and it reached the peak of the high rank!" etc. It's more than likely going to be over 1500 chapters of this. Also, what is "something"? I'll tell you what it is, it's the result of a lazy author that doesn't want to put any effort in his novel so he doesn't even try to explain anything.
  • Super redundant. I'm not even talking about what I mentioned above about how the story is repetitive, even the sentences are repetitive. It keeps repeating the same descriptions of everything. You'd think maybe they're just reminding you after a few chapters, but no. The novel is riddled with almost identical descriptive sentences just a few sentences apart, and it's not just a few cases, it's been like this constantly. You could easily cut out 30% of the novel so far if you removed the redundancies.
  • Story? What story? The point of the story is just the MC wants to get strong, but he doesn't have any reason to do so. There isn't even a cheesy reason like protecting his friends. Considering the MC is as dull as dishwater, there is no way any sort of story line or motives are going to develop later on, just retarded antagonists appearing that happen to be around the same level as the MC and get pummelled.
  • No insight whatsoever about any of the skills. All you know about them is they are either a movement skill, an attack skill or a body strengthening skill. That's it. Nothing else. Author doesn't even try to explain what they do.
  • Fights are terrible. It's just people spouting random skill names, and you don't even know what those skills do. Interactions between the skills are retarded. Whichever skill has the higher rank always wins, no exceptions. It is completely unrelated to how it is used. On that matter, I don't think anyone has even tried to use a skill creatively yet, and I don't think this is going to change. I can't believe the authors actually have the nerve to pull the Martial Arts tag on this. Also, not once has anyone with a lower "power level" actually won the fight, other than the MC once or twice near the start because his eye gives him insane reflexes because it's convenient to the story.
  • Characters suck. Let alone a personality, the MC doesn't even have a single character trait. He doesn't even have any emotions, and his speech jumps around from respectful, arrogant, humble or whatever else the author's mood was at the time, for no apparent reason. Let's not even get started about the side characters.
I'm not even going to get started on the plot holes or the ridiculous luck the MC has.

Example: ... more>>

Oh, there's a tournament in a few days and you have no chance of making it in the top 3? Don't worry guys, he randomly stumbles on a cave with easily millions of silver worth of materials that help him get stronger at a ridiculous rate.

I heard that the translator says that this gets really interesting at around chapter 200, but even if the arcs get more interesting, it won't change all the underlying problems with the novel that I mentioned above. Save yourself some time and go read something else. <<less

At first this novel seemed like the usual generic plot. Trash cultivator gets special item, gets powerful and challenges/defeats all geniuses. The first part of the novel is somewhat crap but if you can get over that part it gets reallyyyyyy good with interesting twists. Its definitely worth the read.

PS: If you are someone who likes romance very much like me, honestly don't expect much from the novel. Im in chapter 1121 and romance is terrible due to having no romantic moments at all! And also get used to hearing the word "Chosen" and "Genius" they wont disappear anytime soon.

Standard power fantasy, with some funny moments, and surprisingly even though some characters are boring, you end up loving some of them even if they are one-dimensional. (Raws)

Very enjoyable so far. As of chapter 59 it still feels as though the main story hasn't begun yet as the character of Zhao Feng is still in the "starting area" so to speak. He is still with his family clan so everything up to now feels like an introduction. That isn't to say that the story is slow, as plenty has happened in terms of facing opponents and leveling up, but I think the real good stuff is yet to come.

Can't wait to see which direction this story... more>> goes in. :)

The worst novel that I actually read. It’s sh*t. Absolute sh*t. But it’s easily, rapidly flowing sh*t, practically diarrheic.

Cultivation and fights are simplified below what should be their bare minimum, making the story very fast-paced. If MGA, WDQK, MGS, and their kin are one kind of bad, then this is another, largely because the MC isn’t mass-murdering maniac (yet?) and antagonists aren’t quite as copy-pasted.

Let’s do some Q & A.

... more>> Q: What are cultivation levels here?

A: Ah, just things to overcome in a few time-skipped weeks by eating a few nameless pills. It doesn’t have to be the MC, everyone does it.

Q: So why are there people who stay low-leveled and don't improve for years?

A: Um. Next question, please.

Q: Then what are skills?

A: Just these things that don’t need much description... they don’t really matter anyway, just imagine something whenever their names pop up.

Q: How would you define character depth?

A: Uh...

Q: What do the words arrogance, self-centeredness, and “cleverness” mean to you?

A: The defining traits an MC should have! No—the only way any character should be!

The author’s name is quite apt; can he truly be so self-aware!? However, I would suggest a small addendum: Fast-Food-Restaurant-That-Builds-Its-Burgers-Out-Of-Addictive-Chemicals-Which-Give-You-Food-Poisoning.

Consider it, author, yea? <<less

Quite possibly the most cliche-filled, predictable, and boring xianxia on this entire website. Absolutely nothing unexpected has happened for the entire story so far. Every "rival" is an arrogant fool whose only purpose in life is to have their face slapped.

Translation quality is top notch, however. Just wish they didn't waste their effort on such a mediocre novel.

Cliche story, but it's most enjoyable. Really like, really love. I like the power up too, on a personal level. And there are already characters introduced who will most likely appear in the later parts of the novel, which is pretty cool since most of this kind of novel just throw random mob characters who only appear for like 3 chapters. The stages, or arcs, are very well put, that I don't feel it's too slow or very rushed and in a way that it's alternating with the main story... more>> line with his side jobs like hunting in the forest and pill making.

The power system is very cool because I actually get the point the crowd is talking about, with the high skill high level stuff than can compare to peak skill low level and whatnot. Overall, it's very enjoyable, but butthurt people probably won't like it because it's "cliche". Been fully enjoying it since Province City Arc. The start is a bit of a chore to read, but it's cool to see him OP along the way not in a way that some elderly people finds out about his powers and try to kill him or that you just want to question other people's eyesight to know why they can't see an MC being too OP. <<less

MC is very likeable, characters seem quite well written, eye of god seems like a interesting OP artifact, which is quite mysterious still (Although Ive heard that later it will become more of focus of the story). For me it seemed that the start was little slow but more I've read this, better it has become.

While the cultivation rank, martial art skills seem quite straight forward in this novel, but during the last 20 chapters there have been some hints to more interesting aspects to these as well.

Translations... more>> are done really well and translation speed is quite nice. <<less

Usual cliche. Looked down on. Finds OP item. Levels up really, really quick. Rises in power. Yeah nothing new, but for some reason I just can't stop reading it...

It's enjoyable and fast paced which allowed me to just shut my brain off. There's nothing 'fresh' about this story, but it's a very good time killer if you don't have anything better to do. There's a lot of loop holes if you actually pay attention and there are a million things that could've been done better but honestly who cares.... more>>

Just sit back and have a good time. <<less

This novel seems to me that its based on simply one kid getting stronger by a cheat in a slow pace as hell. Its very standard wuxia that I've read already which didn't help me get to interested in this as I just browse through it for a few days to reach translator latest. I'll have to give it a 3 stars out of 5 for just being a time consuming read.

Extremely generic weak to strong cultivation novel (at least so far). While IMHO it is progressing from weak to super-OP very quickly the chapters are still quite an enjoyable read. The translation thus far is excellent; none of that barely readable English MTL stuff that pops up from time to time.

Bottom line: Good Saturday morning junk food novel to binge on then forget for a month or so.

It's a fun binge read, but there isn't much depth to this one. The cultivation is glossed over and a lot of things in the story is simply left unpolished. The combat system is terrible as well.

However it still was enjoyable to binge, so if you've got nothing better to do and you want that Xianxia fix, go give this a try.
