Having read until volume 6 in japanese, it is quite incredible one of the few modern romcom portraying the most human characters and natural Chara development and growth has such a poor rating.

It's easily one of the best written novel currently on the market and one of the few where you can probably understand the reactions of the characters, how they evolve, why they did such actions and all.

the translation isnt available yet but I would advise reading at least until the end of volume 3 before judging it.

The story is interesting but is in desperate need of editing. Pronouns are all over the place and there's some serious logic errors, repeat sentences, and grammar problems.

I want to continue reading but I'm honestly struggling just to understand the conversations between the characters as they often don't make sense at all.

I agree wholeheartedly with Zakoo. This novel presents well developed, realistic characters in realistic scenarios, with actual plot, emotional development, and true dramatic tension. The low rating of this novel in view of the unjustifiably high ratings for other, garbage light novels on this site (I am looking directly at you, "Date This Super Cute Me!") boggles my mind. The reason for the break up is s*upid (although it's really sus but it really is the reason), and the fault in here is with the Ex.

s*upid 2:

The MC and Mayu got together, but after he cleared the misunderstanding with the ex. They started to grow closer again and hang out, imo is considered cheating more than the reason they broke up. But this time the one getting cheated on is Mayu by the MC with his Ex.

He supposed to know what it feels like being cheated with yet he's doing it too? So f*cking s*upid.

The friend, we clearly know she have feelings for the MC yet she's not taking the stage for herself. She even knows the MC is cheating on Mayu yet she's not doing anything about it. Al though even with this shortcomings, she is the best girl imo.

Mayu, why? I just don't like her and she's s*upid for that reason.

To be clear, I really like the story and the characters in it. I think the premise is interesting, from a glance (Since I've yet to read the rest of the translations) the characters have a nice depth to them.

I just wish the translations were better. They desperately need a proofreader and they do acknowledge that fact but it does make it less fun and frustrating to read through. There's obvious pronoun error and even... more>> pronoun errors that contradict each other sometimes!. There's parts of sentences which are repeated which will often make you think "Wait, didn't I just read that?" and make you re-read what was just said because you thought you lost your spot.

Perhaps the translation quality is better in later chapters but, at the time of writing, they make it a chore to read. So much so that even though I really want to continue reading this it makes me not want to. <<less
