Tang Luo transmigrated into a CEO novel and became a white, super rich and beautiful……. female who loved the ML dearly.

The ML thought she had a poisonous heart and kept harming the FL which led to her parents telling her to get out of the house. She soon died miserably, alone, without any friends and relatives.

System: The two months life countdown begins, please ask for the ML’s forgiveness as soon as possible! The ML has to believe that you have no malicious intention towards the FL. Only then your survival time will be extended. This side proposes you to quickly apologize to the FL…….

No! Tang Luo firmly refused: I will solve the problem from its root!

At once, Tang Luo kicked the idiot ML who only knew how to misunderstand herself and raced against time to cleanly and thoroughly eat the successful, beautiful, and mysterious big shot. Then pulled him to handsomely face the ML: “Open your eyes, this is the person I love, my darling. Everything in the past was a misunderstanding!”

Two months later, when the threat to her life was thoroughly removed, Tang Luo enjoyed her life. She travelled, shopped and tasted many gourmet food but suddenly found herself blocked in a room.

“So…. are you tired of playing? Have you seen enough?” The handsome big shot smiled in anger and closed in on her step by step, “Is it boring after you caught it? Hm?”

I'm so mad. I just finished novel only for it to never explain the transmigration part, which is the premise of the whole dang novel...

Characters:... more>>
Spoiler

MC/FL = Tang Luo
ML = Chu Junyan
ogML = Yu Chifeng
ogMC/FL= Lu Si Ke

Detailed summary of plot:
Spoiler

Basically, MC was an orphan in her og world and transmigrated into a book to became a cannon fodder character, daughter of a rich family and ogML's ex-fiancée. There is a "system" that tells her the body she is in has a short lifespan b/c of a terminal illness (2 months) and to survive, she must make ogML believe she is not trying to hurt ogFL. Her survival depends on having high "trust" points based on ogML's perspective - the more ogML believes MC = higher "trust" value pts = longer lifespan but to increase "trust" she has to lower "favorability" points. The MTL is kind of messy so I hope I interpreted this correctly - if MC does something nice for ogML the fav pts will inc but trust pts will decrease (b/c ogML thinks MC is still in love w/ him if she's nice to him = motive to hurt ogFL) and if MC distances herself from ogML or brushes him off, the fav pts will decrease and trust points will inc.

To save herself, the most efficient way was to break off the engagement w/ ogML & find a new boyfriend so ogML can see she has moved on. She meets ML and starts dating him but ogML thinks MC is trying to get his attention by suddenly wanting to break off the engagement and finding a lover - whenever ogML is suspicious of MC, the fav pts increases during this time and trust points decrease, shortening her lifespan.

The first half is relatively straightforward but during the second half, the "system" has less of a presence or impact on the plot and MC. You start forgetting that she has to fulfill her mission of lengthening her lifespan b/c the "system" is awkwardly mentioned a couple of times and the rest of the novel focuses on MC and ML's relationship, plus some drama ogML tries to stir up w/ MC.

[collapse]

A few complaints:
Spoiler

- I don't actually understand why the author included a "system" in this transmigration story. I guess chinese transmigration novels usually has a "system" that interacts w/ MC while korean transm. novels don't always include one, but it really wasn't necessary in this story b/c it was poorly incorporated into the plot. Towards the end I forgot it about it altogether until MC mentioned it to ML

- She has a happy ending w/ ML but the reason for her transmigration was never explained clearly (apparently ML forced her soul to transmigrate but we don't know how he did it...) or why a "system" even exists in the first place. In the very last or second to last chapter, ML was like oh you had to deal w/ that? But what do you mean ML? Did you design the system???? THE NOVEL NEVER TALKS ABOUT ML POSSIBLY KNOWING ABOUT THE SYSTEM. WHY DID THE AUTHOR MAKE IT SOUND LIKE HE WAS INDIRECTLY INVOLVED W/ IT.

- ML and MC first met in MC's ogworld when they were teens where they were hospitalized together, but we don't know how ML's soul traveled to another dimension... They parted when his body dies in MC's ogworld then he wakes up in his world to find that he was in a coma for a year.

- When ML woke up he was confused if he just had a long dream of living w/ MC for a year then understands it's not a dream when he sees that he has his couple ring from when he was in MC's world. He also miraculously comes to the conclusion that they live in separate worlds b/c he couldn't find her or the hospital they were in in his world. The novel was like "he finds out b/c he is a genius". Literally, the author wrote "he was a genius when he was younger" and doesn't detail the process of how he understood a different dimension exists.

- ML then resolved to gain more financial power so he could meet MC but it was also not explained how he would use that money to meet MC. There was no explanation of him researching the phenomenon or gathering a team of scientists or w/e to bring her into his world. No brief description of his plan, just "he wanted to work hard and become rich to meet MC". How would he use his resources to meet her though??????

- ogML's presence fades into oblivion after he saw ML and MC in a hotel room together but his end w/ ogFL is never mentioned... It was implied they would end up together and get married after ogML finally gives up on MC but their relationship was never confirmed in the first place. There is virtually no chemistry between ogFL and ogML.

-ogFL is spineless and unbearable, she is not a villain but she is so annoying and cries really easily. She thought MC was accusing her of breaking her engagement w/ ogML then kept saying she's not interested in him. How they even formed a relationship in the ogplot if ogFL was crying all the time and ogML was bullying MC for the most part is beyond me.

- ogFL and ogML are very simple, one dimensional characters. Even saying that is generous for them. The author didn't bother to develop anyone other than MC and ML....

[collapse]

Author also threw in unnecessary, last minute drama between MC and ML during the last 6ish chapters of the 39ch of the novel....

this is a detailed summary of the ending peppered w/ more complaints:
Spoiler

- after ML proposes to MC, author randomly throws in drama of MC trying to run away from ML b/c ML's identity as a powerful businessman is accidentally revealed to MC. He is an op character in the book who is even stronger than ogML. MC is scared of him b/c he is a mysterious, powerful figure in the book capable of bringing down a whole family. ML never tried to hurt MC but for some reason she thinks he will kill her??

- and after MC signs the marriage certificate w/ ML, MC runs into ML's assistant during ML's bday banquet, who explained that ML had been in love w/ MC for 7 years. MC becomes upset and thinks that he is not truly in love w/ her b/c she's not the ogbody. MC starts planning to run away from ML again. MC is immature and makes no attempt to communicate her feelings to ML, she also has a negative view of ML yet claims that she loves him. Btw, they got married after one month of dating....

- MC leaves the bday banquet and collects her belongings at work on the same day just in case she is really going to run away. She accidentally learns from senior staff that the jewelry company she works as a designer at was created by ML for, allegedly, an impoverished girl (Qiao Yu) he was sponsoring, senior staff believed he is in love w/ her... So QY is an orphan, a streamer who also happens to be a jewelry designer, says the company's slogan in her videos, and a younger girl who looks very similar to MC.... MC is also an orphan and a jewelry designer... Senior staff thought company's slogan was taken from QY's catchphrase in her videos, which is a fair assumption... MC is disturbed and wonders if she was a replacement for QY and if ML was grooming QY to be his future lover (lol) and goes home to calm down. Next day she drives to ML's villa and QY happens to be there at the same time. MC hides in her car and overhears her congratulating ML for his bday and marriage. QY tries to give him a present and ML says "Sorry and I can't accept your gift. Please leave". This random girl was never mentioned throughout the novel nor did ML tell MC about her and is a last minute add on... Yea I would be upset too if this happened to me...

- MC runs away to Europe for ~1/2 a year. ML tracks her location to a cruise ship, knocks on her suite and talks to her lol. ML was like "why did you run away from me?" and author writes a page of MC feeling upset about his question before MC explains that she is not the ogbody, aka his first love from 7 years ago. I hate it when dialogue is broken to explain a character's thoughts to build up suspense. It's so s*upid. ML then reveals that he was actually looking for MC this whole time, who he met in her world, and not the ogbody. Huh?? Novel never gives foreshadowing for ML knowing about the possibility of transmigration or ML crossing worlds??? The story of how they met in the hospital at MC's world is explained during the last 2 chapters?? So how did he fall in love w/ MC's current body in the past month of dating if he didn't know MC's soul was possessing ogbody??? ML realizes he was unconsciously using ogbody as a substitute for MC while not knowing MC was possessing ogbody while they were dating so thought ogbody was ogbody, not MC. MC is like w/e, you only interacted w/ ogbody when my soul crossed over

- ML also mentions that the MC he fell in love with likes design and "wants all girls who love beauty to have their jewelry" which is the company's slogan. MC often said this to ML when they first met, but she doesn't remember, so it turns out QY is just referencing the company's slogan in her videos b/c she's in love w/ ML and QY is not the origin of the slogan. ML denies that he was grooming QY (lol) and was simply supporting her financially b/c he couldn't watch someone that looked like a younger MC and had similar traits to MC struggle.... It's still creepy

- MC apparently had a head injury when she met ML at the hospital in her world b/c she was bullied by girls at school. She doesn't remember meeting him in the hospital while they were both recovering at the same time. In her memories, she only remembers being at the hospital alone. When she left, she invited ML to live w/ her b/c he was registered at the hospital as an orphan w/ no family (he randomly appeared in her world and was found injured, doesn't remember how he got there). They lived together for ~1/2 a year - 1 year and MC also does not remember any of it. The night MC and ML reconciles in the suite of the cruise ship, MC conveniently has a dream sequence that fills in the gap of her missing memories about meeting ML for the first time, ending w/ ML's body dying in the hospital and her head hurting. It is implied her memory of ML was wiped clean b/c the combo of head injury and his traumatic death.

[collapse]

the ending is a lousy attempt to tie up loose ends. It only created more questions the novel didn't address in its whole 39 chapters. Little to no foreshadowing for sudden revelations (ML crossed worlds!!) and it's like watching an antagonist from a scooby doo episode reveal they're *insert character the whole gang has never personally interacted with nor did the episode mention them at all*.

Oh yeah. MC is a rapist. The author also repeatedly implies that women are not capable of s*xual assault and men can never be r*pe victims. If a man was assaulted, it's b/c they let the woman do it to them. Huh???? What???

What MC did to ML:
Spoiler

For ML's birthday, she rented a hotel room and fed ML food laced w/ aphrodisiacs and told ogML to come to the hotel room to see them have sek so ogML can understand she's over him. The novel explained ML's perspective as "he knew the food was drugged but ate it b/c he wanted to have sek w/ MC so he didn't mind" and b/c he was a willing participant, it wasn't a big deal she tried to drug him.

MC never told him beforehand that there were drugs in the food nor did she disclose that she scheduled ogML to "coincidentally" catch them having sek in their hotel room so she can reject ogML. Wtf. That is so extremely sh**ty that she doesn't try to get his verbal consent to let someone "accidentally" see them doing it. How come no one mentions this?

There was also a scene at the middle of the novel where MC pushes down ML and asks him what happens if a girl tries to take advantage of him, he replies that that isn't possible, it's only possible if the guy lets the girl do it.

The author likes to go out of their way to explain that MC is not a scumbag b/c ML doesn't care that he was drugged, ML wanted to have sek w/ her anyway and MC arranged ogML to see them doing the deed for "ML's sake" b/c he was jealous of ogML. It's convenient that ML somehow knew he was drugged and that she did something awful but it was excusable b/c it was to make ML happy. Good intentions are not always harmless...

[collapse]

Yea idk. I enjoyed some of it but cringed at the "drugging ML in the hotel" part, was mad when "MC randomly wants to run away from ML" part, was even more annoyed when "last minute possible love rival shows up b/c they secretly loved ML" part, then threw my phone down when the end clarified little and created more confusion.

I don't even complain this much for dogblood danmeis where MLs cheat on the MC for 10 yrs b/c I don't have any expectations for characters to be decent. I know I'm getting awful characters and that's why I'm reading it. The author portrays MC to have a strong but scheming, good girl personality (despite the title "I'm not afraid to be a scumbag" readers are supposed to like her and view her as a good person who has been wronged by an idiot fiance) but they just created someone who became annoying, uncommunicative, brain dead, and a s*x offender in the second half of the novel. Great. <<less

Started off good but tapered off. The ending was super abrupt too. Like ML emotionally blackmails MC into getting married and then? End of story! Like MC is scared of ML's real identity, thinks of running away and then ... more>>
Spoiler

turns out ML went into coma in his world but travelled to MC's world where they met and fell in love but he had to go back and decided to grab MC from her world to this world somehow to his world

. And the novel ends just like that.

It's not a bad novel but an average one. Atleast it breaks from the ennui of MC going after the O!ML. <<less

A really enjoyable little novel with some minor problems. Well worth the read.

Tang Luo, the main character really carries this novel. You read the novel to see what she is going to next. She is alternating adorable, hilarious, or just plain goofy. Definitely the MVP and winner of the game ball. The other great feature of this novel are the misunderstandings. The author keeps them short sweet and funny, such a nice change of pace from authors that use them as torture devices

The novels problems stem from it's brevity. Except... more>> Tang Luo none of the other characters are done well. There simply isn't the space to develop them. There are also endless plot threads left hanging. What happens to the O!ML, O!FL, who were the plotters, all left open.

bottom line, a good quick fun read <<less

A short sweet read. The ending felt a little rushed because I wanted to read more about the couple :)

Spoiler

Tang Luo transmigrates into the book and is faced with a narcissistic fiancé and his whiny little mistress. She nopes out of there in search for a handsome guy to show her ex that she doesn't love him anymore. There is a system involved but it basically doesn't do anything for the plot. She then meets Chu JunYan (ML) and in the beginning she mistakes him for his nephew and shenanigans ensue for about the first half. After Tang Luo actually develops for JunYan and his real name is exposed, everything is *almost* smooth sailing from there. Towards the end there is a little misunderstanding but it gets resolved fairly quickly. I don't wanna delve into it too much but just let me tell you that this couple really searched and found one another.

[collapse]

Anyways, just go read it. It only took me like half a day and I definitely don't regret. While it doesn't have the most unique plot line it does come with a little twist at the end to keep you interested. Personally I didn't find any huge plot holes that were left open at the end but I am pretty lax with that so take that opinion with a grain of salt. <<less
