With the mysterious point system in hand, Su Yang aimed to become rich and alter his fate. On his path towards success, he encountered many interesting matters and people, including famous actresses and business tycoons. Fueled by determination, Su Yang set his sight on adding points into all things to help him achieve his goal.

Edit as of c575: I dropped this novel from 4 stars to 2 stars because of this

Spoiler

The MC kept making remarks on how he's going to nuke America and make China into number 1 for no apparent reason. I mean he does go into a fight with a couple of shark poachers, but that shouldn't mean that he wants to f*ck up the entire Americas due to that. I mean... ever since around chapter 200, the author has been adding in straight propaganda into the novel similar to The Ultimate Scheming System. Repetitively saying things like china number 1! The rest of the world is tr*sh! Or saying things like how "All Americans think the Chinese are 'yellow monkeys'" and then brutally killing the Americans. Honestly, the novel started out strong but became more and more leaned to racism and stuff.

[collapse]

TLDR: Basically, this is an above-average novel with decent comedy and plot. However, there is a decent amount of sexism and stereotypes that some readers may be uncomfortable about. Basically only read this novel if you are looking for a relatively light-hearted novel and don't mind some sexism and not exactly racism, but more like nationalism and common stereotypes.

The novel starts out as a pretty standard comedy c*m wish-fulfilling novel set in an urban environment. MC gets a system -> gets superpowers and special items -> get the girls -> succeed in making money, etc.

I have to say that the first 200 chapters were pretty good, no excessive RNG/plot armor, no random enemies that provoke the MC for no reason (more like MC getting into other people's business), decent comedy. I'd say that the first few hundred chapters were pretty new and with a pretty good concept, the novel was definitely above average, but below exceptional.

After the first few hundred chapters though, the author starts making more and more stereotypical remarks though like "women minds are very strange", "women have to either bet on a good career or a good man", "women are s*upider than males", etc. I mean... I'm not about to say that these remarks are not true since a very small percentage of the actual population might be like this (I'm in America so I'm not too sure about the cultural differences).

So I'm like fine, whatever, basically skimmed through those portions since even as a male, I felt a bit uncomfortable. I'm not sure if the author met troubles in the real-life girlfriend or mom or something but something definitely made him change his style of writing. Anyways, so if you are fine with some sexism, then feel free to read this novel.

So I read a few hundred more chapters and bam! The author starts making stereotypical remarks about Americans too. He says stuff like, "Americans are so revealing in swimsuits", "They aren't good at math (compared to the Chinese apparently) ", "The American women will be very open about love and stuff" etc.

Honestly, at this point, I still don't really care since its just a novel written by a Chinese author. I decided to write a review at this chapter that way I can warn potential readers about the possibly offensive language in the novel. So take my review with a grain of salt and if all else, just give the novel a try first.

Edit: I felt like I should add this as an afterthought, but in this novel, there is A LOT of times where it really shows the cultural differences between China and America (or some other western country). So, when reading the novel, consider this fact first, and then just treat the novel like a funny time-waster. <<less

User tomthegreatest has summed up this novel pretty well.

The first 150 or so chapters are actually great for a novel of this kind. It had good comedy and some serious content mixed in from time to time.

Then it starts going downhill. MC's system, superpowers and wealth/social status turned him from a nice kindhearted guy to a psychopath who wants to control everyone and everything. It's as if.. He got swapped from Thich That Nhat (monk) to Biden/Trump (masons).

Well, China is a war-loving, warmongering country, so the change was to be... more>> expected. He wants to kill everyone and everything that stands in his way, he even stopped using brains or out-witting opponents. It's all about using his special assassinating abilities, from mind-manipulating and making people insane to straight up mu*ders!!! <<less

This is amazing!

Enjoyable every step, while the pacing is fast and the upgrade is fast, there is still a lot challange every turn and then

Powers are unique and intetesting

1 star lost to sudden rasicm and sudden brutality die to also rasicm at chapter 573

But I won't spoil on that as that will create very bad impression

But other than that, it's amazing, another I wish it could be harem situation

Currently at chapter 100 and man, this novel has one of the weakest first impressions under the "urban" tag ever

Chapter after chapter I'm waiting for something interesting to happen but still, nothing.

The characters? Okay I guess, but Su Yang is pretty shitty and greedy, and for whatever reason he just won't stop tr*sh-talking his future harem members! Ie: (hehe, girls don't know about math, girls are weak, girls are dumb, girls are gold diggers, she failed? As expected, she's only a girl after all! *Chuckles*)

So yeah if this old... more>> fogey author projects these old-fashioned thoughts onto the MC this early, then it's just a matter of time until the shitty and completely unnecessary nationalism appears.

Also the dog character? Don't like it (and no, I'm not against this type of character, I liked Big Yellow back when I used to torture myself reading DMWG, also Buttface from Ultimate Scheming System)

I'll keep reading, for now.. <<less

Disclaimer: I read chinese novels almost exclusively because there's a lot of mu*der, selfish protagonists/anti-heroes/etc, r*pe, depictions of cruelty, etc, etc. Chinese novels seem to be the only novels that can sufficiently create stories that are both funny and dark at the same time. If you read Chinese novels for face-slapping evil/self-interested MCs, as I do, this novel is not for you.

The novel starts out interesting because of the premise and slowly becomes less interesting and goofy over time.

The author pigeon holed the MC into being a standard goody-two-shoes protagonist... more>> but it doesn't really show until around chapter 200 or so when the MC is going to use one of his special items to kill a guy who mu*dered two school girls but instead chooses not to when he gets surrounded by his goofy monster minions (one of which is a literal body pillow) and they convince him not to do it- instead he ends up choosing a method which ends up hurting him instead.

I can withstand a certain amount of goofy, the Groot rip-off character, sigh. Talking body pillow, ok. Male shark transformed into an aryan trap, ugh. The final straw for me was the surface-to-air missile launcher that transforms into a goth loli.

At that point, I realised the author is a weeb and that this ride is already halfway over the cliff edge.

Anyway- this story is just too silly for me and with how many chapters there are, the thought of wasting my time as it gets progressively sillier (read; GOOFY AF) really doesn't appeal to me. Gonna go give Grasping Evil a try, maybe it can help me forget I wasted like three days reading this garbage hoping for it to get good only to be trolled by the author. <<less

It's an interesting novel that has its ups and downs. I like the MC of this story. He's usually a calm and pragmatic guy. His main flaw is that he's quite static, and things that the author could have used to develop him are left alone. Even killing someone for the first time didn't really have any effect on him as he shrugged it off. At the very least he only kills those who explicitly attempt to kill him or have the intention of doing so.

The story is mostly about... more>> the MC getting rich through the use of his special items/monsters and his own abilities he gets from the system. The items/monsters/abilities are unique and the monsters specifically are occasionally funny.

Spoiler

For example, a pillow that can smell opportunities, chopsticks that can sense danger, a sentient pool, an hourglass that can enable MC to look through memories, and an ability that lets MC go invisible for half an hour in exchange for a broken finger

[collapse]

The best parts of this story are definitely the moments in which the MC directly one ups his opponents through the use of his items.

Spoiler

Like when he looked through the memories of his subordinate and found out they had an extensive plan to ruin the company he recently bought. Seeing the entire conversation from the POV of the subordinate was great as they couldn't tell when MC used the ability and so they didn't understand his sudden attitude change.

[collapse]

The romance aspect of the story is... alright. Nothing great but nothing too crazy. There are 5 potential girls so far but MC hasn't gotten together with anyone yet.

Chu Xia - Closest relationship with MC as they are close friends. Both have feelings for each other but MC refuses to make a move by repeating the excuse of "I don't want to date anyone I'm not sure I'll marry" to himself.

Lin Jiali - A low popularity celebrity. MC has a weird relationship with her that started with him getting her number through a misunderstanding. She develops feelings for MC over time but denies them to herself. MC hasn't shown any real romantic interest but she's the closest to him other than Chu Xia.

Qu Xiaomeng- Probably the most annoying out of the 5. English teacher of the MC at his university but I have no idea how she even became a teacher with her low intelligence. I'm fairly certain it's supposed to be a joke but she's so dumb at times that it's insane. Hasn't shown interest in the MC romantically but all signs point to them getting together (Keep running into each other at night, live near each other, brother trying to set them up, etc.).

Tang Jing- Young single mother MC helped. Her daughter sees the MC as a big brother/father figure...I'm sure you can see where things are going.

Xu Lu - Another girl MC helped. She's kinda shady and mostly likes the MC for his money. Pretty provocative towards MC. He hasn't shown a lot of interest in her though.

So yeah, almost 400 chapters in and MC really only has hints of romantic relationships forming.

Overall the novel is pretty good. Highlights of the novel are definitely the little monsters and their interactions with MC along with how the MC utilizes his items/monsters/abilities to work his way up the ladder. MC is likable to me but could be written better. I'd rate it a 3.5 overall. <<less

The MC is basically a dense, beta-male Japanese protagonist in a modern Chinese setting. Despite that, it was still a decent, enjoyable novel to pass the time with. The hardest part for me when reading this was the romance... it took a looong time, 800+ chapters, to the very last chapter, to basically have the harem ending because the author decided to tease a monogamous relationship the whole story while shunning the other female main characters.

It is so tr*shy that I don't even want to write a review to be honest.

If I did not have nothing else to read I would have dropped it in first 50 or so chapters.

I just hate everything about this novel. There is not even one good point to talk about.

I think even zoning out and day dreaming might be better use of time rather than wasting it on this novel. You cannot expect something decent from a dumb author I guess.

A decent time waster. Has some points of humor, but also a lot of cringe moments. Moderately misogynistic, and very nationalistic in the later parts of the novel. Weird combination of detailed infodumps on web entertainment and a few other areas, combined with complete ignorance of the world in other parts of the book.

A couple of nice supporting characters, who are abandoned for a few hundred pages only to make a cameo appearance.

Ok so this novel is not for people who are not dumb and Chinese, I like how both perfectly matches, so what I was saying that every Chinese are good and.. Ahem not that It was that this novel is crap I don't why I even tried reaching this later on I started liking this in the first half cause getting rich and many young master face slapping was avoided but later on the good old Chinese government and the bad boi japan started appearing they even started saying that... more>> even if the MC destroys japan he wouldn't mind and his motto was to change the world positivity rate not the covid I mean happiness but deep sh*t this novel lost the appeal which it had earlier goddamit why did I suffer reading 800+ chapters to wait for the author to change the the plot not worth reading <<less

Our MC Su Yang is a university student who gets an ability to add points to inanimate objects and makes them come to life, turning them into his so called monsters. He's also able to add points to himself but those points are quite rare. The story revolves around his comedic life with his objects that have come to life and how he uses them to help him build his business empire. He is surrounded by gorgeous looking girls but they are all at an ambiguous relationship stage with him... more>> where they aren't quite together but lots of near-intimate contact happen.

I find some comedic events a miss and some a hit where I laugh out loud. And I also enjoy the strange relationships he has with the revolving ladies around him. The conversations he has with all the people around him is written quite well. The most interesting thing is his personal abilities that seem to be gradually turning him to become a God-like entity.

Towards the end of the novel, the author runs out of stuff to write so you have an arc where his monsters don't appear and you get wiki info dump about stuff all over the world. Then, it's a hurried race to find a suitable ending to the novel.

Female readers and those that don't like authors shoving China #1 and everyone sucks down their throats may not like this novel, but it was quite entertaining to me. <<less

I wanted to give this a chance, even with the racism, nationalist, misogyny tags (sometime tags are wrong)

But the first chapter the guy has a stick plant called gru, that said “gru, gru” when it taks, like really? Sound familar *crying emoji* like the story is already unorginal as well as the tags, giving red flags.

Up to where I read, all else was clear edited machine translation, but nowhere near what a translation with quite some mistakes here and there could compare to, babelnovel-level. It was no longer nice to keep on reading, however, did I enjoy my damn time reading through the first few chapters.

First, the objects not allowing him to kill people were a good thought, but that was basically all I could think of the things that are 'crafty' and implemented by Eternal Era. His story telling and progression however, lack so... more>> much I didn't even bothered by the first few hundreds I read.

It's so shameful to see what a MC that isn't complete ret*rd in both IQ and EQ doesn't manage to do in 1, 000 chapters what YC managed to do in 100 or less, and that with it being an axed ending, because I'm very sorry that it is. The laziness could be felt from the very beginning, and I wasn't wrong in calling this novel a good one, but not a good enough.

The reason of why characters didn't even develop sh*t despite years and years going by is... 'uuhh? nuuuh, but we dun evun tulk, cun't just luv eech uther, uuuuuuhhh...'. Which is even more deplorable than the example from before, dunno if he got warned or just tried sucking on daddies' balls a bit too damn much that it ruined the novel's life. <<less

great premise. has system. no obvious harem shoveled down our throats. EXCEPT shitty translation by shitty translators.... from 60+ chapters onwards EVERYTHING IS MACHINE TRANSLATED.

wait for a decent group to pick up and not a shithead who just wants to put it out there even tho he/she/it provides a bollocks product.

stay away translations are crap.
