“I can’t promise you love, but I’ll have no other woman but you.”

I thought it would be okay. Even if he didn’t love me, I thought my love would make our marriage happy. But that naive wish was soon shattered.

Because Lizzena, Raymond’s first love, came back with a kid.

“Lize is trying to make her child be the First Prince,” he told me.

“Let’s get a divorce.”

I decided to abandon him.

***

“What?”

Raymond’s eyes shook violently as if he didn’t understand my words. His agitation, seen for the first time, for some reason made me feel relieved.

I opened my lips to him again with a soft smile: “I want to leave you. So Raymond, let’s stop now. Divorce me.”

It was the end of a long unrequited love.

Seriously want to crack up open the skulls of those who rate it 5 stars to check what's going on in their noggin.

Yes, unlike most reviews claim, this isn't a ML that cheats. This is just a trope, overly angsty, brimming with misunderstandings toxic novel.

The issue with ML for the most part is that he treats MC as granted, her political support (that helped him to overthrow the emperor and crown prince), her emotional support (she had always been there for him since they got to know each other, even... more>> after he found a lover), her presence entirely is taken as a literal pillar that he placed himself neatly in a corner for emotional reassurance.

He's objectifying her.

They had a marriage with the grounds of him declaring that he couldn't/wouldn't/doesn't love her. He treated her as hot air until his feelings changed and takes her again for granted that she'll follow up with whatever he wants. Never once did he bother inquiring about her wellbeing and feelings directly even after she suffered from a miscarriage. Indifference was his middle name.

Of course ML suffered up to that point before becoming Emperor enough emotional damages himself but this doesn't give him the green card to drag others into his emotional mess and it's definitely not MC's responsibility to take care of it.

She basically gets ruined by him and the whole story is about how he learns to love and treat others with love again. MC is just collateral damage along the way, I wish they didn't have children to bring into this messy relationship before even sorting their own troubles out, let alone their relationship together.

Spoiler

Why is it toxic? Apart from the neglect and indifference, he would calmly accept Lizzena's return (Ex lover) with fanfare by attending her welcome banquet and the surprise illegitimate child she brought along without suspicion but would boil with jealousy looking at MC dancing with someone else while he's dancing with his ex....

He wanted to make the illegitimate child the empress's adopted child without thinking that would make her feel, nor ask about her opinion, just plainly lays this plan of his on the table like she should be thankful towards him for giving her a child she couldn't have (she was told she couldn't have children after that one miscarriage).

This prompted her to bring up a divorce, which he rejected with rage saying they didn't marry for love anyway and just say she's jealous and doesn't want to adopt the child. GJ GJ

The divorce finalizes after some struggles and MC gets away for a while, but ML was looking for her the entire time, being rude and antagonistic towards his father-in-law, the duke that helped him gain the throne. So, ML finds out about their child (she became pregnant shortly before Lizzena's return) and thinks it's someone else's. He didn't even harbour such suspicions towards a ex lover who was the concubine of a king in another country and returned after 6 years with a child in her arms (at least not in the beginning). It was also this unguarded position of ML that allowed Lizzena to carry out all sorts of acts under his eyelid, whether it was to pretend that the ex lovers still had a flame for each other or the value and love ML tried to put into Edmund (Lizzena's child) or direct attacks of assassinations.

All of that just screamed plot convenience to me, because if Lizzena never returned, with child or not, he'd never realize MC's importance to him and MC wouldn't also realize that she should've drawn a line sooner between themselves. ML is an absolute lost case if it was one of the typical villainess reincarnation/transmigration novels and Lizzena wouldn't go full ham on cannon foddering, trying to tear people apart just to bring them closer together.

The miracle child as well is just a tool for her to bring herself to accept her son's father again because she's doing it for her son's happiness. Surprise surprise, she accepts his regrets in the end.... *sigh*

Lizzena's involvement in this novel is suspicious. ML loved her like the moon and stars just to realize his feelings for her were like a deflated balloon. Compared to how much he was bragging about her and their feelings in front of MC before Lizzena was sent away as a concubine, you couldn't really imagine him to have this luke warm feeling towards Lizzena. It was really like as if someone turned on the wrong switch in him that decided this plot should go down a certain way (more like he got yanked towards the other direction on a leash since he's so damn BETA).

ML, along with drawing a line between MC at their wedding, also declared that he will not have another woman besides her. But the reason for it was thanks to his mother's miserable end, not because MC deserves to be treated right or anything. It genuinely felt like he was exploiting her feelings for him.

As for MC, the only blame I can let her carry is her absolute terrible taste in men. I can't complain about her being a more silent party in their marriage as before mentioned it was a loveless one, declared by ML himself. So she can't really cry about not receiving attention, love or care a spouse/lover should.

Remarried Empress but straight to the point

The FL in this novel has my utter respect cuz despite loving the emperor deeply (really I feel for her so much) she's the only one I have read so far that swiftly and without qualms decides to step up, REALLY step up for herself and get the f*ck out of the toxic relationship, unlike so many others that say they will but in the end simply trap themselfs taking their sweet time and don't take action because it won't look good.

Thing went... more>> down the drain for her making her fricking miserable and she took the decision to leave, because f*ck this shit, don't care if it looks bad things are already bad as they are and I want to be happy. So... Respect!

Tho despite everything said before I don't hate the ML, both of them suffer a lot and he isn't bad really, damn I would even say he is decent compared to other male leads out there, he's damaged but still redeemable in a god way, just don't be a f*cking rock to your wife dude, I know love was never promised but still man pay more attention. <<less

My eye twitches every time I read stuff like this. The story is pretty well written but its beyond annoying when the FL decides to do better for herself only to go running back into her ab*ser/ neglecters arms.

Why is it so hard for writers to make novels NOT misogynistic?

Why does this woman have to live in a decade of lonely misery then dismiss it like some simple misunderstanding?

She could have been with someone that wasn't the father of her child but I guess that was asking too much for... more>> romance webnovels these days. *Sigh <<less

Should have been renamed to I Will Accept Your Regrets. Because in the end, the female lead does accept the ab*se, returns and forgives the ML. Not saying I'm particularly mad at that specifically, but it felt like I was scammed with a false advertisement. Of course, we have all the cliches of an angsty novel. ML doesn't love the MC. Treats her like crap and takes her for granted. Past love shows up and the ML throws the main character away. Main character has enough and divorces. ML regrets.... more>> It's all a misunderstanding. The past lover is annoying and insufferable. The MC forgives because she sees that the ML is just 'damaged'. Repeat x100

Can it get anymore original 😒 Everything seems written just to make the readers mad or angry at the ML and the past lover. The MC is pitiful yet strong, the perfect woman or whatever. She's accepted everything he's done yet draws the line at when he brings another woman into the household. She says she's never coming back yet comes back anyway. She was strong and decisive at the start regarding their divorce yet becomes all wishy washy when she gets to know the ML better. I sincerely hope to read a novel someday where the main character gets out of the torture she experiences asap, and has the mental fortitude to not fall for the MLs pathetic pandering after he realises what he's done. And okay, giving the novel the benefit of the doubt, the women are constrained by the expectations of their era.

But if you were gonna divorce in the first place, can't you divorce sooner and stay divorced?! The main character's dad isn't even a douche like other one's I've seen. She had the ability to leave but the author forced her to stay because it'll make for a more melodramatic story. Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh. I'm sick of these types of angsty regret divorce yet come back novels though, so it's more of a personal grudge. If you're up for abusing yourself with brainless drama and annoying angst go for it. The writing is good and the beginning is bearable, just be aware that SHE DOES ACCEPT HIS REGRETS. <<less

C1-5 Review

All is great, plot is amazing though not so new to me but still delivered well.

Spoiler

We have a three lead chars victim of situations. I can't hate the old lover at the moment coz her love was taken away from her, being exiled and everything.

The ML became passive and cold bec of that, the MC stayed with him the whole time and they married.

MC is selfconcious and pessimistic, she is happy that she married ML though there's no love from him. She know this from the start, the ML promised her to be his only woman but he cannot promise love which she accepted hoping the love will develop in the future.

Her delusions and low confidence made her think of possibilities that ML will never love her ever. She was happy that she became pregnant at first that maybe this time, ML will look at her but unfortunately she miscarried. That again made a gap with their already distant relationship.

But again, she became pregnant with hope again that maybe this time ML will love her but before she can even tell her good news, it was shattered by the news that the old lover is coming back.

All this time (yup since c.1-c.5 she is always a downer) she is always on edge and that broke her self esteem more. She think she is a villain that made the perfect couple broke up. She married ML and wanted to be happy herself. She was disturbed by herself that she become possessive of ML though only in her mind.

The big shock was the old lover brought a child claiming it was ML child but really I think the former crown prince, ML's brother is the father of that boy.

She always felt guilty bec she knows ML doesn't belong to her, she knows herself that she took advantage of the situation and married the ML. That's why she has no confidence at all, her conscience hitting more after the old lover came back, knowing she is just an extra in thier life.

And even if he is the father (hopefully not!), it's not cheating bec. They are lovers at that time and MC is just a friend, and she never confessed to ML. I even think, she never showed she loved the ML which became another misunderstanding.

C6-7 Review

Spoiler

We are finally gonna see the start of "happening" in the synosis above ? And I can't wait for it.

This chap, we see a glimpse of MLs POV, he is also a bit of dumbo but I like how he took responsibility of the child though he himself doubt it's his child w/c later confirmed but I'm sure there will be a massive bomb in the future. Maybe it's the First Prince son after all (Finger's cross!! Please let it be not his son! ?)

The ML was used to MC being led by him so he is obnoxious about MCs feeling at all. Yup, he's a bit on the Psycho side too. Pair him with our downer MC, they are perfect fit!

Don't blame ML about his indifference yet, from his POV. It clearly shows that MC is not expressing her love well so I think ML also thought MC is just like a companion.

First few chapters have me interested. I'm getting a heart-wrenching, I will get frustrated at characters vibe (with hopes that there will be good character development) type of feeling. Sometimes I just want to read a heart strings pull story that makes you cry, once in a while. Off topic: I need to fill the void from my fiancee is in love with my sister.

All I hope is that the husband isn't as much of a douchebag, based on the little information we're learning from FL's perspective. This couple lacks... more>> communication. It's too early to know if the husband is the ML, or if someone else is. Husband is ML.

The other girl hasn't even made an official appearance, but I'm getting Rastash vibes... her name was something like that in other novel... you'll know who I mean. The story has potential so I'm giving it a chance to develop before saying "bye Felicia" <<less

Another misunderstanding/miscommunication novel... I will leave my rating blank & review neutral because I don't think it is fair to these types of novels to give premature bad ratings/criticize the ML because majority of these novels are written from the perspective of a clueless unreliable FL narrator who the author uses intentionally to paint the ML as the crappiest person on earth (probably not true). Besides, it is a redemption novel... there is 2-sides to every story (like usual) but most like to jump to conclusions like the FL. If... more>> you don't want to open your hearts to the idea of a redemption... don't read a redemption novel. I'm not saying you have to unquestioningly accept any redemption... but you at least need to SEE it or the other side of the story. Afterwards, make any opinions you want. I don't know what is more predictable - the setup for these novels or the reader's ire/comments for the majority of the novel as the author intentionally drags out the misunderstanding to hold reader's interest.

I'll come back and update this once I finish the novel, either the translation or original raw.

But chances are... this review page will be bombarded with misleading reviews, full of assumptions, that will only discourage with new readers. <<less

Better than I expected. I'll mark the spoilers for those who are interested in reading a little ahead.

The premise of the story has been rehashed a million times. Male lead falls out of love with the female lead (in this particular case though, he has never been in love with her to begin with) to get together with another woman. However, there's nuances in this story that make it much easier to suspend your disbelief. It doesn't change the fact that both of the main characters are a little low... more>> on the IQ side regarding romance, but Ellie has braced herself for this outcome herself. She thought she would be content as long as she was by Raymond, but as time progressed she got more and more lonely to be with him. Raymond took Ellie's love for granted and never attempted to rekindle the slowly but surely burning fire of love from her for years. Eventually, fire is extinguished, as even the brightest burning fire needs both people to contribute to burn forever. Even without Lize's introduction to the story, this was an inevitable conclusion; she was merely the straw that broke the camel's back.

Spoiler

What surprised me is how maturely this drama is handled, outside of Raymond's outburst to lock Ellie in her chambers for a day. But he's only human; I'm willing to overlook the fact that he handled Ellie's request for divorce poorly, poor lad probably didn't understand the feelings himself. Lize did what she and her son could do survive, but doesn't harbor any ill feelings towards Ellie. Ellie herself wishes Lize for happiness with Raymond and divorces him. Raymond realizes the futility in keeping her against her will after talk with Ellie's father, and lets her go. As it's a divorce between an emperor and an empress, it wouldn't do to remain in the country, so she decides to quietly move to another country, pregnant with emperor's child unbeknownst to him.

[collapse]

The latest chapter I read introduced a lot of annoying tropes I hate about these kinds of stories, but it has merely been an introduction and I have not seen what unfolds from there. If it turns out to flesh it out the same way as every other shoujo drama divorce novel I'll be extremely disappointed, but until where I read, it was at least not a complete disappointment. <<less

THIS NOVEL WAS SPECTACULAR 100/100. First of all I'd like to address one thing. The things @Doodoo said about the Emperor is complete and utter nonsense. He never "ab*sed" her in any way. I should know cuz I read the entire novel myself. The Emperor does not deserve so much hate. He never treated FL with "ab*se" in the first place. He just didn't reciprocate her feelings at first. However this story leads to a very huge character development for the Emperor. I think it's really good that his story... more>> and his feelings get to be understood as the novel progresses and he really redeemed himself. I think that's normal tho and he doesn't deserve hate. Others had no idea that he was the one who made the story very interesting in the first place and he was the character that made everything move smoothly, so why does he have so much hate? He's not like Ruvellus from Abandoned Empress in any way. In fact, he's so much better.

The story progresses at a normal pace, and as I said before, the character development of the leads are *chef's kiss*. If you look at it in a real life perspective, the characters act the way they are because of their environment, or their past or how they grew up, but as time flies, they gradually understood one another and managed to overcome their problems. I also love the cute moments of Carlisle with his parents.

Overall, I just completely love this story. Raymond never loved anyone soo deeply before.

Spoiler

I think Raymond's love for lisa in the past was just puppy love or infatuation. He then realized he loved Ellie truly. What he felt for her was true love but he never realized it until she left. People in real life are also like that. They do not realize the value of something until it is lost from them. I think that's a valuable lesson I got from this Novel.

[collapse]

I love that Raymond

*siiiiigh* honestly, the translator did an awesome job. Just the fact that they finished it instead of dropping back around ch110 where we could already see where it is going speaks volumes of their commitment. 5* for the translation.

STILL, I got to be honest. 2* for this story. Just because of the author. If you're wondering whether you should read it or not, 1rst things first.

FORGET the 1rst review where they compare it to remarried empress. That's an insult to one of the best novels we've got till now, when... more>> this one doesn't has 1/10 of the balls remarried empress had.

This is SUCH A WASTE of a wonderful/catchy title.

If you're hoping for a novel that takes the last steps remarried empress didn't take, then turn away now and keep searching (and if you find one, let me know).

Instead of spoilerish I'd consider it a warning, but anyways, here it goes:

The TLDR you need to know:

she goes back to her ex-husband, this story is about redeeming him instead of you know a woman rebuilding her life with a good (from the get go) guy, much less *le gasp* God-forbid letting her remarry someone other than her kid's father!!1!11 Ah the sacrilege!!! /irony

For real. Korean and overall Asian novels are still so trapped by the predominant and even subconscious chauvinism that it's hard to find something worth it.

And trust me, THIS IS NOT WORTH IT! Read it *only* if you want a redeem crappy ex husband story AND doesn't have anything better to read!

(There, you can stop here now and go pick something else to read. More In-depth reasons following, continue if you want ranting)

_________________________________________________________________________

Although this is not straight bad, it's completely BLAND, UNINSPIRING, lacking creativity and personality. All the while the story is more of what it could and should have been than what it was. It had everything laid off and making sense for it to take that path and take off yet it chooses to disregard plain logic and a better writing/choices to follow poor executed damsel in distress tropes (and even ex-machina and one of the worst title drops I've seen).

The characters are extremely generic. It's not to the level of "oh my god, this is someone's fanfic" but flirts with it. A few hours later finishing it and you don't remember their names or be able to describe their personality. Unless you mean things like "the kid is the fictional generic good and well behaved, too smart for his age, obedient kid that ppl want to have and meant to make you like them and have cute moments". He's more of a tool for writing than you know- a kid. Have you ever seen a kid that's 24/7 like this?

Even the well behaved kids are still you know... Kids.

Same with the support casting, you just know they're there for support and not cause they're ppl with their own wants and needs and well... Life. So it's more like "hmm, MC can't be alone, she needs some helping hands "friends". So let's give her characters that conveniently help and nothing more good friends".

So yeah, let's describe Jed: he's a good friend. The other guy: good employee. Maid: maid? Aaah she had a maid that was "almost part of the family" didn't she? (She's so much part of the family you barely remember her by the end.

Thankfully they didn't blatantly use the— wait, is that even a 2nd male lead??? To mess with our heart, cause well, the author didn't want to. You lose hope very soon after the time skip, the author makes it very clear he's not going after her and it's just there to be a tool a good friend. Make ex-hubby a bit jealous perhaps? Perhaps.

Overall the characters have no unique personality and no character growth. Only growth is from ex-hubby, that ofc has to realize he actually loved her and can't live without her. And ofc magically loves the perfect child he never knew he had from the get go. So you see, his small development is all so he can have some regrets and try to atone only for her to say "I won't accept your regrets, you don't need to go that far for me to accept you back!!" And baaam title drop! In a frigging blatantly dim and purposefully trying to convolute/problematize something that shouldn't have been a problem at all much less be solved by an ex-machina.

They say it (almost like this) in the story - heavy spoilers from the end:

Spoiler

"I won't accept his regrets, but his guilt (...) " *proceeds to her being moved by it - someone please explain to me how regret and guilt doesn't usually come together and how author traded th it for that

And then in the end, he's dieing by poison that he took trying to save their son, and then MCs basically forgotten by now magic powers finally come online by being the - what a coincidence!! - only way to get an antidote!! Yet, he refuses to tell her because he has to die a s*upid death to atone (???), and she goes "I won't accept your regrets! You've got to live and live with me" or smth like that.

You know. It doesn't even need to be from someone I like, if a stranger - much less the father of my child, feelings or no feelings - frigging dies right in front of me cause they didn't ask me to do something real simple for me, then really, I'd be the one regretting such an idiotic and vain death.

like ffs, it's much more of a bother to have someone dying on me cause I didn't bother to get up to get them water or something.

[collapse]

By the end it's like even the author didn't take it anymore, and wasn't even trying. They just slapped some ill executed tropes and let it die end.

I'm at the epilogue and fr can't be bothered to read the extras from these completely forgettable that mean nothing characters. I don't even "happy, romantic, cute moments" cause they mean nothing to me and are just a bore/chore to read.

You want to know how this novel should have gone?

MCs magic powers should have been used for something. Hopefully for her to not be a damsel in distress that needs an a$spull from her oh so powerful emperor ex-hubby for like 3+ times at least. Her true power was having him solve almost all her problems (or at least significant ones) for her.

If not being actually able to hold her own weight, then it should at least have been used to grow her enterprise - and not off screen like it happened!!

THen the other guy should have been an actual (2nd) male lead and you know what, she should not only have actually have married him and have him be the father to her child, but you know, have had a 2nd and 3rd child with him!

Then get some drama and conflict by still needing some, but less help (or having to cooperate) with ex-hubby and having to find some measure of balance and harmony in this. But for in the end, whatever ex-hubby pulled still not be enough (too little to late) for us to actually have the title drop we deserved and she then continue to be awfully happy with the guy you know, that has always been good for her from the get go and that already cared for the child.

There. The book/story we all deserved! but we never got <<less

Uhm, I kind of expected this novel to be one with a shitty ML cause the spoilers mostly talked about him cheating on the FL and the FL having miscarriage and etc. But it surprised me cause the ML wasn't shitty and all of the cheating thing was actually just a misunderstanding on the fl's part. I don't wanna spoil anyone so I won't talk about anything specific but to those who read the spoilers and expects the ML to be a scum, I just wanna say that the ML... more>> is not shitty and the FL isn't some weak, s*upid protagonist. The ML doesn't know how to express himself and is oblivious about his own feelings while the FL assumes everything on her own. They just lack communication with each other causing a lot of misunderstandings. But overall, the ML is definitely a faithful husband while the FL is a strong woman who knows what she wants. It's a good story and definitely teaches women to know when to stop loving someone who doesn't see your worth and start loving yourself more. <<less

Undecided about whether the story is good or bad. At the moment it gives me almost IDWTBL vibes and that's a bit of a red flag. I'm a bit more cautious about hating on MLs and am paranoid about FL's perspective atm.

As of now [Chapter 7] we see both FL and ML lead's perspectives. At the moment the one that's more unlikeable is ML. He looks like he takes FL's love for granted/is spoiled by her magnanimity/unable to pick up on her deeper but very obvious insecurities. Why are they... more>> obvious despite her not saying anything you ask?! Because he friggin told her he likely couldn't give her love and never indicated otherwise.

Rant about other things that upset me:

Spoiler

I see the misunderstandings tag so I'm waiting for the big reveal that ML isn't an insensitive jerk because as of now he kind of IS one. I can assume that part of it comes from FL's insecurity and unwillingness to ask him direct questions because of fear. But that somehow annoys me... Again?! Like Rhiannon... I wish that they dudn't with the "crazy, misunderstanding, deluded conclusion-jumper" trope

(Chapter 7) It seems that ML realizes after the fact (when he is inconsiderate) to some extent that he didn't consider how she is doing and understands she may be hurt but so what? He's not doing much about it. He reasons that she would never get mad and thinks he can just console/convince her like a child despite the situation being his fault. If he can't give her everything then he should have the decency to let her go! From how I see it he must've had at least a pretty frequent irresponsible bodily relationship with Liz for him to think it is feasible that the son is his. Don't treat FL like an obligation...

The former lover Liz is kind of a jerk too. I get the child deserves to meet its father and the father has a right to know but... Is it necessary to hurt and humiliate the man's legal wife in public like that? Yeah ML reasons that she did it because she was desperate but I don't buy that. She KNOWS ML is a kind understanding man so why would she assume he wouldn't unless she did this. I keep getting a suspicion that the author will pull a "Gotcha! Not his kid suckazzz!" so we won't hate ML.

I do feel bad for Liz's son though.

[collapse]

So far I like FL's father the best. A kind and faithful man. GO DAD! <<less

I ADORE that Ellie doesn't forgive Raymond until the very end - it's so much more realistic and satisfying that the ML has to actually work and make genuine changes to win the FL back. I was honestly shocked it took that long - most of the time the anger and hurt of the one mistreated goes away after 20-30 chapters, but Ellie held on until a real apology was offered and sincere changes in behavior were blatant. It was impressive, and I loved that Raymond accepted what... more>> he did and actually thought about what he did wrong - and then DIDN'T get everything right when he tried to apologize and make up for his mistakes. There was real character growth for both leads, and the writing of it was really thoughtful and impressively well done.

There was also character development for the villains and side characters of the story, although I had some issues with how Edmund was written after the time skip - he's 13, but still written more as a little kid instead of a teenager until the end. The slow descent into madness and victim blaming of the scheming villains was beautifully written and very subtle. All in all nicely done all around.

I read this on a site that starts with watt and ends with pad, with the tag of koreannovel, for those who are looking for a complete tl

I know most people are frustrated with the ml. I am too. But the FL frustrates me more.

1. Sigh, I say this again, love is a choice not a disease. How do you make another person your whole reason of existence? It really pissed me off that she was so caught up in her despair over his ex returning that she endangered her pregnancy. Like ma'am you have another person that should matter more.

2. So over people assuming things without proper communication. Such drama is so contrived. Both ML and... more>> FL at fault.

3.

And damn you authors for not giving us a proper story were couples break a toxic relationship and it stays like that. Stop using kids to force couples back together

This is the kind of novel I like, the angst is there and the drama started in less than 20 chapter. The story moves fast but not bad I like the progress of the story.

I cried at the last chapter idk why but I feel sad for Jeremyyy but I'm relieved that the author closed the chapter between Jeremy and Ellie well.

Kudos to translator too for translating this novel thank you so much!

So many misunderstanding and heartaches.

The story is interesting enough to make me wanna keep reading. This novel got me a second ML syndrome, which I actually still don't know which one is the male lead and which one is the second male lead and who she'll end up with. But to be honest I really like both of the ML... I mean the ex husband was written to be a jrk, so I don't really like him at first, but after lots of chapters, it was depicted how he really... more>> regret his past deeds, and I think what happens in the past was because of misunderstandings and not solely the husband's fault. And I think my heart reading it already forgiven him for the past mistakes. So I felt like I'm starting to like this character a bit more and more. But I also like the other guy in FL's life so I'm a bit conflicted about which one to ship lol. Whatever, I'll keep reading till the end to find out who she'll end up with and just hope the best for her.

Anyway it was enjoyable read for me so, recommended! :) <<less

The story is very good. I have read it completed. Read the novel because I was too curious after following the manhwa. I really like this type of story, which ML woulds sorry for wasting FL/like Regret type of story. FL really loves ML but not too s*upid, she can still think rationally if her love is no longer useful.

ML isn't too tr*shy, even though he's cold to FL at first their marriage, he can still be forgiven. But what I don't understand is that we know that FL is... more>> ML's best friend but how come when they're married, ML becomes indifferent, like hey, , , before she became your wife she was your best friend!!!, how come you can be cold with your friends. At least live your relationship like a friend if there is no love.

But I feel sorry for what happened to ML,

like not knowing that he has a biological child who is separated from him for 6 years, but instead takes care of his enemy's child. I can't imagine how angry he is.

I like the ending though. Everyone is happy, except 2nd ML just standing there looking at FL's happiness and feeling enough. <<less
