For the first 20~ chapters I thought I knew exactly how the novel was going down. Low and behold I was surprised with actual conflict and character development. Which is cool but I H A T E how it was done. This happens in chapter 23 which I've marked as a spoiler. Chapter 23:

Spoiler

In this chapter he assaults the Crown Prince (4yr old) for injuring his sister (4yr old). This is done in front of the Queen, in public.

The MC, awaiting punishment, starts breaking down and it is really well written inner-turmoil. He even starts trying to imagine a controller in his had to return to when it was just a videogame and little consequences.

HOWEVER the public opinion afterwards from the women at the event is 'Oh what a gentlemen he stuck up for a girl'. He is 7 using magic on a 4yr old who pushed a girl down. He doesn't get punished at ALL and is then allowed to hang out with the prince all the time.
The little f*cking psychopath.
[collapse]

I really like how the MC is written, he has high emotional intelligence but it's lopsided since he's a toy salesmen. So he has the ability to care for our villainess but not the wisdom or maturity to do what's best for her. His well meaning actions are negatively affecting himself and others. I don't mind very flawed characters but the ages completely ruined my immersion. Had this conflict been at the academy, maybe a decade later (14-17yr old), I think I would of loved it.

After reading Chapter 21, I think I like the direction where this story is headed.

My initial thoughts on the series was that it would be an otome game isekai with typical in*est vibes based on the title. But pleasantly enough, it's more wholesome than expected. Even though the MC is a supreme siscon, his end goal is making sure his sister avoids becoming the villainess and that she attains happiness above all else. This particular excerpt from Chapter 21 I think perfectly displayed that.

Spoiler

"You don't have to keep reminding me, Mother, " said Cain. "My goal is to become great at embroidering so that I can one day present Diana with a beautiful wedding gown."

Elise had lost count of how many times she had warned Cain about the coming meeting. This time, though, his response was something she wasn't expecting. She widened her eyes and looked at him.

"Cain! So you do want Diana to be married off, after all, " said Elise.

Upon hearing those words, Cain smiled, sadly.

"What kind of monster do you think I am?" said Cain. "I want Diana to be happy, above all else."

"I thought that you might be an obsessive older brother who planned on never letting her leave the household, " said Elise.

"Of course not. My main goal in life is to ensure that Diana will be the happiest girl in the world. I want her to be happier than anyone, at all costs, " said Cain.

I also think that his sister has been written pretty well so far as the story's portrayal of her has been pretty believable of what a child should act like. She's a pretty big brocon as well, but it didn't feel like that characteristic was particularly as overwhelming as one would expect from imoutos in these types of stories.

Another interesting aspect of the story is that because he's trying to prevent his sister's villainess end, he's trying to round up the capture targets of the original game and make sure they don't end up being the cause of her bad end. So far he's already met one of them and befriended him and their dynamic as friends is actually pretty hilarious as he often plays the straight man to the MC's siscon tendencies. So it'll be interesting to see how the MC will interact with the other capture targets as well. <<less

It’s good and refreshing. Many of these trope novels start good but devolve into generic tropes and bland or boring characters. For now, the writer has stuck to the overarching theme and in a mere 25 chapters unfolded a series of complex characters. My only critic is that I foresee that protagonist is sometimes unreasonably sis con. I would like for him to develop healthy relationships outside of his sister, but low and behold and the recent chapters are already going in that direction.

conclusion: it’s a good, casual and fun... more>> read with touches of complexity. <<less

Not Recommended Novel, MC is somewhat annoying, Siscon, and disgusting.

MC with total age of 37 y.o, Trying to kill 4 y.o old Prince just because his 4.y.o sister injured which is kind of normal for the child to doing something like that (Child fight), MC is nothing than Psychopat, if you try to read this Novel I really recommended to Avoid it.

The biggest selling point here is the characterization. Everyone is very well written. The author presents genuinely cute moments that makes you feel like the kids are cute instead of just saying how cute they are instead. The kids do things kids would do like building a secret base or picking up sticks to swing around like a sword. This characterization extends to the adults as well. The author hits a very good balance of showing that the parents are good people who love their kids while still being bad... more>> parents. It puts them in this position of being understandable antagonists as you understand that noble parents would be this way but anyone with childrearing experience would know they are going about this the wrong way.

The plot itself is present just enough to keep the constant slice of life material from getting stale and boring. It is slightly bothering because like with other otome game novels, it feels like the plot doesn't really start until they begin school, so all of this feels a bit like a preamble. Luckily the slice of life stuff is interesting enough that it isn't a huge problem. <<less

Entertaining but very slow paced. I never felt like the story was dragging but we are at chapter 64 and the MC's still only 7.

I was worried that this will become some in*est harem stuff but so far, his relationship with his sister is very cute and platonic. Both of them are sibling cons lol. It's actually his interactions with the capture targets that raise my eyebrows (although I don't think this will be yaoi) He has pretty much been an older brother to all the kids around though he... more>> also makes a few mistakes here and there. No character so far has been 2D or unreasonable.

One thing I like is that the novel addressed the issue of MC suddenly losing video games, his hobby. Usually, in such novels the MC very quickly adapts to such primitive life and all otakus don't even think about anime anymore. If I ever got isekai'd, probably the first thing I will do is create internet and substitutes for electrical appliances. <<less

it's what's on the tin, main character reincarnates as one of the capture targets of an otome game, becomes deeply attached to his younger sister, and is working towards giving her a better future, at chapter 9 not much has been done yet, other than interacting with 1 of the other capture targets, but it seems like it will be a decent enough read to pass the time

In the beginning I liked this novel, even with the siscon being a little oppressive it was quite fun. However, the MC is a pushover and makes many decisions that I'm like are you really reincarnated? Assaulting a 4year old for a little accident, not being able to give coherent arguments to his parents and just accepting every one of their decision. The most infuriating is when he goes to school. ARE YOU KIDDING ME RN? You not only are cleaning toilets as a DUKE'S son, no to disgrace you... more>> further you cosplay as a girl for pocket change. Like does that make sense? Just ask your parents for money I'm sure they'd give you if they'd know you'd do that. After this I stopped reading this novel is really bad for my heart lol. <<less

Pretty interesting and cute. The sister obsession isn't present in a weird or perve**ed manner. MC's relations with the future suitors in the game is so cute, he really likes doting on children haha

We are still in the early childhood part of the story, so it's mostly heartwarming interactions.

So far this is actually a really refreshing novel. The MC isn't pervy, depressing, or a god among men.

Yes he is a siscon but he doesn't hold any romantic feelings towards her (so far).

... more>> Yeah, the sister is a brocon, but it's just a 4 year old that has no other children to interact with daily.

I think Chapter 23 is the strongest so far, it shows us that the MC despite being focused and healed by his sister is still in an otherworld that lacks the conviencies of the modern age.

There has been some minor worldbuilding and we only saw a glimpse if magic, but I am hopping the author expands on it a bit more. <<less

Even though I really don't like the MC, the hardcore feminist plot and the fact that nothing "juicy" happens, I give this a 5* for the craft. This is superbly written and structured. The author (I assume a woman) clearly has lots of experiences with kids (and parenthood) and manages to converse their point of view and troubles perfectly.

I will take this novel as a reference material for when I have to write a child character.

I’ve read a bit of this and unfortunately I didn’t like this as much as I thought I would.

This is quite good other than the fact MC is a huge siscon.... like, a HUGE siscon...

It’s genuinely to the point where it makes me uncomfortable whilst reading

yeah, I get that he loves his little sister and wants her to not lead herself into destruction and did a horrible death but sheesh...

this would’ve gotten a higher score from me if not for this one thing

I love it!! I love everything! The fact that MC is the villainess's older brother and want to save his sister, the fact that his a siscon, the fact that his sister is not the one who has memories. The only thing I didn't like is the same as everyone, the character development. But I don't think it need to give three stars. I like MC and the villainess. She's so cute >\\\<. She knows MC is a siscon and loves her which is why she uses her cute face... more>> to do things she want with MC. <<less

First off it has to be said that this is one of the most extreme examples of attachment to an otoge villainness that I've read so far, if not the most extreme one. The MC turns into an extreme siscon that is occasionally creepy, although not in a pe*verted way.

The vast majority of what is translated so far is about the childhood period, and while I feel that too much has been skipped towards the end of it to compensate for the childhood being stretched slightly too long, the story... more>> does eventually move on to the point of enrolling in school and the plot is not entirely resolved in that childhood period.

To summarise the plot so far, the MC uses his grinding habits from his time as a gamer in his previous life to steadily improve in all aspects, which is additionally boosted by his high specs as a capture target, and spends every free minute doting on his sister. He's also trying to break her destruction flags, but while many of his actions are motivated by this, actively interacting with other game characters takes up a relatively small portion compared to some other novels that focus almost exclusively on this aspect.

Overall I have found it very enjoyable and decently written. There are many sweet moments, but the MC's obsession with his sister is also a regular source of comedy. The childhood period so far has a slow-paced slice-of-life feel to it, but it remains to be seen how the next arc will develop.

The characters aren't one-dimensional and are fairly consistent, but don't exactly have a ton of depth either. To a certain extent this is because the MC hasn't come into contact with all the capture targets yet some of which will presumably have more intricate backstories. However, two reasons why the characters aren't addressed more deeply could be said to be that the MC tries to adjust to the level of his younger sister and ultimately doesn't hold any significant interest in anyone else. Since the story is told from his point of view, there is no reason for him to talk about other characters because he doesn't care.

The translation quality has room for improvements, but it's still decently readable. There is some inconsistency regarding the translations of the characters' names, but ultimately it's still possible to tell them apart because their names aren't similar to another. Other than that and some minor grammatical mistakes my main gripe would be that the narration isn't consistent which I expect to be related to strongly adhering to the original, even though honorifics etc. Are replaced by English equivalents.

I definitely look forward to reading more of this once the translation advances. <<less

Story has interesting and unique plot where MC don´t care about others and is not some inocent boy who get all girls just for being nice like other protagonist in genre where MC in reincarnated in otome game and even if there where some girls he would send them home.. He have his goal to save his sister and from others pespective it may look like he is just obessed but reality is that its just show his stress and anxiety he have because he know future and what can... more>> happen to his litlle sister which he love so much. MC is smart and he don´t mind to use anything to acomplish his goal

Story is slow paced even after 95 chapters MC is still 12 years old but he prevented some death flag´s. Characters are interesting but it miss some antagonist or litlle bit more drama or event where protagonist can develop and start slowly have felling for others people rather than just his butler and his sister

Spoiler

MC for now is like machine thats goes stright for his goal and even after he is forced to go in diffrent country and have, , friends´´ it clear he don´t think much about them and he honesty don´t care what will happen to himself in the future as long as his goal is acomplished I hope there will be grown in his character where he will open to someone and start to think about himself a bit, because as things are now he wouldn´t hestitate to kill his own parents if he need to.. He is like rational yandere.. There is another reincarnator beside him even tought they still did´t met so I hope she will be able to help him somehow

[collapse]

is still just 95 chapters so I hope we get to the mains story after Dianna enroll to school <<less

Ok so ive tried it out and it was interesting but I've noticed somethings like why the hell is the MC playing an otome game and for some reason after the encounter with the child assassin it seems to be leading to the direction I detest (bl or yaoi) so I search it up and found a forum and based on the spoiler they gave there's a chance so nah im out

Im not saying its a bad read but atleast put tags to make things clear

Ow and if ever im... more>> wrong pls contact me since I think this has a potential <<less

it is only a good read if you are into novels where brother spoils and guides sister... yes thats all it is

There were some good moments where the MC has good character developments ... more>>
Spoiler

after almost killing a 4 year old and showing almost no remorse to it

[collapse]

But the character development is undone very quickly and the story goes back to how it was

Spoiler

the MC is basically tragic middle aged man... he never lived for himself and is only living for the future of his sister... there were some time when it looked like he will break the barrier and try to do something for himself only to side characters to step up and have a touching moment with him and then him go back to being a s*ave for his sister's future

[collapse]

So if you are looking for a fluffy story of braindead MC spoiling and guiding his sister then go read it... thats basically the only charm of the story

And it seems like it will have some romance but no sight it in translated part yet.... but its easy to predict who the FL will be... no it wont be his sister <<less

This is worth to read. I was close to drop this on chapters before 70, because it became repetitive boring slice of life with no development. After that, there's a timeskip which move the story again and made it fresh for a while. Yup, for a while, it went back to the boring slice of life again.

The story is slow, like even chapter 100, the game plot didn't even started and seems like it is till far ahead, unless we get a timeskip into that. The characters are "okay", but... more>> because it's slice of life, we barely get a good character development. Except when the sister decided to put a lady persona while training to be strong.

The story revolves more on the sister and his male leads. And since the brother is the MC, he's the one who's planting flag on the male leads. This made the story a potential BL bait. It's not to the point of being one, but there is just too much male to male interaction that you can either think of this as shoujo or bl. There's no hint of girls around the MC who fits as her female lead.

Slow development, tons of male-to-male but no male-to-female interaction, and repetitive slice of life, is enough reason to drop it now. Maybe I'll pick this back again in the future, but it just this is not what I expected in the story. Not completely a disappointment, but a bit boring for my taste. The little development we get is not enough to justify the slow dull boring story. <<less

A dull and disappointing slice-of-life story. It has an interesting premise but there are plenty of other stories with the same premise. The author spends too much time on boring details of particular actions that don't matter. It isn't so bad at first because the author is setting the world up and introducing the characters. But it becomes annoying as the story goes on.

I also am annoyed by the weird romantic relationship between the MC and his sister. I would normally just say that that is a matter of taste... more>> but it is actively used to prevent any kind of romantic relationship with possible heroines. That would also be acceptable if this was focused on action but there is a lot of time spent on setting up how well the MC fits in with women because he likes knitting and poetry. Only to then deliberately tank marriage interviews by saying he cares more about his sister than any woman.

That might eventually change but I am already 88 chapters in and the quality isn't good enough for me to wait another 80 chapters for something interesting to happen.

Give this a shot if you specifically want a villainess rescue story about a siscon. Otherwise look for one of the many others. <<less

I consider this to be a very good novel.

It has a bit of a slow progression, but nothing ever truly overstays its welcome. The author does seem to be able to correctly portray kid characters in a realistic way and doesn't arbitrarily makes child characters more mature or less mature than what their age/social position would otherwise imply.

The main character has a bit of depth to him as he continuously attempts to do his best to raise both himself and his sister the best he can. In some ways, he... more>> even raises his sister better than his own "supposed" parents, while he messes up in other ways. He, as well as the majority of the characters in this novel, are not one-dimensional, and the author does a good job displaying that.

That's why, overall, I consider this to be a very good novel. I really, really really love it! I binge-read all 90 chapters in a single weekend. I'm now waiting for more chapters to be translated. <<less
