The thousand-year-old ghost Ren Li has always been the final boss in the last level of the escape game “Dream Control”. But one day, he suddenly became a player, breaking his way through with humans.

In the game dungeon, Ren Li educates various bosses, slaps players who have bad intentions, and blinds everyone with various simple actions.

But… there is always a person, no matter how cruel Ren Li is, he will remain unmoved, and even dare to hold him and act like a baby.

That person is Pei Jingling.

interesting dynamics bc it is the shou who chases the protagonist. Pei Jingling is so coquettish and shameless, but Ren Li can’t control him so he just bursts a nerve (in the beginning) and gets used to the hugs.

As of ch 112, there isn’t much info on it, but there is a backstory to why Ren Li was a ghost prior to the start of the novel and there is history between the two (which is why Jingling tries his best to seduce Ren Li as quick... more>> as possible). Jingling can’t tell the reason outright bc Ren Li will go into S level ghost officer mode and berserk, so we can only guess the reasons behind

It looks like Ren Li was a top player before and raised/taught the newbie Jingling. They fell in love, but Ren Li failed the final S level so he became the ghost executive officer in charge for thousands of years. Jingling decided to spend the thousands of years in dungeons to grind enough points to “wish” Ren Li back to life, but he can’t let him know about the past bc Ren Li will go ghost mode. So he just acts like an unreasonable baby who wants to be spoiled by Ren Li, which works since Ren Li does fall in love with him again.

The development of Ren Li’s feelings and how he starts to care for Jingling is entertaining since he is starts from being annoyed by Jingling’s “lies” but fulfills his ‘shameless’ request anyway to faking indifference but happily enjoying time with Jingling.

overall, fun read to see smart, coquettish shou teaching our indifferent MC the ropes -> gentle MC retelling cold shou the rules when he temporarily loses his memory. <<less

Giving it 5* because why not?

It's unfortunately not complete yet. I read till chapter 114 to get the gist of what happened but I think the author want to redo the progress and the plot that's going on in the way of mobius ring.

here's a simple walk through of what happened. The story started with ren li a man that believed he's a ghost that's lived 1000 years as an executive of s level instance, waking up in an e level instance. Long short story, he managed to get until level a instance, before his boyfriend pei jingling managed to take him out of dream control game to real world, where they encountered a bad situation of being hunted by people who knows about dream control (basically all government and people up there who control the country and such). Anyway pei jingling died, and so mobius ring happen and they started over but this time everything ren li has been through is just a dream and he started as human being in an F level instance. It's a bit F, but weirdly enough ren li still maintained his ghostly characteristic of red eyes so I thought that maybe there's more to this. Unfortunately, the author last update is December last year so I don't know if this will continue or not. Yeah, F

Anyway, I enjoy the dynamic between the two, so for my enjoyment giving it 5* (more like 4.2/4.3 but whatever) <<less

Its somewhat uncommon to have a gong protagonist in BL, and even more uncommon for the shou to be the one chasing after the gong. Even if it's different from what I usually read, I really like it! They're both smart and competent people, with opposing personalities that complement each other. There's quite a lot of foreshadowing about MC and ML's past relationship, so the mystery is quite exciting ^^

(I'm writing this from memory, so it might not be very accurate and I could be forgetting some things)

    • Ren Li suddenly woke up from being the executive officer of a S-class dungeon to a player in an E-class instance, where he meets Pei Jingling, who keeps sticking to him.
    • Players can use the points they get from dungeons to exchange for any wish. During the 2nd arc (?), a mother said that she only needed a few more points to cure her child's cancer. She's weak, so the points needed probably isn't a lot.
    • Players can wish for anything, but the points needed for each wish changes drastically depending on what it is. During the 1st arc (?), a player tells Ren Li that it may be possible to "wish" someone back from the dead, but the points needed is so outragous that nobody can possibly afford it.
    • During the end of the 1st arc, Pei Jingling said they might never meet again, but they end up in the same instance in the next arc. (Refer to point 7; soul contract)
    • During the 2nd arc, one of the characters mentioned that they encountered Pei Jingling in a previous instance a few years ago where he killed 400 (?) people, and the guy was killed a total of 7 times. Something must have happened in between that made Pei Jingling's body very weak.
    • During the 2nd arc, Ren Li almost turned into a ghost (?) when Pei Jingling talked about them being lovers in a past life. Ren Li turned back after Pei Jingling said he was just joking. After the game ends, Pei Jingling meets the executive of the instance, who mocked Pei Jingling for crying and being distraught over Ren Li, and for his (now) weak body.
    • During the 3nd arc, a lady talked about "soul contracts", where both players can enter the same dungeons and if one person died, the other can use their own life to save them (?). The contract leaves a mark on both players' chest, but Ren Li can't find any on himself or Pei Jingling.
    • During the 3rd arc, Ren Li and Pei Jingling met a former acquaintace, who came over to "hug Pei Jingling's thighs". The man seems to know both of them, but Ren Li doesn't remember him at all. He settles down after Pei Jingling whispers something to him.
    • I'll add more if I remember.

During the entire story, Pei Jingling is just really tight-lipped about his past, and seems to know Ren Li really well. He is physically weak, with the tendency to overwork his body. He also tries really hard to finish all the tasks in order to get a lot of points.

The beginning seems pretty nice! Unlike the synopsis the ML is not a sticky white lotus. I look forward to this being translated. From the translator's other series it seems that they update pretty regularly!

From the title I have suspicions that ML is also a ghost turned human! So excitingg. The dynamic seems to be like a lazy sly guy and our wonderful MC!
