But what’s the status of my scenario importance? Every time I act alongside the protagonist Leonardo, my scenario importance rises bit by bit.
Alright, if I’m stuck like this, I’ll cling to the protagonist’s side and try to survive until the end, no matter how pitiful it feels.
“Are you planning to leave me behind? If you do, you’ll have to watch your very own hero groveling on the floor, begging for just a sliver of your attention. Is that what you want?”
Maybe it’s because I’ve been sticking so close to him, but it feels like the protagonist is developing separation anxiety.
“Darling.”
Suddenly, he calls me darling.
Well, whatever. It’s the protagonist doing it, so there must be some reason behind it.
“Uh, yeah. Darling.”

Later in the novel, he's given a few abilities that are likely just to help move the plot forward without glaring plot holes. One of such is the stereotypical 'storage' skill that a lot of these kind of novels often give their protagonist, so it's hard to pick issues with it. When stepping back, it's easy to acknowledge that if he didn't earn this skill, you'd need to suspend quite a bit of disbelief on how the MC would transport Leovald's body especially when the Ertinez family is suspicious of them. And, of course there is most definitely no way the MC would be willing nor able to leave the body behind when it's being actively pursued.
The other skill that is given to him is the Lovers telepathy skill which honestly I don't think is the most cheat-like considering that the protagonist has shown that he can definitely work without it before and after getting this skill and it's used for more character interaction over than just convenience. It gives you more insight into the characters in question...
One of the exploits the MC uses is the information panel, which is part of the setting he has an actor and isn't overpowered or all-knowing. It's not only a really important narrative aspect for the story that gives more weight to the world and the MC's setting as an otherworldly actor, it's also balanced out by making him earn most of the information in the panel and/or only giving him puzzle pieces and not the full picture. Initially, a lot if not all of the information seem to be information that would be on the plausible end for someone of the world to know or something he could plausibly find for himself. The other information that he may not necessarily know adds to his character setting in a way as well-- as his character setting as an actor. Knowing the frameworks of the script, but not the full picture.
The MC is allowed to develop trauma responses to genuinely horrifying events like the scene where he was forced through several resets. He's allowed to have adverse reactions to being underground and nightmares from traumatizing events such as watching Leovald die. However, what I really enjoyed from it is that the more subtle approach to it? Well, not exactly subtle considering that the nightmares are pretty blatant, but it never overtakes the story completely. This is something
that I've noticed can happen a lot especially in romance novels.
One aspects I really enjoy is Leovald's point of view of the MC, as it really builds their budding relationship and also the MC's significance both to the world and his one Protagonist. It also takes out the bias the MC might have for his own POV of what he seems like to what he actually is. While it only happens 1-2 times, you also get to see how other extras see the MC as well giving him a more fleshed out feeling character.
I really really value that the MC thinks about the characters outside the given ones (Leovald & Vittorio). More specifically in this case-- He still thinks of the original Leonardo who he perceives as dead and treats it with proper somberness. I really enjoy how he still feels guilty when being actor overlaps with being a liar as the other people around him become more grounded and realistic. It's both not overplayed and yet given a chance to be known.
He starts to suffer from existentialism as Leonardo comes to light as someone who is still alive. I love that he's allowed to be anxious and unsure about his own identity!! He isn't just brushing something that must feel extremely disconcerting to side and actually feels the unease that would come to realizing you have less control than you thought... not only that but the
trust he shows for the MC here is felt-- he isn't just trusting the MC to ground him, it's a parallel to him naming the MC. He's trusting Leovald to the MC. While the MC was unsure of his own identity-- to the point of fearing making a new name for himself in case he lost everything that made him...
him, he still let Leovald name him-- no he WANTED Leovald to name him. It is the epitome of trust-- trusting his entire entity to Leovald, and here Leovald does the same for him. How much more could possibly show both of them as characters and their relationship to one another? They literally entrusted their entirety to one another.
While there might've been more perceived risk for the MC in this case, it doesn't feel like it for Leovald whose own situation is one lacking test and reliability.
Vittorio gives some insights to scenes we, the audience wasn't present for, which demonstrates his own weight as a smart character, the MC as a caring person with insight, and also a snippet into how the MC thinks/acts.
I... also really really like the domestic scenes between all three of them. Like... It's really really good... they're already family even if Vittorio is somehow the ONLY ONE WHO NOTICES. HELLO? ARE YOU GUYS BLIND ? !?!? EVERYONE SEES IT BESIDES YOU TOO.
I really like how well played the fact that you don't initially have a name for the MC is. While I might be reading lightly, it's really good that It didn't feel that out of place/odd that you don't know the MC's name until it becomes a point of contention. Not only that, the significance placed on it is so so tasty.
"I'm curious about you" and "I came for you" ended up being one of the most romantic things I've ever read.
Wasn't it way too crazy to meet the actual Leonardo? The fact he's presented as an obvious cliche while it being a guise and yet both acting like what is expected of his original personality. Not only that the way he's not ignorant? Like oh my god, is that not the biggest twist ever? He's important and he knows details that even the MC himself totally doesn't have desite his setting? The fact he's not the sole person to have the setting and how intricately this is tied to the two's journey?
Also I just feel like he was an insane plot twist of his own.
