The main character is incomprehensible. His actions often (usually) knowingly work against his goals, he seems to have a literal fetish for making enemies, he acts and thinks like he's weak then massacres an army without blinking an eye.

The main issue is that there's no real goal or anything, no motivation. He wants to be stronger to be stronger I guess, and he wants strong enemies because ??? It doesn't seem like he really wants to defeat strong opponents either, just wants them to hate him. It's all first person... more>> POV and he spends a lot of time thinking and planning, but it's all frivolous thoughts or short-term planning. This is all despite supposedly having a really strong soul, which is all about having strong desires, which... well, he hasn't really shown any desires at all up to the most recent WN chapter other than enjoying being viewed as an enemy.

This kind of character is acceptable as a villain. He's reminiscent of Batman's Joker... but... without a proper Batman to serve as a constant foil, it just doesn't work as a main character. The only "justice" in the story tends to get saved by the main character, then goes off to train and only show up in occasional side stories after that.

There are a number of good scenes so I didn't give it a 1* and the concept/setting had possibility, but it's wasted on the main character. <<less

This novel really has potential. But sadly, The MC is bad. He is like a wannabe villain. He has no goal, being edgy most of the times and always makes an irrational decision. I'm feeling sad that goddess fell in love with this bullshit.

Save a very few bits which got a hearty chuckle out of me, this is pretty much Basic-biatch edgelord 101.

And not even an interesting edgelord, just basic-biatch edgy edge with a healthy heaping helping of MOAR edge.

If the MC is an author self-insert, the world would not lose in terms of humanity if the author were to happen upon a misfortunate Minecrafting incident, because the world doesn't need more basic-biatch edgelords.

I've read the manga and came here to see if the novel was better and well I'm disappointed. The premise and setting was really interesting but the main character ruined it. Honestly the personality of main character is inconsistent because there's no concrete goals for him other than to become strong just for the sake of it.

If used properly, the setting could have been a great change in the isekai genre but due to how annoying the author makes the MC it's all dashed.

I rate 1.7 stars only because of... more>> the potential this had <<less

The MC is frustratingly annoying. If you want a wannabe edge lord villain MC, do it right!!!! And not the annoying one! I didn't like Overlord with its OP, do whatever I wanted villain eques, let's torture for fun but this MC takes, the cake! Inconsistent bastard! I can't even imagine that an MC I read for fun would frustrates me this much. I already didn't like the hide your ability and pretend weak MC's but this MC is so inconsistent in what he wants and wishy washy with no... more>> concrete goal that made me more irritated. <<less

Well its great story. Its a story which focuses on a villain MC and so of course most of the time MC won't do anythings that are actually good. And the story is still in its beginning state so I don't know how people got the idea that he wouldn't have any goal to achieve. If you expect the MC to be all lovey-dovey with every person he meets than pls skip this novel and you can avoid wasting your time on something you won't like. I personally love how... more>> he has been treating every other characters and his interactions with them. I might not like the harem aspect of this novel but till now there haven't been any sort of actual romance so i'll continue reading. Will recommend reading its manga since this doesn't seems to be getting translated. <<less

don't judge book by it's cover, oh boi read the manga first or raw WN.

this is not your tipical isekai, I repeat this is not tipical tr*sh isekai, there is alot twist and turn that will make you shock surprise even giving you dread for sudden change of event from rainbow to hell in instant.

this is what if MC is actually True evil, what if MC is not human / don't have any single humanity.

if you looking Very Evil isekai MC, brutality, gore here and there. This is a must... more>> read, but not read the translated novel because as you can see it lack chapter.

It's been a while since I've read this, but I remember enjoying it a lot. Good comedy, MC is a loveable jackass and a force of nature who wrecks the plans of the wicked.

This volume is basically filler, and it wasn't written that well. It exists just to setup the next volume.

- Surprise! The Church is actually corrupt, and the Head Paladin is an evil rapist. Said Paladin has a habit of going around seducing virg*ns, and apparently getting a few pregnant, but no one seems to notice or care.
- The drill instructor nun attaches herself to the MC for no discernible reason, other than her just wanting to be a teacher? And it has the makings of an awkwardly forced love triangle with Ari. She has no personality besides "jealous clingy teacher." She just comes off as pushy and annoying, seemingly there to be a love conflict for no reason.
- The Demon King in disguise is just hanging around in a rural adventurer's guild for no reason. He said that his goal is to destroy the world, but he can't kill anyone himself, so he has to find someone to do it for him. So why go to bumf*ck nowhere? He didn't know that Inori existed when he was summoned, so he apparently thought that this rural town was the perfect place to find the instrument of his revenge.
- Middle of the volume is filler that you can skip and not miss anything.
- Volume ends on a weak cliffhanger. Random Summoner chick wants revenge and to kill the church. Inori is going to use her to kill the church. Because... why? Why does Inori care about the church?
- Inori apparently was sent on request to make the kind witch he got True Dark Magic from into a long-lived vampire as a late reward, right on her deathbed. Weird thing, but I guess we're getting the Adventures of the Vampire Witch in the side stories now.

Volume 3 better knock it out of the park, or I'm dropping this. Which is a shame, because volume 1 was great. <<less
