When Lin Shen transmigrated into a book he had no intention of flipping through, he found himself blocking the cute and peppy female lead in the back corner of the classroom.

Kabedon! (Wall slam!)

But he wasn’t the male lead!

He was just a scumbag bought by a vicious woman who wanted him to kiss and mol*st the female lead!

He still remembered that he only lived for three chapters in this book!

1,000 words per chapter!

The page was about to be turned!

He was about to be kicked away by the male lead and become a tool armor to the heroic act of saving the beauty from a cannon fodder without a name!

He didn’t want to die ahhhh!!!

Lin Shen calmly looked down at the female protagonist and asked, “What is the coefficient of expansion of a positive cubic mass with a linear coefficient of expansion of α, when the amount of expansion is smaller?”

The female lead who never studied: “Eh?”

The male lead who was used to throwing money at people: “Huh?”

Lin Shen looked at the two of them and said, “You can’t even do a simple question, and you still have the heart to talk about love? I advise you to study, fellow students. This is the only way for you to improve yourself every day and become a qualified successor of socialism!”

Later……..

Lin Shen was blocked in the back corner of the empty classroom.

Kabedon!

The school heartthrob, whose appearance and figure were off the charts, leaned over and blew into his ears: “I came first in the exam, do I count as a qualified boyfriend that can f*ck you every day?”

“Scram!”

I love this novel but there's so many unsolved plot. The side characters will just simply out of the book whenever ML 'solved' them. Just like that cannon fodder ouyang, lin-something and Lu miaomiao. I know the novel tendency to fluffy love between ML and MC, the only spice this novel got is probably at the end of the story.

Which is about MC sudden transmigration. Speaking of it, MC's family... I really don't know what to feel about them, I feel sorry for MC. I know he loves them because... more>> he never feel so much warm given by a family member, but I feel like he was forced to accept the sudden identity-switch. At the end he was still thinking about switching with the other Lin shen, he probably feel that his family was forced to switch them back because of his bad time in the other world. I probably would feel the same way if I was ever in his situation.

Given by how much he has endured grievances in the other world, I don't think the author giving him ? justice. The only thing make MC feel belong to the current world is because of ML. Whereas his family..... especially Lin yuan reaction when he was saying 'sorry' to the other Lin Shen when they were about to be switched and what Lin che has said when MC first know everything. I still strongly believed that they were reluctant but was forced to switch because of MC's BAD TIME in the other world.

Mainly giving this 4stars because of MC and ML. <<less

Eh. Too many plotholes, and the family was so fake. ML's character is kinda dumb too.

In the first chapter he disdains MC, and by the third, he's claimed MC as his. Get your head out of your ass, kid. =_=

Having the MC transmigrate into a campus romance book would make you think that the story would be full of clichées, plot holes and flat characters. But I can tell you, that is not the case here.

The relationship between the MC and ML didn't start abruptly, but progressed in quite a nice pace. Plot points that might make you think that they are unrealistic can be explained by the premise being that everything takes place in a campus romance novel. However, later on you will find out that things are... more>> not exactly how you thought they are. This novel had a depth that I did not expect when I started the novel.

I cried. Admittedly, I cry everytime I see, hear or even read about someone crying. But this time, I felt genuinely like crying. The MC's emotional conflict just did it for me.

10/10 would recommend reading. <<less

This is a very mediocre novel with a lacklustre ending and too many plot holes.

The novel is very similar to other transmigration high school novels, neither the plot nor the characters are really anything new however the MC is fantastic, and the humour is good.

The MC is actually very well-rounded, and easy to relate to. The backstory was heartbreaking, and really fleshes out his character and actions. I like his relationship with the ML and how it grows, however the ML's inability to handle rejection for an answer was disgusting... more>> and it really soured me on the ML's character.

The MC's family however is the reason I couldn't get behind this story.
Spoiler

Aside from the fact that MC's family is perfect for no reason, to the point of being so boring they have no point in their existence outside of being the anchor to MC's world. The family's connection to the MC is so questionable - they chose to be with the boy who is their flesh and blood over the one they spent 7 years of their life with for what? This could have easily been a reason to flesh out the family's characters; MC's younger brother could have been angry or upset about being raised alongside a fake brother but instead he simply chooses to move on in the matter of a few chapters; the family doesn't allow for MC to choose to go back instead fighting to keep him which is another point that could add drama, tension, perspective, and more nuance to the story but instead is solved in the last chapter with ease. The mystery behind the switch of MC is never explained, and the method which the older brother uses to go in between worlds is never mentioned again, the ending of the novel was so dull because it read like a large info dump with half the information missing. Speaking of the older brother - the entire point of his character was to solve MC's problems. He's the perfect character, and while that would have been acceptable had he actually been a character in a novel like the MC assumed, him not being one just downplayed the seriousness of every issue faced by the MC (since it was obvious the perfect older brother was just going to solve the issue).

Seriously, the idea behind the characters being switched and having to live worse/ better realities than the one they were supposed to is smart. It's an intriguing plot line and really would make for some interesting characters and morals but instead we get a 'and they lived happily every after' ending with numerous loose threads.

[collapse]

TLDR; Read for the great ML and to pass the time but don't expect much plot wise. <<less

I like the MC, very relatable. His backstory, everything makes sense. ML is arrogant, domineering but still a lot better than the typical cold possessive/obsessive MLs.

As for MC's family. Tbh, like other comments said, I just couldn't like them specially after knowing how MC 'transmigrates'. If I were the author, I would let MC return to the other world and let ML follow him because I could feel that MC's family likes the other kid more (Idk about his parents but his brothers thought so). I don't blame them though... more>> because they spent years with the other person. But their reactions clearly hurt the MC but the author just brushed it off. I really feel bad for MC, he deserved better.

4.4 rounded up to 5

A very sweet campus love story between slightly dull and study oriented Lin Shen and a domineering (but sweet inside) ML

The romance is in a similar style to Don't you like me, where the leads are basically in some pseudo relationship and the MC is basically ignorant while the ML thinks they're just in that teasing stage. MC is book smart but has kinda low self esteem and is dull when it comes to relationships in general. ML is the domineering type but is a good... more>> boy at heart, he tends to be Tsun where he'll say kinda mean stuff but then be sweet. I do enjoy their romance and ML suits MC in that he gives him the courage he needs. ML's arrogance and daring compliments MC's more steady pace.

The "into the book" situation is also done well and actually explained. There's a gradual mystery surrounding it with a decent payoff.

Overall, an enjoyable little romance. <<less

Tbh yes I be sobbing with the MC cuz as a second child you sometimes get neglected and be compared to other siblings. That you start doubting yourself if you're too selfish, cuz your parents gave you food, clothes, a house to live in and you get to go to school. It like a dark spiral hole once you think about it. Anyways this is a beautiful funny novel, thank you translations for picking up this novel ~

I really have a mixed feeling about this novel

I like ML and MC but I emmmhhh, quite dislike how the author describe the family

If they are reluctant then just sent MC back to the real world and send ML together, I think its more perfect ending

Its kind of forced for MC to accept and stay after learning that his family just want him back because his bad life their, and just sacrifice the original, even with the eldest brother can jump world.

Haih, really mixed feeling

I think the story was good but the plot wholes and no extras to explain the love between the other Lin shen and Lin yuan.

Spoiler

there’s no explanation between how a 7-10 year old kid not only knows how to travel through bodies and worlds I also don’t like how they do it. If they knew Lin shen wasn’t the same one why didn’t they explain everything in the beginning? It would’ve been much better than letting him sit there confused and not knowing anything. Second of all there’s no backroads about the other Lin shen how does he know how to switch worlds and how can he still know how the Lin shen of the other world is being treated. Third how the heck does Lin Yuan become Yan shuo it just doesn’t make sense to me because if they knew how to transfer him over he should’ve been transferred back a long time ago. I feel like the MC Lin shen is a just a puppet whose been going along with strings someone else pulled for him. Don’t get me wrong I loved the story, I just thought that Yan shuo would’ve turned out to be the ML after Lin shen went back to the world and what makes me even more sad is that the end there’s no follow up on the other Lin shen. I gave the story a 5 stars but if not for the MC and ML I would’ve given it a 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 stars because the ending just left so many questions unanswered and a story should never have questions unanswered in the way this story did because it ruins the original built up vibe

Well this story is first of its kind that I encounter. It has 89 chapter.

PLOT- 100%?

CHARACTER-100%?

... more>> Only the ending makes me sad. So abrupt ending... This story is a certified OPEN ENDED story... Guess on your own what happens next... ?

Well, Im mainly sad for the the side character. I hope they have happy ending....

Well, some mystery arent explained too.

Anyway its a very good read. Still give it a 5 star after thinking well. Deserve it. Very interesting, thrilling, fluppy and sometimes a roller coaster ride. Lol

IN MY OPINION IT GOOD BUT COULD BE BETTER. ? <<less

I just couldn't like this novel, I'M SORRY. The ML was too arrogant and domineering for me. "Oh MC likes me so much he keeps lying about this/that. He's just trying to get my attention". And the MC basically just went along with it and never properly expressed his true feelings until he conveniently and magically fell in love with ML, then he can apparently finally express his feelings.

Spoiler

I'm more curious about the other-MC that went to the real world. His relationship with the novel-older brother sounded more interesting to me. Especially since the novel-older brother said he wouldn't leave other-MC alone and could travel to the real world for a short period of time.

the story is good, the romance plot itself is nothing new, it was the super rich, cold and arrogant male lead who is slightly tsundere and goes out of his way to brag using roundabout means x nerdy student who's a bit slow when it comes to romance and recognizing romantic signs.

however the takeaway of this one is the story behind mc's transmigration. This gives this story a little bit of spice

Spoiler

frankly speaking I wish the author can dive more into the otherworld lin shen's story. During the last fifteen chapters or so, as tidbits of his story is unveiled, one can't help but be curious about him and his relationship with lin yuan. I actually want to read their story if the author will write it, as it seems to be interesting.

In the beginning, this seems to be a fastpaced novel. ML was very straightforward, so I didn't expect to read so much bs. Then, all things about transmigration, that sh*tty, disgusting and deceitful family, and the romance that never advances... Why did I spend my time reading this?

At the end, I just got angry and disappointed with the author's choises, and also with mine, that is, reading this garbage.

... more>> [Edit]

I was really angry yesterday. Besides that slow and unconclusive romance, the author seems to be in a hurry to get this novel finished, otherwise the family's related plot wouldn't be negleted to the point when in one chapter you expected an angsty, distressful sequence of events only to be welcome with a twist of family's resolution (still lacking) in the next one.

Anyway, this rush to finish a story seems to a plague among chinese bl novels that i've been reading. <<less

I just finished reading this, there wasn't a big conflict but there was a little anxiety and inner turmoil from Lin Shen (MC). Actually I don't like the MC characters who are wordy and shy, at times the scenes are really annoying and sometimes I want to stop. But after continuing I liked him even more. When you read the story it's very sad because it reminds me of my best friend. The ending of the story is not satisfactory, I want to know how the Mo (ML) family reacts... more>> to the relationship between MC and ML. And also want Lin Shen from another world to be happy and be with Lin Yuan (MC's brother). And the ending of Lu Miaomiao (?) Is only vague, it is not stated and it is not satisfactory. <<less

I enjoyed reading this novel, but it doesn't mean it is perfect or really good. I believe the idea behind MC's transmigration was pretty good, unfortunately it was... poorly developed.

The author focused completely on the main leads' relationship, and there was many moments I wished MC would be more direct towards ML, because this ML is pretty much a bit (a lot) delusional at the beginning of their relationship (meaning he keeps misunderstanding MC's actions and is being self-centered all the time). I do like him at the end though,... more>> just some interactions frustrated me.

Other characters were also introduced, some got more development than others. The development of Lin Shen's family was lacking (only Lin Yuan was really there because he is important for the plot), the ML's one only had a few lines, barely exists.

Villains just dissappear, the author mentions how they end up, but we don't see it. Personally, I didn't really mind it.

What I did mind was the loopholes, some important plot points weren't explained and it really decreases the rating this novel can get.

Spoiler

Also, the explanation of Novel!Lin Shen and Lin Yuan' relationship was very vague. According to what it's explained, their relationship is a romantic one, but the author choose to make the MC uninterested towards the truth because 'it's their things' and 'he shouldn't meddle'. That really left me unsatisfied lol.

Although in the end Lin Yuan said something that implied he would visit Novel!Lin Shen in his world, but again, it wasn't explained how can he even do that.

[collapse]

Conclusion: it's a good/alright read, just don't expect a masterpiece. <<less

This story made me cry ah q w q

MC and ML are a great pair !!!

The story unfolds every chapter and the reason for his transmigration makes you think about the other side of the coin. The MC x ML interactions are humorous and their feelings layer per meeting- ML feelings got stacked earlier than MC though. MC goes through a lot of inner self deprecation, ML gives him the 'push' to do better for himself- from MC doing better for everyone else.

I cried when MC was surprised at a loving family, the way it was set out was so tearjerking.

ML is okay, domineering and self important, but it really is hilarious when you consider he's just a teenager and playing up an overbearing CEO chuunibyou act. MCs description of him being a "2nd grader" is so accurate. Made me laugh several times from how over the top he acts.

MC isnt set out as a "cute" character, he's not feminine or childish in any way, but I find his rants about doing... more>> well in school and how offtopic he gets when he starts talking to be so adorable. Definitely cant blame either of his siblings for deciding hes the metaphorical younger brother. Even I wanted to squeeze him and rub his head sometimes.

The characters are actually pretty good for a novel with this premise? Not to generalize, but novels with overbearing CEO + misunderstanding type theme tend to be very immature and plain. But I thought the characters were either mostly likable or at least not totally one dimensional, atleast for the first half (even without canonically chuunibyou ML).

You might be wondering why I dropped it and gave it a 3. I dont really see it doing anything new or interesting, The characters are good, but that's about it. Plot is plain, and theres really not much you can do different with it in the first place, aside from getting the MC and ML together.

Definitely read if youre into this type of plot, but otherwise it doesnt do anything unique enough to make it a hidden gem or something youd stick with/start despite a boring plot. <<less

  • I thought that this story was light hearted with a comedic undertone like the title and the description but no I was wrong.
All I can say is that the title scammed me.

Also it's very relatable especially for a second child like me that has an intelligent older sibling above and pampered little brothers below.

Being a second child is quite tough you usually don't get that much attention from your parents and this is why I almost cried reading this.

But I don't like the ending though, this could've been better if... more>> the plot holes isn't that much.

What I do want to know is what happened to the elder brother and his lover.

I don't want to spoil it, so please read it yourself, their love story is very touching that I can't get it out of mind for months.

D*mn plot holessssss

But I don't like the little brother's role though. Most of the time he's just there to say a few words.

But anyways it's quite a good story

If not for the plot holes

Ahhhhhhh I hate you plot holes!!! <<less
