ML is annoying. I remember how I dropped this a long time ago and now dropping it again. It was cuz ML sexualized a dog. Nope. Bestiality is a big no for me. I have read more questionable morals but this is just NO.

Never really finished it just bothers.

Sometimes I think author theses days focus too much on the MC and forget about the ML when they write these novels. ML need to be considerate or have (Good) reasons for his actions. If he make him tr*sh like these and screwing MC over it leave a bad taste in readers mouth. Unfortunately this was of those cases where ML was tr*sh and didn't even consider MC's feelings and acted extremely selfish. Started off well but midway it crashed miserably.

I had originally not planned on writing a review on this novel, but after many months of coming back to reread only to see new negative reviews, I’ve decided to provide some words of defense.

I really enjoyed this novel. I still enjoy it. Sometimes, I suddenly remember a specific arc from this and can’t be relieved until I come back to reread it. I’ve notice one consistent point of attack in the bad reviews, which is that the arcs aren't notable or memorable. I suppose it depends on your tastes, but I found that I loved all the arcs and nothing was too rushed or too dragged out.

Honestly, I’m in complete agreement with some of the reviewers here. I, too, shipped the MC with the original protagonist on many many occasions. Maybe I just have bad taste.

Anyway, I don’t really write reviews anymore, but maybe I’ll update this to a full detailed review when I have the time? Who knows. For now, I’ll just focus on taking this in for the hundredth time and loving every second of it. Give it a shot, it might be worth your time. <<less

I can't continue reading this novel..

ML- If you like reading about mentally demented sadists then you'll love this lovely rapist and potential zoophile ML (And most other MLs since authors can't seem to understand what consent is.) 눈_눈
The ML is supposed to be the scheming and playful gong archetype but he is to much of a scum for that.
The novel goes through many mental gymnastics to justify the MLs inexcusable actions.

MC - Typical boring princess shou who can't seem to do anything but get sweeped up
their feet by their prince charming ML. I don't mind power fantasies and Gary sues
but the MC is something else. Not to mention how ridiculously s*upid and naive he his.
Its suppose to make the MC look all cute and innocent but he just gives me brain aneurysms.

Their Relationship - The MC seems to resist the ML in the beginning but after continuous harassment and abuse caused by the ML the MC simply gives into him. Its non con, an abusive relationship where the ML ignores the MCs every wish and plea, simply doing whatever he wants usually to the detriment of the MC.

Side Characters - 100% more likeable than the MC and ML, even the villains.

Plot - The first arc was acceptable everything after that was a downhill battle. It supposedly gets better in the end but I'm not a masochist to continue reading this novel.

Either you rage quit or it simply gets too boring to continue reading.

At first the novel was good as the MC was working hard to achieve the goal and so and the ML was arrogantly possessive with thought like dosen't matter what I do as later the MC will be noding with his s*upidity like a head less chicken and which does happen.

Half of the way in the novel it seems as if the MC is in this novel just to show how great the ML is. More than supporting role that MC 's character should be he is becomes a happy to be stepping stone for other characters to achieve goal. It came to the point where I cannot tolerate this anymore.

The first Arc is simply cute. I drop this somewhere around the 3rd or 4th arc, cause I just hate where it's going.

I love the MC and the system interaction, but that's it.

This would be a great story if the ML isn't a nonsensical human being.

Ahhh!!! So good! I dont usually read yaoi, but this! Simply a masterpiece. I dont feel disgusted at all. It flows so naturally to me. Kudos to the author and translator for the job well done ?

For this first three arcs, this series is hilarious. The sweet, innocent MC tries his hardest to follow along the plot for each of these settings and act as an appropriate love rival, but the male lead keeps screwing him over by pursuing him instead of the female lead. Although the male lead is the "hero, " he's definitely not a good guy. I love how funny and action-filled all of these scenarios are. The character development progresses smoothly, and I love how the relationship between the MC and his... more>> system, 5237, grow closer as they are united against the wicked male lead. I caught up to the most recent chapters in one sitting. Very fun.

And then, things change.

The first s*x scene occurs in chapter 4.12, and the MC literally tries to run away. The consent is dubious at best. There are excuses made in various arcs to force the MC to have s*x with the ML, including inner demons in a cultivation arc, being destined mates, being the ML's pet, etc. There are numerous cases where consent is highly questionable or the MC tries to escape his "punishment." The ML chases him down. Although the MC tries to protect himself, he often complains of being too sore and having to recover afterward.

The ML is extremely possessive and full of rage. Although he claims to love the MC, I don't see any signs of what I would refer to as love. He's merely extremely possessive and aggressive to the point of wanting to isolate the MC from everyone else. He eventually begins to cooperate with the MC and stop torturing him and putting his life in danger as often. He can be tender at times and apologize, but he's still a relationship nightmare who should be purged. Lust and rage are all he exists for. He was fine as a villain, but he's revolting as the ML.

The MC is artificial and has no feelings for anything other than his creator and the ML. Although he later learns to become affectionate to the ML, their relationship mostly consists of him consenting to the ML's overbearing and unreasonable treatment of him. Rather than a person of his own, he's more of a doll the ML wants to harass. I wouldn't consider his feelings toward the ML to be love either.

The only detail that makes this less bad is the fact that

neither character is human. The ML is also artificial and created with intense feelings. Unfortunately, the Creator forgot to put any compassion, kindness, sorrow, or any other emotions in him except for rage. Essentially, the nonhuman ML attacks the nonhuman MC and forces the nonhuman MC to have s*x with him all the time. Meanwhile, the MC can't refuse the ML because the ML comes from his master. It kinda feels like a mind-control thing is going on.

The good news is the settings are interesting. The plots for each world could have more cunning and details involved since they are fairly weak and straightforward, but the settings are interesting. Unfortunately, the ML generally takes care of everything.

At the end, things change yet again.

The writer doesn't even complete everything she's writing. A couple of arcs are randomly interrupted. The main plot comes to an abrupt and unsatisfying end. Then, extras are thrown in to complete the abandoned arcs, but those endings are even more unsatisfying. The ending was altogether fairly disappointing.

I originally rated the first three arcs as a 5. Once the r*pe and abuse began, I dropped to to a 3 or 4. With the weak endings, I'm giving this series a finally review of a 3. It could have been much better. <<less

The author is really good at making me cry. And Shen Hua (the translator) is really good at translating!

The author creates a wonderous juxtaposition of tragedy, romance, and comedy. Despite knowing how each arc will turn out, I still find myself drawn into each chapter and getting my emotions tossed around. I honestly cried like a baby then laughed like a fool within a span of five minutes.

Highly recommended, even if you don't read BL.

The ML is the forceful, annoying type I do not like, he messes up the job of the MC with no consideration to the MC who is only trying to do his job of playing as the supporting ML, I think there was an arc he partially helped MC do his job and it was ok? But most of the time he messes up the plot so bad the MC just gave up trying to play his role as the supporting male lead

2. I persevered reading until arc 8, where I just learned from the reviewers that it's like a turning point of the story, but at the start of reading that arc, it was so pessimistic for me I just cannot read on and just dropped it entirely

3. The MC doesn't know the charm he has, I think even without the ML he'll be able to mess the plot slightly but will still have some hope to putting it back in order, but with the possessive ML in the mix uhh prepare for chaos🫠

I don't understand why after a year, when I come back to read again and happened to pass by the comment section, almost all are tragic--- I mean negative. What on earth. It's like I read the wrong story before lol.

This novel is amazing. Both strength and weaknesses balance each other. Definitely worth the read!

MC and ML didn't achieve the agreement of cooperating to each other. MC is too pitiful. He was force by ML and he also can't obtain many points since ML keep ruining the job.

But it's actually fine at first. But midway to the end of the story, it's totally ruined for me. The world they enter didn't have any story at all. They did what they want. Their own story is also bland.

now the last thing is THE TRANSLATION, I really LOVE this translator and the editors they did such a great job with this novel and their little notes throughout the novel are a delight! My ratings are actually 3.5 it was nothing unforgettable or boring. Actually I had put this book on hold after reading the reviews and seeing the tragedy tag (honestly tradegy tag should be removed because upto where I have read there nothing of a tradegy). So the reason for me writing a review is for you to give this a fair chance (because I was hesitant).

Now before reading the book you need to be extremely clear on the MC and Ml's character and a bit about the character settings:

1. ML: selfish, bit insensitive, possessive, a bit tsundere, loves the MC, very gentle to MC
2. Mc: naive, EQ of a 3 yr old, stubborn, kind hearted (more like a holy father), pure, cute, silly.
3. Now after getting to the the characters nature you should understand that what would happen to a romance of a Gentle Scheming Selfish Gong and a Simple Naive Kind-hearted Shou
4. Well ML wasn't manipulative but knew how to and where to use his mind and the softheartedness of the MC
5. Romance for MC was gradually getting used to the ML's presence.
6. For ML it was intrest and then after seeing the MC'S pure personality he fell in love.
7. ML will be insensitive specially in the starting.
8. For anyone who thinks that the MC was too cold to ML then please tell me what should you expect from a person who is not even a human but kinda a bunch of data.
9. Even after falling in love emotions was always a rather complex subject for MC.
10. I don't think ML wanting to capture MC was wrong but him seeing the MC as a toy is a bit in the starting was a bit..
11. Don't worry him seeing the MC as a toy was just for a very short amount of time.
12. In the middle of reading you will understand ML being extremely lonely and bored and his approch.

Finished this awhile ago, if not for my good memory, this would be quite forgettable. Frankly, it's uninteresting, MC is irritating. Just cause you're a shou doesn't mean you gats to be useless or s*upid. And gongs don't always have to be sick in the head. How about a healthy dynamic once in a while. I did kind of like this novel at first, and it has some pretty interesting worlds, but the ending was really anticlimactic. And, although I liked some of their tragic endings for the first arcs, the worlds got particularly boring later on in my opinion.

Many plots being referred to the arcs (that's creative).

Repetitive plot being the main plot of the main story and between the Characters. The ML and MC enters an arc together. ML pursues MC. MC plays hard to get, ML destroys plots (even tho at a point, those two qualities reduced). They enters a relationship. Plots reversed. Sleeps with each other. Dies together. Idk if you get what I'm trying to say, but all these qualities are recycling to me. I admit it was what made me get more interested in it at first. But at a point it, gets tiring and boring.

Those arcs are different plots and stories but the couple relationship, progress and endings is Still the same (at least, to me).

I don't have really problems with their personality especially the ML (kinda have kinks for a**holes Ml). Although, I have to say, sometimes, his actions get too overbearing and unnecessary.

As for their relationship, idr know.... The ML pursued the MC from the start cause of love but the feeling wasn't mutual. It later progressed tho, the MC started liking him too. But what I'm not clear on is the MC feelings, it's like he just gave it to the ML approaches. What I'm trying to say is, the MC likes the Ml, sure. But was the feeling really mutual? Was it love he really felt? Dunno. And judging from my current read, who knows if the feelings would increase...

Prbly if I can endure to finish this arc, I'll quit.

Now, the MC in animal arc. It's kinda uncomfortable. Thank Goodness they didn't indulge in anything too s*xual (yeah, a bit s*xual quality there and consideration). Maybe if a warning was placed in the arc or maybe included as a tag. I was planning to skip it if anything had happened. In as much as I find pleasures in forbidden stuffs, I haven't reached bestiality level. I find it cringey and in my opinion, animal abuse and disgusting. I hate the act extremely.
