I do not understand these people. If you think that 'instead of the police i'll call the yakuza who are actually good people' is your idea of a 'creative solution' I don't know what to tell you. Or maybe its the master plan where the MC gets beaten up... nvm lemme start from the beginning.

First of all, the author is lying to you. 'mob' is only said in name because for every single plot point, the MC is the protagonist. Starting from-
- He has a token pe*vert master friend... more>> who owns enough hentai to fill the library of Alexandria
- Lucky pe*vert tropes galore because he falls on the heroine's chest because yes that is very creative.
- His desk in the classroom is near the back, next to the window. Like every protagonist ever. the author specifically points his seat out.

He has comically bad grades (last place in class) because he spent the entire time 'training'. (don't worry, he never tells you what 'training' he did, but its not training his body, martial arts, or training to take punches/ get hit. none of these 3 things which would have helped him in combat). He is not a reincarnated person having any life experience. He is a middle schooler who just happens to have read the 'original novel'. His solutions to things are what a toddler would think of as cool or badass. Somehow these dime a dozen japanese beta MCs can only really ever be middle school levels of intellect.

The author is also terrible at building tension. The entire beginning of the novel he never tells you WHAT exactly goes wrong, it starts with the typical 'i wish the event doesnt happen' but it never tells you what event happens that differentiates the 'good route' from the 'bad timeline'. its only a nebulous 'i pray it doesnt happen', the MC says it constantly the entire fkin day. And then finally at the very end after they leave the school he's like "oh right the branching event is that she encounters delinquents on her way back" wait, that's it? this is your idea of a 'game changing event' ? Then why the hell did you spend the entire day shaking? Imagine if the author told the readers that 'the event' was the heroine encountering delinquents. Then the reader could also stay in tension the entire time like 'is this when all goes wrong' except he doesnt do that till the delinquents are finally encountered. What's the point of knowing the future if you don't tell it to the readers but instead only keep hinting at it?

You might not think its such a big deal but what it proves is that the author has sloppy writing and this continues throughout the entire novel.

The police is bad yet the author never actually says it. The police is never even considered as a valid or possible solution to the MC's or the heroines' problems. In the 'original novel' the female hero (novel's protagonist) first got harassed day 1, then got r*ped day 2 by like 5 people, then got r*ped again day 3 by like 10 people then later on got r*ped by a stalker and stabbed to death. All this while she kept going to school normally, no one noticed anything wrong, the 'yakuza boss brother teacher' did jack shit, she didnt tell her parents cause 'she didn't want to bother them', the police presumably did nothing (obviously) and she died before she ever got the magical girl powers she was supposed to in the 'good' route.

You know, the neighbourhood friendly yakuza that deals in extortion, gambling, human trafficking, drug trade. Yeah those are the good guys.

Each chapter title is "Mob does this" like the author jerking himself off by the fact that he's writing something new and unique, avant garde, no one ever in the history of japanese novels has had the MC be a 'mob' before. Especially not a mob that has every single trait of a typical weak ass beta MC shounen protagonist inflicted with brain rot.

Oh I almost forgot to mention. his 'master plan' to 'fix bullying' is to find the delinquents and get mu*dered on a public street so that it creates a big event where he gets hospitalized due to injuries and his yakuza teacher comes to handle these delinquents. Yes, his 'master plan' is to get beaten to death, He did not wear armor or anything, his greatest idea was to (and I'm 100% quoting from the novel itself) 'curl up in a turtle position with arms over the head so that his neck doesnt break probably and he doesn't get concussion', yes, thats his brilliant 2000IQ genius plan. Pray that he doesnt get literally mu*dered. PRAY. he could have worn padding or SOMETHING at least but no.

Like I said, a toddler's idea of what 'cool' is. What a weak and pathetic thing to do. "He's doing what he can". Yeah sure whatever you say. His best plan was to PRAY that everything goes right. That is no plan at all.

EDIT: This novel is for those people who or**sm at the very thought that the heroine 'might become a yandere' no matter how tr*sh the surrounding plot is. If that is all you need to be satisfied, for a random predictable trope be present in the novel, without any or the emotional buildup or narrative reason and written in the most shallow way possible. It really is a pity but you might like this novel. <<less

What an interesting read!

Honestly, I have never stumbled into this sort of deconstruction of your average Mahou Shoujo story before.

MC was reincarnated into his favorite Magical Girl series from his previous world, which so happened also has an alternative IF story that gets really dark. Yeah im talking the sort of bullying, abuse, stalking, 'making love without consent', and 'unalive' oneself kinda bad.

Unfortunately for the MC the plotline the world is going with is the IF stories plotline, and now MC is doing everything that he could to save these... more>> girls.

Now, im going to give to you straight MC is just an average dude like literally, he doesn't have the braveness and physique to say battle evil doer by himself, so don't be discouraged when he don't single-handedly beat up the bullies who were bothering the heroines by himself. In fact, he has to be witty and clever on how to approach the problem.

But one of the most satisfying part of the story is seeing him prevail and help solved the heroines problem.

Thought a bit heads up, the story took place BEFORE the heroines become magical girl and if you want spoiler on when they become magical girl its around
Spoiler

Chapter 70 where all the main heroines have gathered

[collapse]

This is certainly a good read and it got me curious of others "MC helping the magical girls" trope.

Oh btw if you want a bit more spoilers about the girls without giving out too much:

Spoiler
    1. First heroine: Main protagonist in the original story, probably had one of the most F up fate if MC didn't save her, also the first love interest, and she became a yandere later lol, but its always fun when she is around
    1. Second heroine: An otaku, her fate wasn't as F up as the main heroine but it was still bad, but her arc had the most fulfilling conclusion. She became a tsundere later... a self aware tsundere probably because of her otaku knowledge
    1. Third heroine: When you first meet her you might think she's a Yuri character, but she had trauma around men which is explain and you get why she act like this. Her fate was also pretty dark if the MC didn't save her, I would place her and the 2nd heroine in the same spot in the F up fate measurement. While she like the MC she didn't immediately fall for him after he saved her, not that easy heal trauma. Funny enough she becomes the moderator for the MC harem, as heroine 1 and heroine 2 are always on neck with each other
    1. Fourth heroine: I admit her story feels a bit short, maybe because she is from a different school and her Fate wasn't really explore but what just mentioned briefly, though theres a reason for that. That being said I think she's a tomboy kuudere?

COMPLETE READING REVIEW:

Spoiler

Alright so ive pretty much finish reading this novel, and it's pretty obvious that the author rushed the ending. As there are many plots that haven't been resolve (like hello, the demon king still around?) the best way I can say it is the ending feels like a 12 episode anime that adapt a long novel, yet they know they won't be getting another season, so they branch out a bit and have their own 'conclusion' in the last episode.

However, im not mad the ending leave in a funny and happy note, albeit rush. The last arc was also very good, heck its so good that its ashamed the author rush it to only 3 chapters (it could have been 15 chapters easy). Despite that though, im okay with the ending, not completely satisfy but it end in a open but happy note.

I will say... I love this novel, the relationship between the MC and heroines are adorable and cute, though near the end the MC pretty much become like Naoya from Kanojo mo Kanojo lol, but hey everyone happy. Im also kinda surprised I got attach to Moegi, the third heroine which I thought was Yuri bait. Out of all the heroine she is the last one to admit her feeling but the first one that accept the harem. Everyone is so lovely though since they all have their own quirks, I would love to see more of their slice of life story.

Im guessing the reason why the author is rushing the story is that he is focusing on his other work, the one about the Canon fodder who believe himself as a hero. That is also good, in fact I have a review about it too! But I would love to see more or perhaps a continuation of this series.

It's pretty good.

It's about a normal dude who has to think creatively to prevent the disasters from happening to the girls to save them and save the world. MC is really refreshing; he's not weak-willed, but has some balls and a brain to deal with situation. A man with a mission if you had to describe him.

Edit: Just finished! Gotta say I loved it. The few complaints I have are that things are resolved too easily and the ending. Would've loved a little more action and development. The ending is... more>> the type to hype you, but just leaves you hanging.

Spoiler

He proposes to to all the heroines + their milf version.

Other than, it's a fun read. Most people who don't like this forget that this is a JP harem romcom. Like obviously the world is gonna be a little wacky. And that wackiness is what makes it charming. If you like harems, this definitely worth a read for you. <<less

... more>> MC still collecting his harem by solving their problem's, I like how Smart the MC is dealing with problems

he is regular normal guy with no power but he solve the crime around the girls with his brain power, clever tactic alone.

what make the novel great is " Yandere ". Yes ALL OF GIRLS is Yandere, I repeat They are Psycho Yandere !!.

also Every Girl Have unique Personality.

if you like MC get Stab mu*dered in his dream ? " His future self got mu*dered by each girl " this is for you.

I don't know whether it's because of the bad translation or bad writing, but the story is seriously sh*t.

To be more exact, it's the characters, the main character, the "dumbass pe*verted friend" and the heroines that are written so poorly. They don't feel like humans. The interactions and conversations between them feel weird and unnatural.

The logic in this story is also nonexistent.

Just reading through the story makes me feel as if the author has never talked to a woman before, or even any human. All the problems with "deliquents" could... more>> have been resolved with calling a police.

The main character literally knows the future of the world and all the "routes" of the heroines. He could literally solve everything by calling the damn police before the "event" happens, saying something like "A girl is about to be r*ped/mol*sted/assaulted."

It's really as simple as that. And the story is really as s*upid as it is.

Rating - 1/5 (Bad translation, poor writing, badly written characters, lack of logic.) <<less

The MC is quite unlikeable and the heroines' characters are relatively flat. I could be expecting a bit too much because this author's other novels are much better.

I might get back to this later on, but at the moment, it's a drop for me. The plot is just too bland, with no bright points in either the setting, the relationship between characters or even the romantic comedy part.

This is one of the better harem novels I've read. It doesn't have a compelling or unique story but it is enjoyable to read. There are several other stories where the MC is sent to a world they know the future events of and helps people using their future knowledge but MCs methods are pretty hilarious and downright crazy.

Spoiler

Because MC is weak, one of the things he thought of to use as self defense is to carry a water gun filled with some liquid with extremely spicy peppers. But my favorite has to be when a family doesn't have the courage to talk about their insecurities and starting to fall apart. The MC ate garlic gyoza, threatened to kiss the girl if she doesn't tell him her story, threw her phone away to prevent himself from having the police called on him, and helped her, her father and her mother to write a letter to express their feelings for their family hahahaha.

[collapse]

Regarding the heroines, though they indeed embody a trope (the current heroines are a distrustful popular girl developing into a Yandere and a tsundere). They are charming in their own right and doesn't feel like a soul less rehash of the same generic characters you'd see elsewhere.

Spoiler

For example, the Yandere is crazy but her practical thinking is preventing her from being a psycho (for now). She doesn't kidnap the MC (despite wanting to) since she could get arrested and she doesn't like adding her hair or blood to the food since it is unhygienic. And the tsundere isn't exactly dishonest with her feelings since after she fell in love she confessed straight away (in her own roundabout way) even going as far as doing it again the next day since she got interrupted the first time.

[collapse]

For anyone who is just searching for some dumb but entertaining and well written harem hijinks this is a great recommend. I don't know how this is going to hold up once the magical girl part of the story kicks in but I'll rate it 4.5 stars for now.

Edit: (Dropped at ch83) It is unfortunately disappointing once the magical girl part of the story is there. Pretty much destroying most of the praises I gave. The yandere and tsundere are pretty much forced into those character tropes now simply because those traits have strong heritability for some reason. That is such a lazy and dumb way of giving them emotional hurdles. The harem situation is enough for that. Speaking of the harem, it f*cking takes forever to have any entertaining moments anymore. It is always interrupted by all the boring battles. Hell the girls are supposed to be the one doing the fighting but so far MC is doing all the work. The entire first half was all about saving them and in the second half it is still the same? They are just going to be treated as damsels in distress at this rate. I wouldn't be this bored if his actions are still hilarious and unique but they are now painfully generic and straightforward.

If I have to rate this now, it is a 2/5.

Quite well written. All heroines have their own development, quirks and points and not just cardboard cutout. The MC is good and as aPizza has said in their review, "A man with a mission" is the best phrase to describe him.

To be fair, I would rate this 4.5 star if I could due to how the author handled the ending or to be more precise, the last 2-3 chapters. Now, the ending is not bad per se ... more>>
Spoiler

In fact, the MC actually turn into a gigachad and the number of mahou shojo doubled.

[collapse]
However, it will give you one of these impressions:

1/ The author felt bored and decided to rush it to finish the story and called it a day.

2/ The author hit their head on a pipe and suddenly forgot how to handle the ending.

Overall, the story is still really good and really worth reading <<less

It's pretty good for a story of only 125 chapters, the plot is smoothly paced and the protagonist is just a normal guy who has to prevent horrible things from happening to the girls/characters, all using methods that a normal person can access. As for the girls, they are all well accomplished and have their personalities and stories, they are not just decorations whose sole purpose is to be helped.

If I had to say something bad, it would definitely be the end: in the last 3 chapters something happens that... more>> could have given a story for an entire volume if the author had wanted it, but since the story continued at the same pace as until now, the last chapter was so unfinished that instead of a finished novel it seems more an abandoned novel <<less

The story is interesting enough I binge read it over four days.

Translation is probably human edited mtl, based on the errors I saw. Overall, it's not bad.

Reviewers who couldn't be bothered to read the story properly should stop spouting BS.

... more>> Relying on yakuza: the MC didn't actually rely on yakuza; he relied on his homeroom teacher who happened to be the brother of a big time Mob boss.

Not relying on police: MC gave the cops a chance to intervene, but they didn't. There's a few hints of "adult" circumstances there, but nothing was ever stated explicitly.

Unrealistic/flat characters: this story is built on top of several galge tropes and is also mainly a comedy. Furthermore, the female leads have "issues." And the MC isn't particularly familiar with the other side characters, so it's unreasonable to expect anything in-depth. <<less

The concept, writing and translation are good.

The issue is that enjoying the story requires an absolutely immense suspension of disbelief and an extreme tolerance for japanese harem tropes.

Personally I also just didn't find much interesting about the plot either. The absolute base level comedy hijinks exist, but beyond that the story is really bland.

This was going so good and then around chapter 80 when the MC tried to go for a harem all things started falling apart. I am always in favor of a harem ending so it was the best case scenario for me but the story just went completely off the rails and it was impossible to understand what is going on and the cause effect of any of the events. I think the Author had plans but had to axe them for some reason so he just rushed to hit... more>> all the plot points he needed and ended the story. It was a 4 before that but the ending just completely ruins it.. Don't read it unless you just have nothing else to read. <<less
