In the bloody medieval war novel, I possessed an extra.

However, I was the wife of a traitor who died in the beginning.

I abandoned my husband to live and tried to run away, but was captured by the most vicious man in the original story.

I disguised myself as a maid and only sought opportunities to escape from time to time, but the villains began to like me.

Knowing the original story, I thought I was the strongest here, but seeing people’s terrible future was disturbing.

Why were so many good people gathered around the villain?

All the villains have to be villains!

Whatever, I don’t know anymore. Still, I couldn’t just let him die.

That man needs to be avoided.

If I want to live, I shouldn’t go there.

I’ll cut the rotten branches.

This was how I cleared the obstacle one by one.

The original story is starting to change little by little.

Hard to rate, it has potential but it touched upon too many of my pet peeves so I stopped reading it.

Story is about MC transmigrating in a body of a very unlucky scarecrow wife (just for official appearances) who has no friends and who is good at medicine. Later on she is captured by ML and forced to be a maid. And then of course she uses knowledge of novel to fix situations and somehow ML is constantly watching her.

Story is well written, you can understand easily how whats MC's... more>> situation, her daily life, relationships between people, but... it often feels too long? First 6 chapters are about OG Garnetts life, how MC wants to escape and how is she captured in attack (MC constantly says that everyone there will die (and they actually died), so why write it in such details for discardable characters?).

The downside of novel are the "accident after accident" situations, non-logical actions and it just too slow (it's great that author wants to show the world, but reading those long conversations sometimes are a bit too much). Some examples of weird situations:

Spoiler
    • Classical "MC fails to run away and gets captured". At the start MC has a grand plan of escape but somehow ends up running away the same day and time when ML is attacking the mansion. And even tho she is far away on a super secret road, she still gets found by a knight. Also, she was 100% confident that ML will kill her, so why didn't she try to run away from the knight? She had the best horse from Willinger mansion + she had information about the forest, so escape should have been possible.
    • MC being obsessed with ML's handsomeness. At the start whole mansion is burned down with people, many are cut and are still bleeding out, she sees her husband getting beheaded right infront of her and ML puts the same bloody sword at her neck and all she can do is stare at him and think how handsome he is?
    • Overly hateful people. OG Garnett for many years cured people in mansion yet all of them still hate her. Now she lives among many maids but only has 1 maid friend and milk granpa to talk to.
    • How to get peoples trust? Cure them! Head maid - poisonous plant in a room, best friend (maid) - blisters on hand, ML's sister (the only person ML cares about) - currently super sick, and also on chapter 7 is mentioned that country is slowly taken over by Black Death disease, I sure wonder who will solve it.
    • ML is somehow instantly obsessed with MC. Why would he care about his enemy's wife so much? Why would he care about what is she doing now? What is her past? About what is she talking to that knight?
    • Why would ML's closest aide know rumours of lowest level maids about MC (who is pretty much a s*ave now) ? Whole continent is in turmoil because of war and power struggles, how can he have time for something like maid rumours?
    • MC doesn't seem normal. She knows that according to a story ML will kill innocent knights (because of their awful leader) for disciplines sake but why would she have to go and watch that? And she doesn't even feel bad about situation... is she really a modern time person or also a crazy one?
    • OG Garnett's situation does not make sense. Her father was 2nd son of duke, because he couldn't inherit duchy, he became a smaller lord and was a doctor. Somehow he was super poor and OG Garnett was kidnapped and forcefully married to some awful noble. How can a old duke's granddaughter be in such an awful situation without any help from relatives or any protection of law?
    • Sickly duke's sister has a problem with tailor. MC, for no reason at all (even she doesn't know why) just steps forward, that instantly attracts sisters attention and she makes MC (the maid) wear super expensive dress for her (can a noble even wear something like that afterwards? What other person (someone as low as a maid) has worn?), somehow that dress fits her perfectly and everyone is stunned (shouldn't at least nobles be immune to beauty?) and of course ML instantly arrives.
