This is one of those series where the protagonist narrates his opinions of everything telling the reader how to interpret every action directly. It's not a fatal mistake and many enjoyable novels use it, although I think it's always a mistake.

The part that's really annoying me is how he uses this to forcefully cast everyone into black and white roles. The villagers are evil, the old wolf god is evil, the little girl is innocent. To reinforce these roles, they make overt and unrealistic displays to reinforce this. Unrepentantly calling... more>> the little girl names and one-sidedly accusing her of running away.

There are many stories out there that use this style and it's not fatal to a series enjoyability, but it's a very bland and frustrating way to tell it. Mainly because the whole thing comes off artificial. <<less

Good until the very end.
So much plot holes at the end, it's insane, but I think Author quitted way too early.

Okay, so the basic concept of the novel is sort of like I Am a Dao Ancestor or I'm Actually a Cultivation Bigshot. But the MC of this novel got a good grasp of his power in the later stages of the novel. He knows he's powerful.

Pretty good as of now, the plot isn't copy pasted, it's clear that the author thought about how to mold the world and some of it's philosophies, such as when his 'son' talks to him about Evil daoists.

The MC isn't incompetent and albeit a bit passive, his influence makes changes in the world.

Beware, this novel gets kinda slice of life in some parts, so there is a chance you will be bored, but this still is a good book anyway so I think it should get a chance even by... more>> them, it's good to pass time. <<less

What a great read. This novel is give me Mushishi vibe, as in the world is full of mystery and the adventure the MC went through were quite... extraterrestrial for a lack of a better adjective.

Now let's get on the review, yes this is transmigration novel where the MC possessed the body of death wolf god, who may have some history before being possessed, and now the MC is trying to get a grip in this world and one method is by trying to get stronger, cause as far as... more>> the MC know this world of cultivation is full of danger.

Now the thing is, the world of 'cultivation' that the MC knows and the one he currently in may not be completely the same, that is why some of the method the MC does actually break the world norm and out of common sense, this made people who encountered the MC to be scared or frightened. Of course, MC thinking he is still weak and these are just being nice, this is where the misunderstanding comes from.

The first, I would say 70 ish chapters is more of the MC trying to get his grip in the world while meeting people around his domain, after that he start going on an adventure and from what i've read I think I have a slight grasp on what the author want to go with the novel.

The world of cultivation where the MC transmigrate to is not complete, theres no immortal, theres no after life, theres no reincarnation, and some other stuff MC knows about the world of cultivation from the story he read in his previous world. I think later on, the MC will try to complete the missing variables by using his previous world knowledge, which is very interesting to see. Just recently he is tasked (or more like he tasked it toward himself) to create an underworld using his previous world knowledge

Great novel,

Reminds me a lot of 'Im Actually a Bigshot' or 'It Turns Out I'm a Dao Ancestor' except here MC is more proactive and aware

Eloquence is through the roof, although its not conveyed well sometimes, it feels like im reading conversations happening between real daoists

Great comedy, genuine chortles every now and then.

If you don't like faceslapping and boasting then why are you even here (this isnt for you)

I won't say anything about the story but there is one thing to take caution about. In this novel, many characters including MC have misunderstanding about mamy things. The paragraphs depicting inner voices are mostly misunderstandings and many times, no one knows the truth. This, to me feels very realistic cuz most of the times, people are not thinking what you think they're thinking, no matter how close the relationship is. The story utself is good, a little slow with slice of life. A good novel to take a break... more>> from action and twist packed ones.
