Ning Mitang never thought that she would get involved with a mummy.

Before he became her boyfriend:

The mummy held on to the end of Ning Mitang’s shirt and his slender and pale fingers slowly tightened.

Ning Mitang turned her head and glared at him fiercely, “I told you, do not follow me! You are being very annoying!”

After he became her boyfriend:

The temperature in the heated room began to rise.

“Tang Tang, wait a minute, these pants are a bit hard to take off.”

Mo Huai’s dark eyes were wet and unfocused. He glanced at Ning Mitang pleadingly afraid that she would mind his slow pace.

Ning Mitang reassured him softly, “Take it slow. Ah Huai, what are you being so anxious for?”

Mo Huai tugged hard on the trouser band, “Of course I am anxious.” He replied bashfully, “It’s the first time that Tang Tang wants to touch…touch me. I am very happy.”

Sigh. The start was good but the ending was like meh? I’ll rate this as 3.5/5 tbh. There were a lot things that did not get resolve if I’m not mistaken. Like:

1. Aside from the text that mentioned that mummy got stolen, I did not see any other follow ups like ahm there should be findings, right?

2. When the FL got abducted and rescued, if I’m not mistaken there’s no follow ups too regarding that case. They just became lovey dovey went to bed and that’s it.

Overall, this is fine if you are reading casually since the romance is good but the plot holes made this like so so. <<less

So far, off to a fun start. I can’t say I’ve read a c-novel with a mummy romance before. The premise is fun; the MC has a positive female friendship, a slightly strange superpower, and a super-sweet future boyfriend who happens to be a former mummy.

I don’t know what past dynasty was producing such sincere, cinnamon roll emperors-or-whatever, but it’s nice that he’s not just another cold CEO/Demon Wang. I mean, he’s cold, but that’s because he is a mummy and thus had a low body temperature.

This was so bittersweet! I finished the novel in one go.

There were many fluffy moments that make me feel butterflies on my stomach, heartwrenching moments, and some cliches as well. I really love the ML!!!! He's truly the embodiment of a clingy lover T___T He's adorable. MC is okay, despite being in denial in the beginning, she became honest with her feelings. I like that. The story isn't too serious, just a lot of cliches. However, it's the kind of cliche that makes you want to read more, desperately.

Sure, there... more>> are some details that don't get much closure even until the end. I wish there were extras, it's a pity that the author didn't write it T___T Don't worry tho, it won't hinder you from enjoying the story.

The thing that I really like is that there is actually an explanation on the ML's 'reawakening':

In the final chapters, we get to peek at the backstory on ML's life before his awakening. It was so bittersweet, I think it really adds a lot more sense to the story. So, read until the end. You won't regret it.

Translation is very well done, and I look forward to read it again when it's fully translated 🏆👏🏻

The idea of a romance with a mummy is quite horrific for me (because mummy is a preserved body!). But then, he seems more like a zombie, or a walking dead.. and that is actually still a bit dreadful, to be honest..

Yet, because of his devilishly moe and clingy appearance, the ML becomes quite likable.. he's what the FL lack in her lonely life~

There is a portion of time when the ML becomes a tsundere though.. which really decreases a lot of his charm for me. But I was very happy that it doesn't last long.

There was also some suspense in the plot, in which it doesn't get quite a satisfyfing resolution... though it leads to the ML and FL happily ever after, I guess~

Finally, the short narration of the past is my favourite part. It adds a lot of 'fragrance' to the story (and romance). Just a tidbit, the leads are superb in their 'smelling' sense 🌸🍭

Actually, this is my first human×mummy romance novel that I've read and I was actually very curious how the story goes so I Mtl'ed it. The plot of the story was good. I quite like how clingy the ML is towards the FL.

Though, there are issues and problems that are left unresolved and some plot holes, the overall story was good.

Maybe because it was Mtl, there are some parts of the story that I can't understand.

But in all, it's a great story
