Keep in mind this is an established relationship, so if you're looking for a romance novel that is from friends to lover or something like that, you can skip this novel.

I read this book because I heard it was a good book with a terrible name, but it wasn't really suitable for my preferences. The novel is good, the ML and MC are in love, no misunderstandings, just maybe a bit of jealous feelings that adds more taste to the novel, a typical thing. No drama either, except for ... more>>

The MC coming out to his mother.

, which ended quickly, so it wasn't so dramatic it turned heavy.

This is a sort of light novel, not much heavy plot, which made me enjoy it quite a lot. I also respect how the MC takes acting as a job, unlike a lot of youngsters these days in the Chinese film industry, whose jobs aren't an "actor", but rather a "Star".

Perhaps because I have some experience with the things the MC does like

immersing himself into a character and not get out of the character until the ML shows up

I got a bit scared, and skipped a few chapters about it. That may have made my reading experience a bit unpleasant, and is also the reason this book doesn't really suit my taste. Of course, this book is good, and most people won't feel scared from this, so I didn't deduct stars from the review just for this.

There's a lot of fluff, it's enjoyable to read, no misunderstandings, and there's mutual love and trust from both sides, so I would recommend it. Sorry for the bad English and have a nice day. <<less

I read this some time ago because it's by the same author as [Don't Pick Up Boyfriends from the tr*sh Bin], same universe as well! (I salivated over all of the Chi Xiaochi mentions).

It's super cute, fluffy, lighthearted. Not meant to be deep.

The main lead's relationship is a intentionally misleading for humor (basically an actor and his "patron"). Except it's not some kind of business contract, they are really sweet and fluffy "boyfriends".

This kind of gives some insight to what happened in the celeb world after CXC fell into a... more>> coma~ <<less

i was pretty hesitant because of the tittle and some reviwers saying that this is pretty much all fluff, even though I m alright with fluff but threre is a limit of how much fluff I can take. But I read it anyway and I was relieved because it wasnt as sickly sweet as I thought, it was very much, domestic fluff which I love, and I also surprisingly like the MC and ml. So looking forward to future chaps.

Peaceful to read with amusing bits about other people misunderstanding their relationship while the two are lovey dovey with each other. What's splendid is the open communication and trust this couple has. If you've ever thrown your phone away because a novel character just won't open their gddm mouth, relax here and be at ease.

Till now story is super fluffy. The one where you feel you will get diabetes.

ML is CEO Song mentioned in Don't pick up boyfriend from tr*shbin (reason for picking up) . ML is completely in love with MC like a young guy in love. (In a good way)

MC is a bit feminised so for me it's a bumper even though I like his "persistent" personality and hard work for career. But at the same time I feel the self harm he does for roles is not worth it. I... more>> get it some people will do anything for their goals but doing self harm you have to be responsible to your near ones as how your actions are hurting them especially your partner, just because your partner loves you doesn't mean MC can do all the self harm he wants. He should think of his partner too. Kinda irresponsible of MC.

Fluff moments make you feel whether couple like them exists.

Both MC & ML are like adults but acting young kids in love (in a good way) . Their love reminds me of every girl dream relationship but reality hits in a bad way. So for that unfilled dreams of most people this novel is a good read.

Not a 4 star but for fluff I will give it. <<less

3.5 stars. A simple, light read about showbiz. It's fluffy and cute enough. Don't expect something deep lolol it's basically dogfood galore.

MC is a cute guy who's extremely focused in acting and is really good about it but doesn't have luck. He climbed ML's bed and even used ML as "prop" and costars for his acting lessons lol.

The plot and storyline is simple, there's angst but doesn't amount much. If you have spare time and is in the mood for simple fluffy story then it's for you.

A very realistic slice of life story. I love the sweet relationship between the MC and ML. I would have loved more details about how they got together but I do enjoy their relationship as it is now. There isn't much drama except when MC came out to his parents and it really broke my heart how real it all was. I myself have been told that being gay is an illness etc and it really hurt while reading that part. (I'm bi lol. MC handled it well unlike me.)... more>> Also MC is gets a bit too much into his roles so the ML being his anchor is so beautiful.

A good read for when you need some cute fluff and comfort. Ngl I first read it cause it was from the same author as Don't pick up boyfriends from the tr*sh bin but I really liked it. It's vastly different from DPUBFTB.

I personally rate this a 4.5 <<less

Very cute, funny and fluffy! No brain dead, hateful characters. Read it for a good time.

It's cute and fluffy. Ideal for those looking for fluff. I don't know whether there is gonna be angst coming up, though.

That aside, it's also incredibly boring. And unrealistic. There are cute love scenes, but unlike Don't Pick up Boyfriends from the tr*shbin, where the fluff is interspersed among drama and other things, this one is just fluff 24/7. Personally, I'm not super into it--I find it bland. But that's just me.

The writing style of this novel is not my cup of tea.

Also I don't like how MC and ML are already together in the first chapter. I would much prefer to read the process of them meeting for the first time then falling in love not them already in a relationship and then giving readers just a small snippet of how they meet. It doesn't satisfied me with how the novel is moving or written.

Cute and fluffy, but gets rather repetitive after a while, since this is a slice of life story, with no real driving plot.

A chill and enjoyable read. I normally struggle to get through slice of life novels because many of them have very little plot, but they try really hard to act like they have a lot of plot. But this one literally is like, "Yeah, there's no plot, so what?" Rather than expecting something mindblowing from this story, I recommend thinking of it like vignettes from the life of an up and coming actor (who just happens to be dating his company's CEO). Just a series of cute, fluffy, and/or humorous... more>> scenes. Nothing very new or exciting, but a relaxing read that's good for taking a break between more intense/dramatic/emotionally taxing novels. <<less
