It wasn't a bad read up until the tragedy, which kind of read like a comedy because it was so abrupt?

Imagine an episode on Cartoon Network where a main character suddenly explodes into blood and gore, this is pretty much what happens...

[collapse]

Very difficult to take seriously and it was so strangely explicit (the fight detailed before was pure magical and very generic, with no descriptions), that I thought the novel was going to bring out a director that says: "cut!" and then turns out the whole thing was a bad movie or something...

It doesn't happen. Instead some more ridiculous things happen and in the end I have no idea what I read at all lol <<less

So the only thing you can find here is drama. Romance, fantasy world, revenge, fights - nothing is really worth mentioning. And all 'adventure' happens in one place.

Behavior of everyone is so illogical that I can't even say that they are like kids. Because even kids won't do such pathetic things. It's like bill Gates made windows so he simply can play Bomberman...

main Id*t destroyed world because couple of guys from this world killed his beloved. EVERYONE. And it doesn't even feels like revenge because I don't really see good romance. Fight is also s*upid - short, without good description. Girl doesn't even talk before fighting with her lover. Where have you seen such girls? And giving powers to 2 guys so they can feel sorrowful before death - this is just illogical. Just put them in 2 cells and make some orks to r*pe the girls. Done - cheap and without risks. I think the only part author cared about is - world destruction. And even this part is pathetic. MC decided to develop magic to destroy everything except him and his lover.. really? Guy wanted to destroy everyone and live with girlfriend in empty world? He thought girl will be happy?

I really loved this story. It was really sweet, but nonetheless a tragedy. That only comes until the end. It is the tragic tale of two people forced to be enemies when they truly loved each other.

I just typed in the words "Demon King" and looked at the titles that showed up. "Demon King" is such an odd title. It always is the villain character, rather than just the king of another species or another race. The Demon King is expected to be evil, even though many stories explore this... more>> archetype not being that way. What is it that the Demon King wants? Why is he the 'bad guy'?

This story kind of explored that by making the MC reincarnate into the villainous role.

Spoiler

It's told from the perspective of the demon king who lost his humanity and his emotions. He feels obligated to fulfill his role without question, as if fate has deemed it to be that way. It's odd because he is technically is a victim since he never asked for any of this. Either way, despite his position, he still loves the heroine despite the fact that he is supposed to defeat her.

It's sad because he feels intricately linked to his role as the villain, and plays that role pretty much until the end. He does not feel like he can overcome his fate as a villain and just does what he was told to do, (which would be destroying the world), while the heroine decided to ignore all that so she could be with him.

In the end he destroyed the world, doing what he was supposed to do. It was just so sad because he wanted to be with the hero from the beginning, and they never got to be together. At least they let the other know of their feelings for each other.
