Su Ning, a behind-the-scenes genius in the entertainment industry, known as the “golden touch,” unexpectedly transmigrates into an entertainment novel as a spoiled, throwaway character.

Good News: He’s a top-tier agent in his original life, so his skills are a perfect match for his new role. Upon transmigrating, he immediately finds employment as an agent.

Bad News: He didn’t catch the protagonist’s name and has no idea who it is.

The only snippet he remembers from the novel’s summary is that it’s a tragic, no-romance entertainment story with a bleak ending. The main character is an unlucky talent who suffers from sabotage, betrayal, and ultimately dies in sorrow. In short, it’s heartbreaking.

According to the typical transmigration rules, a miserable protagonist like this needs rescuing by a transmigrated character like Su Ning.

Determined Su Ning: Whatever, if I can’t figure out who the protagonist is, I’ll just save everyone I meet and see what happens.

On his first day, Su Ning quickly rescues a pitiful young trainee who’s being bullied. The kid is obedient, adorable, hardworking, and, most importantly, pitiful.

Su Ning decides to take him under his wing. Raising the protagonist? Think of the bragging rights!

However, Su Ning has chosen the wrong target. The real protagonist was already reborn at the start of the novel.

Shen Mingzheng is the estranged son of the Shen family, who was only found as an adult. Now, reborn, he’s back with a dark ambition. He knows this world is a th**ny, corrupt place, especially the ruthless entertainment industry where everyone is out for themselves. His goal is to use every advantage to climb his way to the top, eventually taking over as head of the Shen family.

From day one, Shen Mingzheng realizes that Su Ning’s “soul” has been swapped. He then watches, bemused, as the newly-arrived Su Ning promptly rescues a character destined to become an all-powerful villain and proceeds to treat this “disguised carnivorous plant” like a harmless kitten.

Shen Mingzheng: …So weird. Better keep watching…

The more he watches, the more intrigued he becomes. So he promptly hijacks the marriage alliance initially set for the Su and Shen families and becomes Su Ning’s contract “husband.”

His initial plan is simple: leverage this “interesting” person to help him climb even higher. But this “family” setup soon proves more complicated than he anticipated.

For some reason, Su Ning seems to attract every troubled artist in the industry—idol trainees robbed of resources, actors hidden away in obscurity, unlucky singers—all damaged and th**ny individuals who grew up in darkness. Su Ning, however, handles them all as if they’re just scrappy little kittens needing a gentle pet.

“Don’t worry,” Su Ning says. “I’m here.”

In time, these struggling actors win awards, the once-overlooked idol rockets to stardom, and the discouraged singer’s new release tops the charts for months. Known as the rising stars of the entertainment industry, they publicly express in awards speeches that the greatest salvation in their lives was Su Ning.

And to Shen Mingzheng, Su Ning becomes his one and only salvation as well.

So, being the “stepdad” to a pack of deceptively sweet, secretly scheming little monsters—at least when they’re in front of Su Ning—doesn’t seem all that hard to bear.

Summary:

• MC: A transmigrated, clueless “fatherly” character who raises supposed “protagonists” but mistakes villains as lovable sidekicks.

• ML: The true protagonist, a dark, reborn mastermind who’s captivated by the MC’s peculiar charms.

The novel didn't go in the direction I expected it to go. MC's keep getting belittled by ML's relatives and the villain Grandpa keep trying stir things up for no reason.

MC's achievements was limited, he should be the top agent, star of the story but it wasn't made t seem that way. ML has alot of involvements and alot of other companies. The goal of the novel revolves making the Entertainment industry a fair place where efforts is all that matters. No longer full of bribes and schemes. MC does... more>> see like mary sue but he's knows he can't help everybody. Though he really has 2 sides, he can read people pretty good but he can't read his own artists there's some sort of inner bias

ML rebirth goal was no goal, he simply fell in love with MC at first sight and became a giant husky, lost his facade pretty quickly. No longer the cool calculated president but an idiot love fool who smiles when ever MC gives him a bit of sugar. He doesn't even want to sing again or ever be involve in showbiz. I don't really get why he was rebirth if he doesn't go make up his regrets.

Also we are given too little developments of MC using top manager skills on other entertainers. We spend too time focusing on one boy band, also an actor who seems like she was never in trouble. I was expecting MC to save alot of people from the bottom, but we only got one or two, then came the established entertainers who he only needed to re brand. MC did showcase his skills but just seem not what I expected seems kinda underwhelming in terms delivery. ML also get marry to MC too quickly, putting a label on his as his family with his background, so alot thing was given too easily.

The cannon fodder villain also did themselves in, doing s*upid things and MC doesn't even lift a finger and they self implodes and go to jail.

The extras is also a nono a time line where ML threaten the MC, I hate that crap. I thought it was going to be ML back to his first life where he meets MC who becomes his agent, fulfilling his dreams but not gave me the blood dog drama.

I know I complain alot but this novel is still a decent read. The character growth of some characters were interesting, MC and Ml's idiosyncratic relationship, where they come together so naturally. Don't even need to reveal their deepest secrets. But MC never seem to care about his original world which is weird. All the matter was current timeline, watch them work together to become the giants of the Entertainment industry. <<less

This is a pure business novel. Lots of scheming, lots of maneuvering. Honestly feels a little like a PK with the revolving rounds of business opponents. But it's so fun!!

The love is sweet... the ML isn't as twisted as expected. He's a big puppy and the MC is soft on him. They have a sweet love and a lot of tolerance for each other. There's abit of a weird thing (?) where the characters are described as being 'powerful', but they're depicted as pretty weak/shallow. The background set up is... more>> a mess, it's pretty paper-thin and once they fall you realize they're really not all that after all.

The idol team is the main part of the story for around 60 chapters, and then its drama/acting. It's fun!! I think the pacing of how they churn out movies/tv drama is pretty damn fast. A couple of movies a year, 3 scheduled for each month. It's pretty cool. Focused more on producing and the business side of things. <<less
