Simply bad shallow writing. In novels like this, the female lead is usually at least a little bit dense when it comes to people liking her, but this girl is simply an idiot. An example is when the prince notices another guy seems to like her and says..

"He normally doesn't talk to girls.. I didn't expect even him to fall in -...."

Then he cuts himself off. Her response?..

... more>> "Did he fall on you? Something fell out?"

... what? Not to mention the guy in question is 21 years old while she is six. Yes. SIX YEARS OLD, and after a few sentences, a 21 year old develops feelings for her. Same for all the harem guys. She just says a few things and each one has a thing for her. Even a female rival instantly switched from liking the prince and spilling wine on her to liking HER after a few comments.

It's just simply not good writing. The author more or less forces the characters into these roles with little thought to showing how or why it happens. That combined with the female lead being a doormat who can't say no to anyone just made me irritated with every chapter.

This is like a REALLY poor man's version of baka- whatever. Forgot the name. Only decent thing about this novel is that it reads DECENTLY for a MTL novel. Still not perfect, with certain sentences simply not making sense, but still somewhat better than most.

Skip this novel. <<less

If you've read Bakarina (I Reincarnated into an Otome Game as a Villainess With Only Destruction Flags) then you're going to notice a sense of deja vu a lot. It follows a very similar formula with the protagonist being reincarnated as the villainess and being determined to avoid all the death flags, only to end up inadvertently seducing every character (both male and female) she comes across while being completely oblivious to their favour for her.

It doesn't really have anything unique about it to set it apart from Bakarina, but... more>> if you want more of the same then you might find it worth reading. Otherwise, don't bother. <<less

I was reading the manga and had high hopes for this. But then I started reading the novel and at chapter 40 I just wanted to drop it. Really, I get the MC loved playing Otome games and she thinks every targets would fall in love with the game MC, but why would you push people together like that cause of your own fantasy. Not 1 but all the targets cause she wanted to see who the game MC would pick. Its like, its a game. Not a novel. Its... more>> completely different. Cause in games you pick choices while novel you follow a plot that was written unless some external factor disturbs it. So when reading the novel at chapter 40 I can see what type of MC this is. A dumb idiot. She's the same time idiot you read from other villainess novel where the idiot gets to be transmitted into the otome protagonist and thinks the world revolve around her cause she played the game before. Really. Just wanted to smack them <<less

As previous reviewers have mentioned, the overall premise is very similar to Bakarina. However, this one is significantly less enjoyable as a direct result of the main character. Both Cecilia and Katarina are dense enough to create their own black holes, but in contrast to our Bakarina, the MC in this novel has absolutely no agency. She is repeatedly kidnapped, threatened with captivity and/or forced marriage (and the accompanying r*pe), and every time, she brushes it off, blames herself, and lies to keep the perpetrator from getting into trouble.

She is... more>> completely two-dimensional, with a boring, flat personality. She doesn't get angry, she doesn't get scared, she doesn't even really get excited. She has a two-way emotional switch that waffles between stubbornly confused and meekly submissive.

Even after her (accidental) harem finally confesses to her, their interactions barely change, since she simply ignores the new situation, refusing to take responsibility for the way her decisions are affecting everyone around her. Until the very end, she still views everything as though it's still a game, even after seeing time and time again how events have changed from the original storyline.

I read this to the end out of frustrated rage, hoping that she'd show some glimmer of character development, or grow even a vestigial spine, but alas, no.

I give this two stars instead of one because I actually quite like the other characters. It's really a pity about the tr*sh MC. <<less

The issue with the story is that the set up and opening are pretty good, but then around chapter 40, the main character starts making progressively s*upider decisions that cross the line from "funny oblivious" to "I want to strangle her". Also, the plot hits the point where she should have chosen a true love interest or truly tried to turn everyone down properly, but then she doesn't, so everything starts to feel pointless...
