“Scramble Love” is a Japanese hit love comedy manga that has accumulated over 10 million copies sold.

I was thrown into this manga that I had never read before.

And to top it all off, as an extra with no considerable influence.

So, this story is about a guy who ends up as an extra in a love comedy manga for boys. Its only been a few chapters so far but I like the main character for being himself instead of acting like the previous owner of his body.

Interesting so far, hope it continues.

Average. Perhaps higher if you're really into rom-com and battle manga tropes.

Honestly I liked the start more.

Spoiler

The MC starts out as kind of an outsider and just observes the manga trope nonsense. He just does his own thing. Working out, studying, and reading manga of course. Then he gets forced into things until he basically becomes the center of the 'story' and the OGMC is just a side character. He was a mature, chill dude, but now he's devolving into rom-com protag himself as there are numerous heroines that he can never say no to. He's not completely dense but of course he wouldn't pick a girl because harem. I was kinda hoping the author would subvert that trope and have him start dating Rika but she put off confessing despite giving Karen a push to confess to the OGMC. I mean as the other genre saavy character due to her love for manga you'd think she'd strike while the iron was hot. Shortly after another girl confesses to the MC and it's probably going to be a bog standard harem from here.

Well other than the eye rolling battle manga portions they phased in. Him working out started as kind of a joke about manga worlds. He needed it to survive, but things will probably escalate until he's one punch man. Kinda already is. There's some foreshadowing he might get involved with a ninja clan...

In short it started out as the MC kinda making jokes about the genre, and now he himself has become the joke. He didn't want to get involved but now he can't bring himself to treat them like characters from a manga.. so now he has to act like a manga protag himself. *cringe* I know I'm exaggerating a little but...

The story is cringe, as expected to a comedy.

Romantic but boring, nice storyline but feels s*upid. But it is interesting that you want to throw the book when someone asks you, why the f*ck are you reading this?

Why? Because it is pretty good despite its lame jokes.

... more>> If you like Jojo series, you will understand the bizarre situation in every scene, lol.

Sidekick or not, this is who you are. A nameless nobody. You can feel the presence of a loner who tried his best to survive in the trouble world. Or a single father who tries to find a way to keep his children move forward.

Romances is temporary, but the greatness is here in this Alpha Jojo parody-like series. <<less

It's really charming. It's up there with the best of em so far. The protagonist is a likable dull protagonist, because we see him contrast against the 'official' protag of the novel. It's a fun subtle thing but it's totally there, and I appreciate it being done so well for now.

**

The dull portrayal gets kicked up a notch, but I think its at least eased in well enough that you can either adjust with it well.

I think its getting very fun.

An interesting premise and very well executed

In shorts, it's about a guy who was possessing a mob korean character in a Japanese harem rom-com manga. MC doesn't know anything about the plot aside from the heroines' names and faces but only because he saw them by chance on Twitter polls.

So since he can't do anything about it he just decides to live his life normaly, what I like about MC is that he doesn't care if he interferes in the plot or not.

For the characters, most of them are great... more>> and third dimensional, my favorite is MC, he is basically a buffed JoJo but he has a pretty calm, wise and mature personality which is hilarious because it doesn't match his appearance at all. He is also top class in exam score.

For last, experienced readers will find funny how the novel is full of Japanese's cliches but they are handled from a Korean perspective. The author really likes to mock them.

If you like slice of life or rom com genre this is a must read. There is hardly any better novel than this. <<less

I've enjoyed it so far. Can't tell quite where its going yet, but interested to see

Its not jojo crazy kinda stuff like that cover made me think, its just a slightly unique setting where a guy goes into a manga, isn't the OG harem protaganist, but the OG guy is still around and seems to be a normal guy.

Starts promising but the plot is going nowhere, so far it seems that our 2m tall block of muscle is a matchmaker for the main protagonist of the manga his thrown into. A love comedy with drama, writing is so so, maybe below average, no parts that would make this work stand out. Gets boring really fast when you notice the author has no plan in his mind.

Really liked the story until my immersion was broken when he went to the club festival and was OP at literally every sport. Ok, he works out and somehow went from a noodle to a literal body builder in half a year by just training regularly. Its a romcom, things don't make sense, sure. But to be OP at all the sports even though he hasn't played them in his life when all the other characters have been playing their sports for ages and definitely been training harder than him... more>> for way longer just weirded me out. It was a little bit too Gary Stu for me, and I know he's supposed to be like that, that he's supposed to be a One Punch Man esque sort of character, but it just didn't sit right with me. Maybe it's because it's a romcom. I have high requirements for romcom leads. <<less

It's quite nice. It's actually a little more like a Japanese Rom com more than a Korean novel but it's still good. Characters are fun to read

This story is what happens when a character extra takes levels in badass. The romantic comedy "Scramble Love" is a shonen story that veers into History's Strongest Disciple combat battles where almost-superhuman fights begin and end with cool moves.

I recommend reading this story to enjoy classic Anime harem plots with a Korean protagonist. There is not a lot of fanservice up to chapter 68, but it could happen later.

The idea is fun. Basically a rom-com plot from the point of view of a musclebound side-character (that somehow gets a harem around him almost immediately)

The writing is funny, the character is likable and you can ignore plot holes as “well that’s just a trope in rom-cons”

My issue honestly is that it’s not zany enough and at this point I’m worried it will lose the conceit of “overpowered side character in a rom-con” especially when it seems to slowly focus less on the events happening around the MC and... more>> more on the MCs harem.

Let me be the first to say, I’m not against harems, I know what I got into when I saw the tag, but I feel it does squander a bit of its concept if it goes down the less original route of being a romcom instead of just playing around with the tropes of it.

So far 4 stars. It’s a decent read and I am still reading but honestly, I might drop it to 3 if it does play things safe instead of play around in the setting the author set up for themselves. <<less

A humorous story of person transmigrated into a manga.

In the beginning, it was a normal slice of life story with comedic absurdity of MC being Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure character stuck in middle of such romcom. That is until the romcom manga author decide to change plot direction mid way to boost popularity just for the sake of it.

In conclusion, we have MC equivalent of Jojo character stuck in a blood boiling shonen manga.

He fit right in.
