I really enjoyed this short novel, it is a charming romantic comedy that captivates with its blend of humor, romance, and familial conflict. The chemistry between MC and ML is heartwarming and endearing. MC’s airheaded but admirable nature contrasts beautifully with ML's confident and supportive demeanor. Their relationship evolves naturally, filled with humorous and tender moments.

Hello, translator here~ This is a novel I had on my ‘to read’ list for over a year and for some reason it just wasn’t calling out to me too much at first. But then I decided to give it a try and it instantly became one of my favorites, and I fell in love with the author’s style of storytelling and characters. (I ended up buying a bunch of her novels and binging them – they are all SO GOOD! Though her trend seems to be "unrequited crushes" from... more>> many I’ve noticed.)

This one is quite a wholesome story with not much drama and lovable main characters. The MC, Haruomi is the second son of the head of a flower arranging school. He’s kind of a sheltered dude, and although not quite spoiled, he just doesn’t know the ways of the world since he mostly lived in his own bubble.

One day his older brother comes to tell him he’s gotta get married. But Haruomi refuses, because he’s got an unrequited crush on someone from his past, so he leaves the house upset, and coincidentally bumps into that guy (ML). He ends up explaining why he’s so upset and then Taiga (ML) comes up with a wacky idea – why don’t they pretend to be lovers and elope??

So he ends up tagging along to Haruomi’s house to tell his family, and all hell breaks loose, which leads to Haruomi going to live with Taiga as pretend lovers. There he discovers that life isn’t as nice and easy as he thought – Taiga doesn’t make much and it turns out that two people living on one person’s meager salary is quite the challenge. Not wanting to be a burden, Haruomi decides to start pulling his weight.

It’s a cute, cute, cute story in my opinion!! Absolutely love Haruomi - I love when MCs have some good character development, and from a sheltered young master, he really grows up to be quite the responsible young man. And ML is a green flag all around.

Anyways, give it a try! It’s a short read and you’ve got nothing to lose.

And as for the steamy part...

There’s some ~ kimono ~ - eroticism involved (つ ͡ꈍ ͜ʖ̫ ͡ꈍ) if you’re into that.
