I Was Caught up in a Hero Summoning, but That World Is at Peace (WN)

It all happened so abruptly. After finally grasping my situation, I found myself in an entirely different world. Looking around, I noticed others in the same predicament… Could this possibly be one of those Hero developments?

Was there a tyrannical Demon Lord needing extermination, or would I be tossed into the maelstrom of war? Whatever it was, I was afraid. I never wanted to be a Hero. I don’t want to harm another…… Ignore the nonsense I was spouting; there was nothing to fret over.

The Demon Lord was slain a thousand years ago, and 800 years had passed since the last war. The nobles didn’t treat us summoned like tr*sh; instead, we were kindly cared for. The Demons have been on good terms with Humans for some time now. Dangers, such as monsters, were being taken care of by the Guild and the Order of Knights. What’s more surprising is the fact that I wasn’t even a hero! Instead, I was unintentionally summoned!

It also turns out that this world was a world in which the three races, the Spirit World’s Magical Races, the Celestial World’s Divine Races, and the Mortal World’s Human Races, are kind neighbors. Here, everyone lives a peaceful and fulfilling life.

In summary, this other world was――at peace.

What’s my plan for the future? For my limited stay here, I will live this world to its fullest; going on a cultural exchange, sightseeing, then, after experiencing the festival that is only held once every ten years, …… I shall safely return home.

However, despite my lust for a peaceful last year before returning, this planet’s heavyweights have begun amassing around me, and……

This is a really relaxing novel. It's well-written, each heroine (and there many, like MANY) gives a strong impression which makes us, reader, not forget about them. It's slice of life and easy going. It makes you feel relaxed and sweet when you read it. The story is all about our MC promoting his relationships with the heroines who he doesn't have a relationship with (he is not in a relationship with all of them) and spend time on going dates and etc. With the heroines he is... more>> dating. It got some awesome comedy which is seriously gonna make you laugh. The only downside to the story would be the amount of heroines and the fact that the readers are unable to see the heroines they like, spending time and start dating the MC, but that's just another charm of the story if you ask me. Gotta find the right situation for confession and stuff, right?

Well, that's why 5 starts! <<less

One of the best wholesome and peaceful isekai.I personally dont like isekai but this is good a mix of slice of life and isekai is the best. The harem isnt bad either. Overall a very soft novel.

ive read fairly far ahead and I love this wn but im awful at writing reviews,

the MC isnt op nor isnt cringeworthy. All of the characters have a personality, scenes are well fleshed out.

it kept me interested in wanting to know how things carried on so I ended up reading crappy mtl's and still loved it until I got distracted by another novel.

now im leaving it until a huge chunk is done so I can re-read

in the beginning it was fine, but in the later part it devolved into the usual harem trope :

MC meet new girls = budding love

MC got into ridiculous situations = chance to fill those affections meters!

in the early part this is pretty interesting with how our MC will grow into a "person" he's just a weak human, regular person, with a lot of weakness, and his strong point is just his kindness, but after he makes an effort to change suddenly his personality becoming a cardboard, it's just you usual... more>> harem protagonist : dense mofo, trouble magnet, chicks magnet, you know he got it all covered.

Spoiler

there's a lot situations where the girls clearly & blatantly showing her affection to him, and he still didn't catch it.

he being a japanese himself doesn't know what it means to say "make me miso soup everyday" to a girl is just pure ridiculous.

and his mental development after early parts is just gone, he just become a baby with everyone spoiling and showering him with excessive cares, you know in the end after every chapter there's always "dad and mom..." thing?that's him alright with everyone becoming his "mom".

[collapse]

even though it devolved into this, to be honest I still want to read it just because the mysteries surrounding the main heroine. <<less

Don't get me wrong, I think is good, but I have to get some things that annoy me about the story off my chest.

Alice

Spoiler

I know it's an unpopular opinion, as she is the most liked character second only to the main heroine, but I don't like her at all. Actually, I despise her. Most of her characterization is her doing something abserd and/or amazing and then getting scolded by the MC. She's literally the best at everything she does and has no weaknesses. She's poorly written and her entire character is based on gags.

[collapse]

Humor

Spoiler

For the same reason I don't like Alice, I don't like the "Serious senpai" gag at the end of each chapter. I guess my sense of humor is too different from the author.

Also, I get a sense that the author thinks they're really funny, but they rely on cheap gags all the time.

Characters A does something abserd, so character B decides to scold character A for two hours.

Like wtf. How is that funny?

Character C meets new important character. Character D gets upset stomach and faints because it's a new powerful important person. Character D scolds C for several hours when they wake up.

I'd say over 90% of the humor in this story is a miss for me.

Its not good but its not bad either, if I were to describe this novel it would be "My everyday life with overpowered girls in another world". Don't expect any serious story in here since there isn't any, and if there were, it would be brushed off quickly. There are no tr*shy characters but most of them aren't remarkable either (in my opinion). Its fun to read the chapters but I pretty much couldn't careless what happened after reading except when its about my favorite characters ... more>>

which are only Shiro and Alice, not exactly fond of anyone else outside of those two

This novel feels like playing persona in terms of the story being predominantly about the development of the support cast and them building their bonds with the MC (which happens to be uninteresting but has just about enough character to trigger the development) take on a trial. It's also similar in terms of how the story is segmented like fluff - serious - fluff (tho 9/10 is fluff or semi fluff here)

The thing that stands out to me the most however is the author's notes and the saga... more>> of the translator - commentors on the foxaholic site. Author's notes transform eventually to their own world and I came to enjoy the peanut gallery that develops as irrelevant characters keep getting added there tho it's a shame that the author himself goes and spoils minor stuff at times.

Novel loses a star because the fluff drags on for too long after the confessions start but I don't think that's too big of a downside for me to hate the novel yet (but I can understand the frustration of people who didn't get to binge up to the chapter I read) <<less

So far a good solid story. Harems tend to lose me in the long run as the author tends to run out of creative ways to make the ladies fall for the MC, yet this one does a decent job... though he needs to work on his reasons on why kaito falls for the girls. It makes him seem like an easy sleazy guy when you can hang out with him once and make him fall for the women.

Main complaint is how passive he is. He is beta to where... more>> you can strangle him and he'll apologize for making you strain your fingers. I'm not asking for a vindictive MC, but one that isnt ok with nearly dying dozens of times by accident just because a crazy girl strangles him. That joke was funny the first few times, but gets old after it hits the double digits.

Other than that, a solid 4 stars. <<less

I only got one thing to say about this novel, it’s extremely sugary SWEET! Prepare yourselves for a huge amount of sugar that will DEFINITELY cause you to have diabetes! That’s how fluffy and light-hearted this novel really is. It’s a really wonderful read to enjoy extreme happiness with a lot of sugar from reading this sweet novel. Absolute sweetness

i really liked the characters and the plot, even if just meeting the MC automatically makes you into his harem, but would it kill the author to actually create reasons for the MC to fall and be a target of love?

its hard, very very hard that the 30+ women never met a single human like him in their 30 trillion years of life, and apparently thats the whole idea of reasons to fall in love for the author, but thats just what I wanted from the novel, and did not... more>> get from it. And im no author nor millionare nor nobody special, if the author or someone reads this, sorry for the tone it got, and good characters and plot but bad romance if you intended it to be that, I wish you keep writing and getting better <<less

Less adventure and more comedy as of chapter 40 so if your looking for an adventure story you may want to look elsewhere. That being said it's a very entertaining story that is fun to read and has a good quality translation. 5/5 in my books.

I can definitely recommend this to anyone who isn't turned off by the tags.

There are a lot of characters. Including supporting cast something like 30 of them. All of them have good characterization, so you're bound to like one of them. Unfortunately, with so many characters not everyone can be a part of every story arc. Support characters are often reduced to token, tropey, joke appearances.

I would've rated this 5/5, but it's somewhat limited by being more comedy than seinen. I think the story would have been a bit better... more>> had it focused a little more on the tragic nature of its heroines and narrowed down the inclusiveness of the harem. There's a number of places where there could have been a bit more setup, a few more parallels drawn, that would have made this a much better character study. The author does call themselves out on this though. So I wonder if this ever gets a LN adaptation if they might be a little more serious and keep the flirting to more of the side stories.

Spoiler

Speaking of, the Raz date side story is a really great way to handle "supporting harem members". In that, it's left more of an ambiguous friendship than an actual relationship.

[collapse]

Spoiler

A reoccurring issue with the heroines is how quickly they "get over" their problems. Isis sort of gets this right, but it's dealt with too lightly. Kuro on the other hand basically goes from plotting to terrorize Kaito to being perfectly happy with things in a single chapter with no lasting drama. It's very anti-climactic.

A very great wholesome isekai story with absolutely almost no seriousness. The romance is great and all the characters are quite lovable.

Alsothe current translator is a real chad for keeping up with this high workload for this long

Some people are reviewing this novel as bland. Guess it can kinda be, but I am rating based on light novel standards. Story is really fluffy. The main characters "goal" seeming to be to "live" instead of just surviving. Honestly looking at it piece by piece instead of a whole let's me appreciate this novel more.
