I enjoyed Returnee because it was fresh and new. I enjoyed Friendly Fire because it went heavy on the game elements and had some cool story points.

This... this is vaguely interesting. Like you could read some chapters if you’re not really thinking about it and be mildly entertained. I knew already the author didn’t understand women or comedy but now I’m fairly certain they don’t understand basic human interactions. This story could probably be written by a bit in 3 or 4 years. If all you’re looking for is self... more>> insertion ego tripping then go right ahead. You’ll love this.

Literally disappointed in myself that I read so many chapters. <<less

Feel rushed and simple, the story can also expanded, but considered how rushed and simple it is, it might be a good idea to end it quick

boring novel that a slice of life.

basically the MC is the PC sidekick of the demon lord and is reincarnated into the PC sidekick of the hero.

he also realizes that time isn't that easy to meddle with since it fixes itself which is the title of the novel. he reincarnated and yet is unable to make any difference in the world.... besides getting his own harem...

I would honestly give this a 4 instead of a 5, but I scrolled past a few 1 and 2 star reviews written at ten chapters or less, so I'm gonna pad my review. Honestly, the start is interesting but weak. I think this is a good story though and would recommend it. Especially if you like the author.

I really was here for a love story. Matiel and Arpte were such cute kids. Matiel has loved Arpte for so long... it was cute and fluffy with decent story thrown in. Eventually it turns into bullshit, they spend all their time in time skips. They do this time skip they're two years older or whatever time skip time skip time skip it is so annoying. What was cute in childhood turns ret*rded as they grow older. Arpte starts surrounding himself with young girls. Matiel becomes strange, it just turns... more>> out kind of meh.

Arpte is so overpowered it turns the story into shit. IIt's just, going, the story is moving forward but it lost all the charm, it feels like your waiting for it to finish. If I had to compare it to something maybe.. waiting for a terminal distant family member to die slowly so you can stop having to show care. Just annoying, hope it finishes soon. <<less

The premise of the novel was promising at most but poor execution of plot left me disappointed.

I may be rating it to early but I can't stand the torture of reading this plain novel anymore.

I understand that the novel is designed to be comedic but its humor is too bland for my taste. I don't recall laughing even a single time when I was reading this two-dimensional novel with its one-dimensional characters.

For people who complained about how generic this series; the story started from ch35. You could say the previous chapters are like the introduction part.

Here we have two heroes with plot armors. Opportunities came for them, as they are 'the hero' (lol). The girl hero is innocently idiot, while the boy hero, her childhood friend, is a bit clever.

Interesting novel to read. Won't spoil too much as it would ruin the fun....

This is really amazing, is kinda bland in some aspects, like some already written, is a bit annoying reading the cheerleaders just suck the MC all the time,

In any case I recommend it, give it a shot, good comedy and decent character buildup, good as a light reading and im not even a fan of Toika.

I hope the translator dont give up on this one as im pretty excited abt it

So our MC Artpe, who was once the weakest among the 4 Heavenly Kings of the demon world was killed by the hero's party (well was killed by a member of the hero's party because the hero Maetel hesitated.). And then he was reincarnated as the childhood friend of the same hero, a friend whom the hero (obviously female) loved and trusted with all her heart. Now during their class ceremony (something like that where their class awakens), both of them turned out to be heroes.

So now... more>> lets get to the main parts. The story is still only 36 chapters translated, so there is still plenty of chapters to go. The story currently revolves around Artpe's influence on Maetel, how they explore dungeons after escaping from their village, how Artpe teaches her about the world (well he teaches only what's convenient to him) and so on, and how Maetel's influence causes slight changes in Artpe's personality. Artpe's character is cold hearted, him being a former demon and all, and Maetel is the pure hearted girl who blindly listens to Artpe. Artpe having been reincarnated back in time has knowledge about the future and uses it for his and Maetel's benefit, although their actions ends up changing the future which he knew in a large scale, but it's still too early and only a few changes have been discussed yet. Will need to wait longer for more details.

Well one of the reasons for why readers should read it is that currently it's a comedy novel. You'll be laughing a lot while reading this, and it's not the commonly used jokes so should be fun. If you're here to have a fun read, then this will probably be enjoyable. It's a lot more fun and interesting compared to the other bland isekai novels (well technically this is not an isekai novel as Artpe does not travel across worlds).

Another reason why you should read this is because the author is Toika. His other well known novels include Everyone Else is a Returnee and Infinite Competitive Dungeon Society, both having a large fan base. Although those novels started loosing their wonderful storyline towards the end due to becoming too predictive, overall they are very well liked. So we can all look forward to this novel and see how it goes.

So overall this was a fun read for me and hope it will be for you as well. Try out the first few chapters. Don't drop it because you didn't like the beginning, give it more time. The translation quality is pretty much excellent making the reading experience better. So start reading if you haven't started yet and have a wonderful time reading. <<less

There's no single chapter where I haven't laughed after reading it, the comedy and humor was written well here.

And for people who looks for a serious novel I think that they wouldn't enjoy this that much, but if you're a person that just want to relax and have a good fun reading then I Reincarnated For Nothing is a must read for you

Not a story for you guys who seeks a serious read, I guess.

Spoiler

“All hero’s story is like that. The story that comes afterwards always leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth. If we don’t leave behind a single seed of misfortune and uneasiness, our future generations will have nothing to do. It’ll spice up their lives.”

- MC

And it's true. The villains all have abrupt ending, even the final boss. MC suddenly awakened his innate ability and suddenly the final boss died. Then suddenly the story moved to 20 years later when MC already has children with his harem while tending dairy cows everyday. This all happened in just a single chapter or two. The phrase above is the only thing the author said in defense about why they did this. Really abrupt ending, although the journey through the story is somewhat enjoyable if you like stories with comedy and a lot of skits here and there.

[collapse]

Giving it 5 stars just because it's personally quite enjoyable for me.

I generally like the medieval power fantasy genre, but this was hard to read.

The biggest issue is the MC. Throughout the entire novel he acts like a smartass know-it-all because of the knowledge of his past life combined with his innate ability that lets him read other people's and objects' information (like a maxed out appraisal skill). As if that's not bad enough he's also constantly making unfunny 4th wall jokes, which was hard to bear. And to top that all off he constantly acts like a Japanese shounen protagonist... more>> trying to protect his v**ginity at all costs from the ever growing number of girls who want to take it.

I've read a few other Toika novels, but so far this was definitely the least enjoyable one. Would not recommend reading unless you've got literally nothing else to read. <<less

Some Korean novels are just way too cartoon-corny in dealing with game elements, too damn much. Here is such, here I do not belong- which I recognize.

Now, is it good tho? It's pretty... unimpactful... so as to say.

Humor is like a c*ckroach trying to adhere to any and every paragraph like there is no other way of life. It's really a mood mu*derer to me, so once again, not. for. me.

But, I think my final verdict is: go for it, if it doesn't _bore_ you, then it's fine, if it... more>> doesn't make you wanna read more, then is pretty much too bland to be good, but sins of nothing- to be considered bad; no, not limbo, just nothing remarkable.

Like most korean works that are copy and pasta like moma spagheta hell yea. <<less

From one of my favourite junk food Korean WN authors (Toika)... This feels like a story told from the perspective of a self-aware NPC, within a Fantasy RPG, who's basically grooming the "Chosen One". Although with so much prior knowledge he is basically doing a speedrun. Cheats, Glitches and Exploits abound. Overall it is the most generic Heroes journey to defeat the Demon Lord kind of story, with a "meta" style of comedy, giving it some incredibly fun character interactions. All while providing basic commentary on free will and self-determination

Made me laugh out loud a lot, interesting developments, typical OP MC. +1 for yandere, though its more of a gag haha. I liked how the MC is brutally honest and acts villainous but in the end his actions are of benefit to others. Love the lazy king vibes, but just doing what he must and avoiding anything else because he's lazy.

Here’s my 2 cents. As someone who loves an overpowered MC, isekai, harem, magical powers etc. This LN has a lot going for it. But one thing that drowns out the good is the repetition. Constantly reminding the reader of his title in his previous life. I understand the need to remind the reader but it’s no exaggeration to say in 20 chp’s to hear it between 50-75 times. Or his skill which as of right now he seems to have 3? Repetitive. It’s been reminded 25-35 times. And this... more>> is just my own dislike but I’m a little sad about his feelings toward the main heroine. But hey 98% of harem genre novels have an ultra dense protagonist so I guess it is what it is. So my honest review so far is about 6/10 but we’re really early still. That’s my $.02 <<less

Pretty good read throughout, but the ending was a letdown. It kinda came crashing in out of nowhere, with some weird loose ends, and the epilogue was just too short.

The story isn't bad.

But it suffers from what all harem stories suffer from. Having a harem. Terrible side characters and harem members who have as much personality as a blank piece of paper, and a romance as shallow as a single drop of rain landing on the desert floor.

I'll be real, if there wasn't such an annoying harem comedy, it would be much more entertaining. Unfortunately, it just repeats the same tired harem cliches with nothing new, and I'm sick of it. If you edit out the harem, nothing will... more>> change about this story, and its quality will improve 100000%.

I seriously tried to continue reading it, but oh mah gawd. My hate for the harem comedy far exceeded any interest I had in the plot and the main character. The MC is actually pretty interesting too. If only there weren't that fking harem around, I would recommend it, since he at least has some personality compared to 99% of all other harem protagonists.

So in the end, it just become another generic OP Harem MC, and not a very good one.

I recommend you skip, because if you have read one, you've read all of them. <<less

Good novel. The last 50-60 chapters were somewhat disappointing though - it felt as if the author was trying to prolong the story through filler dialogues that werent any fun to read, from my perspective. Also all those many written sounds like "Khya-a-a-a-k" were quite so annoying while listening via the narrative... seriously, a hand with such sounds and "don't know from where they come out"... such a "cheat", I guess the author just likes it.
