Nearly unreadable tr*sh one star.

It's just an incredible mess exceptionally hard to follow and for the most part simply unenjoyable. Roughly the first 20% of the novel is to set up the reunion which turns out to be the most unbelievable and unsatisfying reuniting I have ever seen. Getting past the re reads as the names change, the interaction just isn't there. There's maybe half a page of interaction with the switcher, and even less with her bio family.

There's plot elements that come from nowhere, none of the characters have... more>> a believable motivation and it trundles on towards a predictable ending.

Bottom line skip, if you're a masochist and need to see for yourself read the couple of chapters that are translated. <<less

I'm MTLing since the TL linked here seems to just be slightly cleaner MTL anyway. I don't want to be too critical since the author did mention that this was their first work and they did warn readers that it would be messy.

The first part of the story dealing with the switch and the one-sided (?) in*est, which feels like the A plot of the novel despite being side characters, feels like a parody of "switched at birth and fell in love with the fake brother/sibling" trope webnovels. I feel... more>> like the people who usually complain about the logic/ethics of this kind of webnovel plot would probably enjoy this part. It's very convoluted and goes through a lot of twists and turns, but is easy enough to understand once you get all the details.

The rest of the story (the MCs, the side couples, etc) all feel like just B and C plots, but the cousin/real brother x FL's friend's side plot feels like it could've been a separate, interesting webnovel. The MCs are more disappointing since they feel like more of a standard meet-cute B plot, but at least they're decently likable characters. FL is gives me "strong independent woman" vibes, while ML is just silly and sweet. Their relationship is too side ship-y and advances too fast, but it's cute.

This webnovel has quite a few issues and probably doesn't deserve a 5* rating, but I feel that it deserves a higher rating than 2.5 so I'll leave my review to bring the rating up. <<less

3.5 stars

It's true that this feels like a parody of those complicated wealthy family relationships in webnovels. However, based on author's notes on several chapters where they stress that they are a newbie writer, it clearly wasn't the intention. Basically, the plot points just keep happening one after another with no breather moments in-between. Also, the family relationship is REALLY complicated, but the author kinda failed to use that more in the story. The family conflicts were dealt with in a manner that is so basic that it doesn't fit... more>> the complexity of the relationships. I would also like to point out that the author kept on adding spoilers to the author's notes at the end of chapters. They also like to explain in the author's notes why certain characters react a certain way instead of putting it in the actual chapter. Why not just add it explicitly in the story???

The early romance tag is also very prominent here. There's no journey taken, just straight out finish line. The MC and ML confirmed the relationship so quickly and their relationship progressed just as quickly.

Anyway, I still had fun reading this despite the absurdities so I'd give it a 3.5 that had to be rounded off to 4 stars here in NU. <<less

I read the MTL which was a little difficult to understand at times, but if you stick through, you can. The story is, I felt, a sort of parody of rich family children switched because the FL here and the family members don't act like the characters from such a novel. In fact, they are very rational, judging the situation and then reacting to it and the only characters who are OTT are caricatures of the trope characters from such novels. The love story between the ML and the FL... more>> are well written and they come out as a normal couple. Even her friends have good stories, each of them are very mature and act like a normal person and not someone from a novel, if you get what I mean. The novel is short and the translator is very good so give it a try. <<less
