Suprisingly entertaining and a bit wholesome?. After reading two novels about vtubers, and not getting hook at it, I thought I just don't prefer this type of story. But this one is quite different.

Cuteness is justice is what the theme of this story. Basically, the MC is very feminine despite being a guy, and that was brought not just in real life but also in VTuber world. The thing that I mostly don't like in Vtuber setting stories is how fake the character acts and how what their doing is... more>> not actually enough for them to popular but they did.

The different thing about this story, is the MC's selling point is just because he's cute. Yup, that's it. It seems quite boring and absurd. Despite being a vtuber though albeit indie, he immediately revealed his real life persona, and even attend at a cosplay event. At this point, he's becoming quite celebrity and vtuber. Well, that's because he's cute enough to sway guys. And this is not intentional, he's actually the one getting dragged around by the onee-sans.

The story is really ridiculous, but the writing is quite solid and very entertaining. We get an occasional other person's POV about the MC, which is really interesting. There are also other things/people/twist that makes the story very entertaining.

Highly recommend this for those who want a quite relaxing cute story. <<less

1. Story goes as title says. It's a good vtuber story with a lot of hilarious absurd things which makes it a lot more interesting.
2. About translation, I have to admit that translator did really great job in it. I have to admit that he did the best a translator can do. He make the story a lot fun to read. It was really a good novel to read with empty mind.

This novel combines VTuber culture, which I've always found interesting, and a good bit of absurdity. Keeps me wanting more, will be keeping this on my list. The story is pretty casual, so it's an easy read.

The story is cute, Yuki is cute. I love how light hearted it is and how everyone around him seems to be related to vtubing one way or the other.

But the 2nd translator needs to keep their consistency in check, they sometimes change the name of characters and doesnt really keep the character charms like the way the 1st translator did.

Extremely funny throughout. Unfortunately the second translator didn't manage to capture the tone as well as the first one, but it was still quite entertaining up to that point (I'd say the second translation is still decent enough, but it's the contrast to the previous one that makes it hard to read for me).

A lot of the humour comes from internet reactions, both during the streams and in forums afterwards, but it's also fun whenever the MC loses himself in the role on occasion, or forgets that he was even... more>> crossdressing.

And for the more cautious readers, he's still interested in women, so being a trap doesn't make it (or readers) gay... probably.

And for potential readers with different apprehensions, there's quite a bit of shota fetishism being mentioned, though nothing explicit (there are mentions of "derivative works", but not their actual content - "cultured" readers will understand the implications). So if that's a deal-breaker for you, it's better to know early on, I suppose. <<less
