Where to start? Without spoiling too much, the way the story is set up reminds me of Star-Embracing Swordmaster (An compliment in and of itself I feel) in the sense that both story's start with a boy in the slums with potential eventually embarking on a journey to become a knight. Voice in the head? ☑, Abnormal talent? ☑, Admiration for knights? ☑, However that's where the similarity's end.

The world is portrayed as a place where those who stand out are hammered down by those in power rather then properly... more>> raised, knights sell their pride and honor for riches, and even the few (with the exception of one group as of now) that don't are often betrayed or simply not powerful enough to resist, it's blatantly clear of the power-disparity in this world.

Key names come here and there yet the world building isn't quite fleshed out and is currently unknown whether the author even plans to give more then the basic city names. Unique? Certainly not; it's seen in a lot of stories, but that doesn't mean the story itself is bad in fact quite the opposite, the author has a clear knack for writing the the translation also reads smoothy with fairly consistent quality and quantity. Overall a solid choice to read if having to chose between others, though that might just be my bias towards stories of heroics and knights rather then revenge and petty killing.

Tldr: 8/10 bordering on 9/10, The story is well written and the plot has clear direction on where it's progressing if a little vague of the end goal, however the lack of world building and travel descriptions hold it back a bit, however this could be rectified as it's still fairly early in the story and as such could potentially be a 9/10 to a 10/10 for me. <<less

Tl;dr It's really good. Characters are great, hype moments throughout, and the emotions if the characters are well conveyed.

Here our MC want to be a knight. Not just any knight but the greatest. Supassing the greatest man in history, King Arthur (lot's of Arturian legend throughout).

Problem is he was born in an underground prison-city and anyone born there is automatically also a criminal. No one has ever escaped.

Well turns out every 20 (I think?) years (first time in his life) Arthur's sword, Excalibur, appears in the center of every town.... more>> Even this one where no stars can reach and the gods themswlves are blind. (Oh, famous people get stars the more impressive they are and turn into gods)

I'm sure you can guess the rest but it really is good, and while Excalibur is poweful it doesn't mean he's better than everyone because of it, there is still TONS of growth for him to go through.

Oh and the illustrations. They're so good at showing only the hypest moments. A lot of LNs tend to waste all their illustrations on slice of life scenes but ALL of these are at the climax of the coolest battles and important growth moments for the MC.

Overall I highly recommend it with the one caveat that its chapters are few and far between, not getting a translated chapter in 6 months and only getting 10 chapters in that time from the Author.

Give it a try and keep an eye on whether it finishes sometime in our lifetime. <<less

First story I've read coming from WeTried TL.

I've caught up to chapter 122. Author is currently going through chemo, I hope all is well from him and gets all the rests he needs.

Anyways after reading this my standards were set from that point on, any story that comes from there has to be good, and I'll like it henceforth on. It hasn't proven me wrong since I found three stories on WeTried TL that I've loved. Now on to this banger of a story.

Najin the MC, has a goal and... more>> he's working through it. There's nothing I could get mad at, even the other characters that we get introduced to every step of the way. It's a big world, he just ventured into it. We follow the MC in his adventures, I can't help but be proud along the way knowing where he started and grew up and this is where he is currently.

When I look back, It's' an adventure in of itself to watch him and know where he started. You can't help but be proud of him, I want to know where his journey will end. Would he surpass his goal? Knowing the little instances of his adventures is a nice touch.

The other characters are nothing to scoff at either. I actually liked to know about them which I don't in a lot of stories. The characters themselves had goals, they were not led around by the MC.

I've read knight stories, I didn't think it was something I would ever be interested in. But I was proven wrong. There's nothing much I can say that hasn't already been said by the other two reviewers. I implore you to read this. I hope this banger does not get dropped, I'll still be here reminiscing lol <<less
