There was no light in the dark of night, only war drums sounded and war cries shouted. A young man listened carefully, it was his heart beating and blood flowing.

What lies hidden in the darkness ahead? Is it a man, a god, or…a monster?

No path could be the best, for infinite are the journeys possible underfoot!

The new work written by the creator of Reverend Insanity (Daoist Gu).
I really have mixed feelings about this work, because since the author is prohibited from updating new RI chapters in Qidian, he decided to write a new novel (Unlimited Bloodstone).

I am sure this will be a novel that touches the soul, although I am not sure if it could surpass RI.
But I am going to trust the words that the author said about this new project. Describing it as a better planned and designed novel than RI.

Well,... more>> speaking of the novel, this one is set in a western world of swords and magic.
Unlike RI where the MC (Fang Yuan) is someone who walks the demonic path that also in other words could be said to be a villain, in Unlimited Bloodstone the protagonist clearly is not a "villain" (yet?).
Another point to keep in mind is that the story is definitely going to be incredibly deep, be it in the plot, characters, character development, and world construction.

For us readers of RI we know the incredible complexity and depth with which RI is written, whether in characters, relationships, cultivation system, geographical and political situation, life teachings. They make it into one of the best novels on this site.

So I hope this is a great read and a new adventure. <<less

The MC lacks agency and is like a leaf blown in the wind, constantly victimized, repeatedly saving himself at the last second due to deus ex-machina.

Add to that how the author loves to pad out his writing with long-winded internal monologues analyzing the current crap situation and blah-blah explanations about possible strategies and I couldn't help but start to skip large sections of text (and even nearly whole chapters) in the hope of seeing crap situations improve (as of chap 63: still total crap and only getting worse).

Some details:

Spoiler

The MC has amnesia and has his powers mega-gimped as a result. The main deus ex-machina is that whenever things get really dire, he suddenly remembers something of his past and can then start using another new super-power, out of nowhere. (His super powers don't even make sense in the normal scheme of things on his world, but his amnesia is supposed to make up for this and create 'mystery').

This makes the tension of his predicaments super annoying, since you know that no matter how dire things get, he will get some new super power at the last minute anyway, so the tension is super fake, and the subsequent win is basically unearned (dumbass 'hero' gets in trouble, but gets saved by perfect-timing-new-power, again and again and again).

The MC and his weak side-kicks are stuck on an island full of monsters, where the island even teleports them randomly from time to time. It is yet another example of how they have no agency. Fleeing from monsters without hope of success? No problem: teleport at the last possible second! Successfully starting to get a handle on your section of the island? Ha! That's boring, we need the MC to constantly be victimized, so quickly teleport into a sandstorm and separate everyone, destroying all accumulated progress!!!

Constantly you'll have the MC and his fiancee telling each other "Go! Leave me! Save yourself!", only to have the other answer "No! I will stand by you!". It is lame from the very start since they have no real reason to go that far for each other (one has near-total amnesia, the other is just a money/power-grubbing merchant, both are products of a scummy Xianxia world), so when it gets repeated every 5 (short if you exclude internal monologues) chapters it just continues to sound ultra fake.

[collapse]

All-in-all, even though it is better than most CN novels (and far better than most JP novels), I found it extremely annoying. <<less

From the creator of Reverend Insanity, his new novel and retribution, possibly? So far its rather boring, then again there are only 3 chapters translated so far, considering the success of Reverend Insanity I have high expectations.

Notes from author,

The updates will be slower. This novel is quite different from most novels, as quality will be the main focus over quantity here. Since the composition is too precise, there could even be adjustment periods. During these periods, new chapter updates might stop, as I will go through the editing process. Basically every now and then for this novel, I will be returning to previous chapters to do repair/editing. I might add new plotlines in previous chapters, or might even change a character's narrations/actions. I will give a heads up on every change I make.

Important things must be repeated three times.

Finally, if everyone is satisfied from reading, please do vote.

<<Reverend Insanity>> cannot do without the support of you all, and the new book <<Unlimited Bloodstone>> needs your help even more.

One will need even more patience when reading <<Unlimited Bloodstone>>, for you will find new surprises with every read. Every character will have their own unique interesting, brilliant features -- they will be like dazzling fireworks, brightening up the black night. <<less

Starting 80 or so chapters are kinda slow and boring but it becomes better and interesting.

And then plot twist comes and boom!

And hooked.

... more>> I dropped it at my first time because I was expecting another Reverend Insanity.

But I changed my mind because of Author's notes

𝗔 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝘂 𝗭𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗻 (𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿)

How I feel about my work: This is a challenge

The new book Infinite Bloodcore is now available and it has already been 6 years since Reverend Insanity released.

Time is like a knife that carves the faces and hearts of every person.

6 years ago when I started writing Reverend Insanity, I was unmarried. 6 years later, I have a family and a son in kindergarten.
My time writing Reverend Insanity gave me ample writing experience as well as many important enlightenment.

During those 6 years, I read and found many outstanding books. I am thankful to my fellow writers, during those 6 years, online literary masterpieces could be found everywhere and they were my spiritual food.

Besides online writing, I also read the classics. I sleeplessly read The Moon and the Sixpence, wept tragically over The Little Prince, and repeatedly read and sighed over The Red and the Black. I also read professional composition textbooks like What is Writing, Narratology, A Guide on How to Create a Movie, amongst others.

I created a system to privately assess myself to these quality stories. I call it the Three Standards, it covers both webnovels and traditional literature.

I also began to have a new understanding of how beautiful novels were.

6 years ago before I started writing Reverend Insanity, I followed the three golden rules. They were fast updates, conflict, belief, etc. After 6 years, I feel that a writer should have more room to write comfortably.

Reverend Insanity being banned was an important trial for me. Because when I wrote my book, regardless of how it performed, I was never a eunuch. I do my best to finish every book because I love writing itself and I treat every book as my own child. I never want to see any of my children die prematurely.

Of all my books, I felt differently about Reverend Insanity because it was my old dream.

It is still banned and forced to be a eunuch.

This made me feel severe pain. When it happened, I felt isolated from the world, I felt I was alone in a boundless darkness, and I felt I was constantly falling down a boundless cliff.

During that time, I experienced the greatest tribulation of my writing career.

This experience forced me to question my own heart. It made me see things from a new angle, it made me examine the relationship between me and my readers, the relationship between me and my writing platform, and the relationship between me and my country’s society.

I began to face up to my influence, I began to reflect over how families and society should assume responsibility. I also began to mull over the relationship between webnovels and traditional literature.

Over the past 6 years, I gradually began to feel that the art of literature contains webnovels. Webnovels contain value, not simply business value, but proper literary value. Just like how good movies are not necessarily big sellers and how box office sellers are not necessarily good movies.

Compared to the updating digital works that are flourishing, I wished even more that I could create a book that could resist the erosion of time.

Under this reflection, I decided to write Infinite Bloodcore.

To tell you the truth, this is a difficult challenge.

I will try to take the best of how outstanding movies or stage productions structure themselves and merge them to create a fine and integrated webnovel that conforms completely with itself.
I will try to merge the strong parts of traditional literature into a webnovel. For example, the unearthing of human nature and reflecting about the world.

I will try to meticulously describe my written characters, portray the landscape, and detail the changes in how the characters feel.
I will try to completely unify the important themes, set ups, plot, and characters together to give Infinite Bloodcore a soul.

This is my first attempt.

Because of nervousness, and knowing that I am small and weak, I made a lot of preparations.

In order to outline Infinite Bloodcore, I spent two months planning it out.

As for the outline, I have already made 5 or 6 emergency adjustments to the first book’s outline

Apart from this, I have read many things pertaining to organisms. Such as natural history, worldwide Animal Encyclopedias, wildlife illustrations, animal dynasties, and other outstanding documentaries, as well as picture books of shapeshifting and supernatural animals, like the Pokemon Ultimate Handbook, World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons, Monster Hunter, and much more. I had outstanding results in mixing reality, fiction, and the classics. I believe that everyone has felt this in the upgraded literary work.

In order to write a good survival plot, I watched Bear Grylls and also know of Ed Stafford. I also brushed up on Robinson Crusoe again.

Because my novel involves medieval Europe, I decided to read European history, The Age of Knights——Medieval Europe, and The History of Medieval Life.

Among these, I emphasised researching the institution of noble coat of arms, how castles were built, how that world dressed, referenced pictures of foregin buildings like medieval castles, and studied how medieval folklore traveled the world, etc.
Recently this week, I began to research ships, especially European Galleons. The History of Sailboats, Conversations about the Development of Sailing Around the World, and The Principles of Shipbuilding were all read.

I tried to fill my webnovel with detail. Most of the previous details, even if it is a fantasy book, are from real things, so it can seem more realistic.

Speaking of which, I also hesitated on things.

Previous writing experience told me that the main reason people were opening my new book was because I was writing a lead similar to Fang Yuan. Magical fantasies are actually very similar to Xian Xias. I have many descriptions of farm plots in Reverend Insanity. This kind of writing is not tiring and conforms with the expectations of book readers. At the same time, it is something I am an expert in and I wouldn’t need to worry about eating.

The other alternative was to try to create something new. I know it is risky. Compared to using a new power system, creating a new genre is far riskier. Because this time, I would be using a different writing logic.

I do not know the result of this choice and I am prohibited to guess it. But I know book readers will have a change, a portion will feel I have changed and would not feel good about it, the numbers might also look terrible. The numbers might look terrible.....

But in the end, I still picked the second choice.

Because I was worried that if I picked the first option, I would never leave my comfort zone.

Finally, what compelled me to pick the second choice was an understanding——I am no longer young.

Young companions, I have already been writing for many years.
Previously, I regularly pulled all-nighters like it was nothing. If I stay up now, I would be unable to get up the next day.

When I sit for over half an hour, my back will ache.

I also have rhinitis. Every season it will torture me.

When I play games now, I cannot react in a timely manner. In shooters, my hand is also unsteady. I used to be gold in Overwatch, but now I am bronze, I used to play Dota in college, now I occasionally play Heroes of the Storm as I recall my youthful memories.

Hearthstone, Plants V.S Zombies, these types of games suit me more and more.

I have witnessed my older relatives pass away, I saw my parents rapidly age, I saw my son quickly grow up, and I felt the wind of time echoing more and more in my ears. Like my hand grasping sand, I do my best to hold it tight, yet it flows away ever quicker.

Whenever I can’t sleep late at night, I feel a ball of fire burning more and more in my greasy belly, it is burning my wizened bones like firewood.

This ball of fire makes my stomach rumble with hunger.

This ball of fire makes me panic and irritable.

I know this ball of fire is my literary dream.

In the event I compromise because I am afraid of the unknown, seek for the so-called dependable, and pick the first option.
Afterwards, how many years will I have left?

My youth is far gone, I no longer have time I can calmly squander.
I am not a young person anymore, my young companions.

Yet my past literary dreams still continue to burn fiercely. I genuinely sensed a desire to create, I wanted to create something in accordance to my heart and it pushed me.

This time, I decided to take a risk!

I set aside my youth for Reverend Insanity, now I entrust my pursuit of literature to Infinite Bloodcore.

In fact, many people advised me to be safe, to consult the divines. Taking such a big step would likely sprain my feet and destroy my egg.

Thank you all of you for your consideration.

I force a smile.

Before those 6 years, I looked at the gurus, I looked at platinum, I was very envious as I looked up.

Today, after those 6 years, especially after going through Reverend Insanity, after the ban, I am indifferent to all of those things.
Of course, I am also vulgar, I am also a person, and I also want to make a living.

Divinity is something I also want.

But I understand: It is something I am not pursuing and it should never become my shackles.

Having divinity is very good, even if it never comes to pass.

I wish to be just a small writer that stubbornly pursues and gradually expands his literary dream. This dream had wealth and vulgarity, but now it contains more pertaining to literature.
Like in The Moon and the Sixpence, I picked up a coin off the ground, got up, raised my head, and reached out my hand. This time..... I want to reach the moon.

This is what the bottom of my heart says.

Thus, Infinite Bloodcore is an important challenge for me.

I am determined to challenge my writing style, my writing structure, I want to test and practice my new writing philosophy.
During the past few months and up until now, I have done everything in my power for this.

Again, I have to be honest, I have no choice but to tell everyone, as I have said in my preface, this will also be a challenge to you all.

Because this time, I am using the philosophy I created, my writing logic has already changed, as a result Infinite Bloodcore does not have the three golden rules nor does it follow the distinctive tempo of webnovels. However you will see a more refined and unified story structure, you will see a huge volume of foreshadowing that conforms from beginning to end, you may be caught off guard many times, but when carefully thinking about it, you will find the story reversal very rational.

Because the story structure is created like a film or a play, Infinite Bloodcore will not follow the usual straight and assembly line structure, it is unlikely that when the main character levels up, he will continue doing the same thing as before. It is more like a screenplay with each book being a stage. For example the first stage is the island, thus the book reader asks, why are they still on the island, why are they still stuck in the novice village? I am very sorry, the concept of the novice village originated from games and was later applied to webnovels. That concept does not exist in this book. The entire first book will be on the island.

Because of my pursuit of literary value, I will use many exquisite words. Without exquisitely writing the surrounding scenery, there will be no style. Without exquisitely writing the mentality of the characters, one cannot explore human nature. And when I actively explore human nature, a problem will come up——it is easy to denounce. Thus this book is just as risky. In this aspect, I believe everyone has already experienced it.

>!Lan Zao and Huang Zao, the miserable fate of these two brothers is my exploration of human nature where I question the significance of life via torture. The main character Zhen Jin, he has a characteristic that is different from the majority of web novel leads, he has an abundant mind, he constantly ponders and questions the process of his heart, this is also how I excavate human nature and develop the value of my literature.!<

The above defines the climax of Infinite Bloodcore, it is something different from most webnovels. The typical climax involves the sullen venting of feelings and people stamping on those they despise, Infinite Bloodcore has that, however the true climax lies in the exploration of human nature and the investigation in how people should interact with each other. Thus the first climax takes place from chapter 66-70.

I can’t help but admit that as the author of Infinite Bloodcore, this is a challenge.

Readers familiar with webnovels will surely be challenged too.
I request everyone reading to have a bit of patience, a bit of understanding, and reduce your typical expectations a little.
A friendly reminder——when reading the first book when it is completed, you will easily find that Infinite Bloodcore has a distinct flavor. Of course, the current chapters are well developed, reading until just chapter 70 can allow you to touch a corner of Infinite Bloodcore’s soul.

If you see these things, believe my writing is good, or perhaps look forward to a different webnovel work, I ask you to genuinely support me!

Currently Infinite Bloodcore is in its starting phase.

On Friday, 5/15, it will be an official work.

Every genuine experience will firmly support and encourage me.
I especially need your support.

Because I know that not many readers will accept this challenge and there will be only a few that succeed. The taste of this is a bit on the high side, only a handful of people will like it.
I especially thirst to write this time. The challenge I write can succeed.

If Infinite Bloodcore succeeds, it will have great significance!
It can allow me to see a new road, it can let me create better writing methods that can create more depth, more essence, and more wonderful novels. In addition, it means this novel certainly has a place in the marketplace that allows me to continue eating and living.

Perhaps it can also let other authors see and walk this road, they could create even more wonders that combine business and literary value, that would be wonderful!

Since starting this book, I have had fewer tickets.
This time, I want to request from everyone that if you approve of this novel, I ask you support me through recommending it and monthly tickets.

Currently this is the biggest requirement of this book. On Friday at 12 noon, vip chapters will be released, it only needs 10 yuan, but it will be important to the book.

After all nowadays, wine fragrant is also afraid of the dark alleys.
I know many people are holding off on this book, it is now gradually entering its most enjoyable stage and is already worth seeing.

Of course continuing to hold off until there is enough to look at is also reasonable.

If you love it, I ask you to love it dearly!

Salutations and thank you, Gu Zhen Ren

A very promising novel by the author of Reverend Insanity, the word count of each chapter heavily varies as the author now concentrates mainly on the consistency of quality rather than the consistency of quantity. Recently the novel has hit quite the high climax, similar to the epic of moments of Reverend Insanity. But it is important to differentiate the two novels because they are fundamentally different. In this novel, the MC is completely different and seems to be discovering himself as the novel continues, rather than having a fully... more>> developed character right at the start, which allows for important an interesting character development. I'll probably update this review after another few hundred chapters, however macklinrw's review highlights exactly everything that could be said about this novel. <<less

I really don't get people hating on this for being slow. Like, really?

First of all, xianxia/wuxia/xuanhuan novels can and will easily go to 1800+ chapters which you might expect, is some slow build up and world building and plenty of time for characterization. Which was what I expected as well before actually reading such novels.

When I finally read a xianxia novel, I was disappointed. Wasted time for world building, plot going too fast like a racecar on crack, and no character development. An overall disaster. But then I had doubts... more>> and thought, "Maybe it's only because it's xianxia that it's that way, I'll try to read wuxia then.".

And so I did. And once again, it was disappointing. Brainless main character, fights after fights after fights. Conspiracies that might as well be Earth is Flat theorists, and just a load of nonsense. No explanations, only gains and fights. Disappointing.

So I came to the last choice I had. Xuanhuan. Honestly xuanhuan was a bit of a question mark for me. A blank spot in my knowledge. So when I read my first xuanhuan novel, I actually had fun. Reading chinese folklore that I didn't know about, unknown circumstances, and mysterious enemies. I wasn't hooked, but I thought to myself, "Huh, I think I can go back to this genre.".

And you might say, "Oh maybe you just read a shitty xianxia/wuxia novel and just happened to stumble on a good xuanhuan novel.". Well if you can only stumble on sh*t novels frequently for a genre, that ought to say something about you not me. Because you're likes and dislikes are what's making the authors write that way.

But anyways, I'm thankful I came back to xuanhuan. I was skeptical before reading this. I read the reviews and although I know more than just relying on reviews, I read it anyway and found out that there were plenty who said that this was very slow and etc. And I was shocked. Because for me, having a slow build up for 1800+ chapters is why you should be reading xianxia/wuxia/xuanhuan. And to those who said that this was slow, thank you. Because reading those reviews got me interested and hardened my resolve to invest my time on this. And reading this, was a pleasure.

I also got to know that the one who wrote this was the author of Reverend Insanity which somewhat increased my expectations for the novel. And my expectations were fulfilled.

An interesting main character, beginning circumstances that were neither fast nor slow, great build up for world building and a good side crew. I was hooked. It's like seeing a toy across a glass panel when you were a kid and wanting to get it only to come back a few years later and see that it's still there. This novel made me smile and reminisce my original intentions. It's a nostalgic trip and I really hope for more novels like this to come.

There seems to be more to the character's identity and the world as a whole, but I will wait for the translation to get the best out of this novel. <<less

Spoiler

MC is just a stand-in not the real zhen jin which collapse all my expectations toward the MC and zidi betrayal to the real zhen jin. though mc's still the same but I just can't accept it when he did something extraordinary I don't feel proud or excited for him. He's just a nobody, no background, no name nothing. I can't see his interesting character anymore (my interesting character isn't just personality but identity). Not only that the author repeatly using the same paragraph as flashbacks, for example the entire dozen chapter is about zidi flashbacks with almost the same text of previous chapter except her little perspectives. After escape from the island the story is not interesting to me any more. It just pure exploring. You can skip a dozen of chapter and you will be fine there's nothing significant

The goal of the MC is to protect his companion and find out his previous identity. if you attach to the MC from start to end you will have a great time reading this which obviously I am not. In the first half of v1 is purely survival of the MC and conscience of human which interested me more

I dropped this story after chapter 335. if I persist I might find the turning point and real story but continue reading is just a torment, it violated my rules of continue reading; 1st interesting story 2nd I like the character. which at the current chapter, it lack both of my rules <<less

Gu Zhen Ru?...🤔🤔 Why?...i like this author. The no, 1 author of CN fantasy novels. Or top 1 light Novel author. Lucky me, I read all the tr*sh novel first and got RI (Gu Zhen Ru Novel's) as a recommendation. And guess what? Im sick of others cn novel.... they just don't fit me (of course if its CN comedy novel and fanfic I still reading it).

Anyway, I give this 5 rating not purely on his reputation from making RI. Its not a coincidence too, even though IB... more>> or Infinite Bloodcore, only get translated a mere 39 chapter...i already finished reading it. This novel is same as RI (Reality & Fantasy & Rasional & Logical situation & Side characters Eq and Iq is high others living thing can " think ")

No pure luck, if it is.... hahaha its just a type of energy that can be upgrade.... okey lets move one.. the MC next

MC >...🤔🤔 What should I say... the no.1 cn hero MC. He's beat all the self proclaim hero MC from other cn novels. I don't know how he do that... but he did.

All in all, this novel, not just super good for a passing time, its will give you a new experience, every action, every situation, has its own deep meaning... after you learned it.... hehehe, it will help you in real world.

Incredibly promising so far and knowing that this is by the same author behind Reverend Insanity, readers can be rest assured that this story is gonna be good- no, great and addicting. The author did mention that this story was even more though out and well-planned than Reverend Insanity so I have incredibly high hopes for this.

Are you expecting another Reverend Insanity? You'll be disappointed. Gu Zhen Ren was this author's magnum opus. His child that he was thinking about for many, many years before writing his heart out. It shows character and despite it being a web novel, shows an extremely solid amount of worldbuilding and expectations for the story. So no, Infinite Bloodcore isn't better than Reverend Insanity, but it is a great work from the same author.

Infinite Bloodcore, despite not seeming to be very out of the box or creative, is still an... more>> unconventional hero's journey sort of story. While it doesn't subvert the genre on its head, Infinite Bloodcore molds and shapes the traditional hero's story about someone who is fighting to protect their friends into something different. Each character has their train of thought, their minds are hidden from the reader and the MC. It starts as a survival story on a stranded island, but eventually changes pace here and there, turning into rivalries, politicking, and ultimately still, a survival story. There's a lot of inner introspection done on many of the characters in this series unlike Fang Yuan Reverend Insanity, who is Machiavellian and utilitarian. Infinite Bloodcore is just about survival as much as it is about ideals, convictions, and inner strife. In this story, most of the biggest decisions are made by the characters, who all have their moral compass which guides them. It is very much a character-driven story unlike RI, and it shows in the amount of time and effort put into all of the characters in the story, culminating in the conclusion of book 1 <<less

Its a great novel. It has a slow start but it gets better with every chapter the side characters have their personalities and opinions which affect and change the MC. The world building is great as we keep learning new things all the time. We also get to experience the changes that happen to the MC's personality as he explores the vast world the author has created.

A second novel from the author of Reverend Insanity (Gu daoist master),
This novel also has depth and twists, real-like characters, but the pace is one bit slower.
Even after chapter 175, I still feel that I'm not fully immersed into the novel because there's still much more of Infinite bloodcore world that's needed to be explored.
One of the major issue that stops me from immersing is that the main character is still half-baked himself with his little to none memories and all. And he finally seems to... more>> be taking a big step towards this issue.
I can feel that the more chapters come, the more I will be immersing to the plot because it has quality. <<less

This is another masterpiece from Gu Zhen.

It starts slow, but its totally worth it. I believe in the author's development of characters. I really hope it surpass Reverend Insanity.

The author suffered a lot when RI was banned and went through myriad of emotions. I want him to use all those emotions as a fuel and give us a masterpiece that transcends linguistic/cultural barriers.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

While as a whole I loved this one there were quite few issues,

The Good:

  • Liked Protagonist, he wasn't emotionless husk, had emotions and yet was still very pragmatic.
  • The twists and reveals very genuinely amazing and I didn't see them coming,
  • Most characters had some dimension to them and weren't just "Young Masters" Copy pasted over and over again.
Overall the story was good, but...

The Bad:

  • It's very slow, especially at the start,
  • Too much "Bad luck" a.k.a bad stuff randomly happening all the time
  • There were so much padding, whole chapters of "I should" "No I shouldn't" inner monologue, don't get me wrong the inner struggle is okay with me but you don't need to repeat it over and over and over again its very Redundant.
  • There was too much info repeated, giving us same information copy pasted multiple times
  • While the ending was great it was dragged for way too long, we got few "life recaps" and even same story retold from different POVS with very little added to it, then we got AGAIN same story retold from another POV with too much same useless stuff being told to us AGAIN, and then we got protagonist flashback over what happened in this volume but wait then we got a speech and protagonist told about, WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS VOLUME. FFS how many times does an author need to tell us what happened
  • And lastly a minor issue At the end of vol1.
    Spoiler

MC gets a way to kill beings that are pretty much the strongest beings in the world which was a very convenient and cheap way for author to solve one of the issues. And I also wonder how the author is either going to nerf it or prevent MC from ever being challanged

    [collapse]
The very ending while it was amazing it felt soured by being the here read what you already read for 5 times again.

It baffles me that anyone could rate this novel one or two stars. What more do you people want? While I do admit this novel has a slow start that is not necessarily a bad thing. The writing quality and story telling is superb and only gets better as the story progresses. Characters are not one dimensional robots incapable of emotions or even basic thoughts because the author makes them feel real. I'm not saying this novel is perfect but the quality of the story makes me curious about what... more>> comes next. If you like Reverend Insanity then you have to check this novel out. They're made by the same author after all but are unique in their own ways. <<less

The only regrets are impossibility to rate it higher and kill those who rate it low, it's just so good, everything is very detailed, plot is increasingly mysterious, so many schemes that I won't be able to imagine. The main difference with RI, Fang Yuan's is that Fang Yuan have already established mindset, while MC here is like newborn baby who is developing rapidly. It'll be a little disappointing if he end up like Fang Yuan, because I like light more, lol, but I will probably like this novel nonetheless.... more>> (After RI, It's actually hard to imagine for MC to not end like Fang Yuan). Actually I am afraid to read more, because what can I do if it's closed again. RI is masterpiece, but I really love this more, especially character development process, it was so far the best I have ever seen, just throw anything you are doing now away and read it, huhuhu, and be ready to cry while waiting for a new chapter on mtl. <<less

This pains me to write. A lot of people have come here and rated the novel highly before reading it out of love for Reverend Insanity.

Many thought this would fill the hole left after china stole that masterpiece from us, but this can't. It's just VERY SLOW and boring. I, any I'm sure many of the people who got as far as I have, only did so out of respect for the authors abilities and for RI.

I can somewhat feel that in the future this novel will be good, and... more>> if you stick with it for a long enough time it will get more interesting, but we shouldn't have to do that. We shouldn't have to slog though shit. <<less
