He starts as normal friends with the group, there is no indication I noticed that they thought of him as anything other than a friend... but then they knock him to the ground and begin to literally stomp on him while insulting him for no reason?

But that isn't enough next up is immediate (and I do mean immediate) and random in*est with the mom walking in and going "oh well it's ok you're adopted anyways"

It was at that point I began to feel I was losing brain cells. I made it to chapter 3 and don't really have the desire to read further. It was supposed to be a "real world" setting but I couldn't imagine any of this happening in the real world and my suspension of disbelief was shattered. <<less

Former childhood hit the MC with car and almost kill him, but he only got partial amnesia after wake up from coma for several months. They got caught after that due cctv there. The father blame MC but he himself not teach her child properly so she became like that. Also MC got his memory back after that encounter. Now waiting for rest of former childhood fate after prison time.

I would recommend you reading this to stimulate some of your neurons. Try not to think too much of the many plotholes and questionable things that makes you go dumbfounded or leave a rant. All in all, the title and tags delivered its purpose.

Spoiler

It is a generic MC-gets-betrayed-and-his-harem-comforts-him story. Girls who were interested in MC are both his stepsisters and an overly cliche damsel-in-distress-prettiest-girl-in-school. The amnesia part of the story is a nice twist, but the execution is mid.

Things that are good in this novel:

    • MC has friends that AREN'T love interests and just there to actively support him. Seeing their perspective is pretty nice too.
    • Childhood friends that are actually evil and although the end result wasn't satisfying after what happened to the MC the perpetrators aren't the lousy type that begs for forgiveness (aside from one).
    • Slice-of-life goodness. If you remove the betrayal and revenge chapters it would be just a harem novel and I'm a sucker for these.

Honestly not as bad as I thought. The premise is good and the MC isn't a pu*sy ass cuck.

Currently the main story is done, but the author is releasing an after story in the raws (I MTL'd to read them)

I'd say give it a try.

It's a good, light-hearted, slice-of-life wish-fulfillment sort of story. Short chapters, good translation/grammar. The character development is mostly superficial, but it's still there.

Betrayal and revenge don't play a huge role. The 4th arc seems to be focused on revenge (I read ahead with MTL), but even then I doubt it will be too serious.
